Fun Super Bowl atmosphere! Halftime Bar and Grill in Rocklin is located inside Strikes Unlimited. As you enter the bowling alley it is immediately to your left. We enjoyed watching the Super Bowl LIV between the KC Chiefs and the SF 49ers at Halftime with many football fans in the house. By the time we arrived (which was 30 mins early) the dining section with plenty of high top and regular tables was almost full. There were also some booth seating and, of course, bar seating. Numbers were already placed on the tables making it easy for the servers to wait on the guests. We did find an empty long table by the wall which we later shared with another young couple and his family. Two huge big screens were side by side at the stage and many flatscreens placed at the bar and the pool table area. Our server was awesome, unfortunately, I did not catch her name. We ordered Garlic Parmesan crispy hot wings and Crispy Potato Skins. Good stuff! She kept coming back to check on us. Super nice and friendly! Great atmosphere to watch sports. Walked in a couple of weeks ago for a beer. Bars are looked clean, but while there no bartenders were in sight. I'll have to try again sometime. I went for a college football game, so a little earlier than likely their busy hours! I did however sit there for 20-25 mins (I know I was trying to be patient) and nobody checked the bar although there were employees present. We showed up for SuperBowl and are so glad we did! Our waitress, Lacey, was incredibly helpful and kind. Being vegetarians, we try not to be high maintenance when ordering food. But when the SuperBowl menu had limited options, we decided to go out on a limb and see if we could order a vegetarian gluten free pizza. It wasn't on the menu, but Lacey talked to the manager and made it possible. It was SUPER delicious and the medium size was perfect for us (two adults). I purchased a Groupon for Strike's bowling. This was good for 2 hours of bowling for 6, including a large pizza and sodas. Unfortunately, that had expired and since we've been to Half Time Grill on several occasions, we decided to use it here. Now, it's been almost two years since we've been back because the food was nothing to write about. In fact, it's a good thing I didn't review this place because I would've given 2 stars. We wanted to give them another shot in hopes that they may have changed their menu and maybe the cook? They did make changes to their menu, for the better. We ordered the cheeseburger $9.99, BLTAC $8.99 and two street tacos $3.49. The burger was good, BLTAC was rather boring, street tacos, ehhh, not good, we only ate half of only one. We also ordered two iced teas, a coke, and one beer. My Groupon was valued at $25, the price I paid, even though it had expired, I was still able to redeem what I originally paid. Without seeing my bill, I showed her the Groupon on my phone and we ended up having to pay a remainder of $16, not including gratuities. A good place to watch games during the day and bands at night. I really like coming here with friends for a game or to watch a band. This place is well set up for entertainment. But, things that go along with the games and bands such as food and drinks are just average. Pro: Plenty of TVs and all the sport channels. A good selection of bands on weekend evenings. Plenty of seating. Servers seem nice. CON: Food is average. Service is on the slow side. Faster at the bar, but not that much faster. Prices are just so-so. Well another place down the tubes. Firstly, I used to often suggest this place over Red Robin and just in general. Last night was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Service was absolutely terrible, the manager could've cared less about our experience and we were one of the only tables eating. So here it goes, we are seated, after standing in the front for a couple mins, told to sit anywhere we like. We place our drink orders, wait, receive our drinks, then are told he'll be back to take our food order, why we have to wait another 5 minutes before placing our food order? Who knows... So here's our order, not too complicated. We are warned the burgers come out a little pink which we, the 2 burger orderers said was just dandy. 1 - Cobb Salad 1 - All American burger - swiss cheese 1 - All American burger - swiss cheese, hold the mayo, + garlic fries ($1.00 up-charge) So I'm the last order. They bring out the salad and first burger and tell me mine is coming right up. No big deal, although we are a 3 top in a pretty dead restaurant food wise on a Friday night. So they bring it, and it has some kind of yellow cheese and you can see the mayo laced in where they scraped it off. Now, this is rather silly as the one cheese that should've been referenced on the ticket was swiss. For the All American burger it even says your choice of cheese, and lists them. Some of the other burger styles describe a default cheese choice on the menu. So, they take it back and I'm waiting again. It did come with a side of ranch I didn't ask for. I did request a side of BBQ sauce, which they charged $.25 for. It comes back, again, obvious the whole plate is the same except the burger and top bun, so my fries are now cold. The burger is cooked to oblivion! Another side of Ranch I didn't ask for spilled on my food. I'm pretty sure the plate with fries leaving the kitchen, returning, then coming back out to my table is a health code violation in CA. And here's the kicker, we asked to talk with the manager. Our server got the burger taken off, but the manager came over and didn't even ask any details or attempt to remedy the situation, it was OBVIOUS he didn't care, possibly cared less than our server who came back multiple times to clarify details for our pretty simple order. I'm real disappointed and suffice to say, I won't ever return, it is really sad how poor this experience was and the management needs to make some serious changes in the restaurant. read more

WARNING: I am highly disappointed. We came in to try the new breakfast based on having a coupon from an Entertainment Book my wife purchased in January. When we presented it to the waitress she quickly said they don't honor those and that they changed names a year and half ago. I asked to speak to the manager and he came out and said they changed names or sold the Coaches business a year and half ago and they would not honor the coupon. I drive by this place almost every day and never noticed they changed names. It is a bowling alley called Strikes which it is still called. If they bought this business a year and a half ago in June they should have stopped the coupon from being printed. In my opinion they should have at least honored a portion of it since it was pretty clear we were not the first to try and use the coupon. The huge dining room is also used as an entertainment center, and during today's visit, a crew was setting up lights and a stage at the far end of the room for tonight's benefit concert. Halftime Bar and Grill is part restaurant and part sports bar, as the decor is pure sports bar, and the menu is half restaurant and half sports bar. For $6.00 - plus tax, naturally - you don't just get a hamburger, you get a cheeseburger, with your choice of cheese. The burger starts out a quarter pound patty, a slice of cheese - I chose cheddar - and includes lettuce, onion, tomato and pickle. I honestly didn't bother to check if it had mustard or mayonnaise and after eating the burger, I still don't know, but I don't care as the burger was amazing. All of these amazing components are placed between a fresh, toasted bun. Pure burger bliss! I've never had beer battered fries before, and the fries were simply amazing! The fries were cut thick - just the way I like them - battered, and deep fried to perfections. I'm sure these fries won't win any awards from the "health police," but they certainly were delicious. I love burgers, and I know a delicious burger when I see, taste and enjoy one, and Halftime Bar and Grill serves a delicious, quality burger. You just can't beat the $6.00 lunch specials offered weekdays at Halftime Bar and Grill! The food is delicious, the service is fast, the staff is friendly, the sports bar atmosphere in unbeatable, and you get maximum "bang" for your buck. We were in town for my daughters soccer game that was just down the street. We figured we would grab a bite to eat before the long drive back home. We chose this place and when we arrived it was slow and had seen plenty of servers walk around to the table. We walked to the front to be seated and to our surprise....no one! Not one employee looked, talked, greeted us at all. There were 5 of us just standing there waiting to be seated. Then some man that looked like he could have worked there told us to take a seat anywhere and that someone would be right with us. HA!! Sat there for 20 minutes like idiots and not even the server that walked right up to the table next to us even glanced over or bother to ask us if we had been helped. We decided not to even bother walking to find anyone so we got up and walked out and still NOT ONE person approached my family and I. Too bad I can't give them a negative star. There are times when you just have to take your friend out and get sloshed. You know those nights. Something happened, someone is mad at someone for something they did that wont even matter in the morning. It was at this point I gathered up my best outfit, put on the sexy shoes and did my face up because one of my best friends wanted to go out. It was at this point I should have said to her...lets go somewhere BESIDES THE BOWLING ALLEY. Albeit, I've been to Strikes several times for bowling. I've had their pizza and beer, and it's all been in good fun. But for two gals, looking for a good time, and some good food, this is NOT the place. We got there around 8:30pm or so and ordered dinner. The waiter was ok at first, attentive, but not hovering. Then, after the dinner arrived, coincidentally, the same time our drinks were empty, this guy up and disappears! What the hell! So there we sat. My friend got the veggie wrap, which exploded all over her plate when she tried to bit into it, which, in turn, made little pieces of cucumber skitter across the table like rats avoiding the rising water. This all comes before she tells me that half the fruit in her fruit cup is overripe, and the other half is under ripe. Therefore, she's still hungry. Then, as I sat in front of my $13 plate of nachos, with an empty beer glass in front of me...I started to wonder, is the band coming on soon? Because if they're really bad, I'm gonna need more alcohol. Now in my experience, when I order nachos, I want piping hot cheese, with fresh chips and dollops of guac and sour cream loaded with whatever meat I choose. This plate made me angry. God knows how long it was sitting in the window, because the cheese was like rubber when it finally made it to me. The guac was warm. And th e bits, thats right, bits of steak, looked like dog food and tasted like tire rubber. The only saving grace to it, were the olives. Which, if I didn't like olives, would have meant that at this point I'm pretty pissed to be sitting here with $13 of inedible food and an empty beer glass. At that point, at new waitress came by. Thank goodness she knew what she was doing. I told her my complaint and she took care of it right away. The drink service from there on out was great. There was a old school R&B band there that night. That explained the over 40 crowd on the dance floor. I didn't mind though. They looked like they were having a blast, and no one broke a hip, so in my mind, that's a success. It's not getting 4 stars from me. The drinks are not that strong, which is why we had so much, and I tended towards the stronger beers. It was a little expensive on our end. But probably a little cheaper than if we had gone to a bar in old roseville. I know one thing though. I will not be going back to this place. What kind of a sports bar doesnt have mozzarella sticks on their appetizer menu? The food is lacking...sorely. I think I will just stick to the pizza and beer here...and bowling...everything is better with bowling. read more

Let's grab some food in the restaurant. I was wrong. After being sat no one came to our table for 15 mins. We had to waive down a manager to have someone help us. When the server came to take the order, my wife and I both looked at each other and knew the order would be wrong. Took another 10 mins for drinks which was brought in 2 rounds and had no ice. Had to ask for straws the second time she came back. She forgot our ice teas the first time. After another 1/2 hour wait, our food came and to no one's surprise, It was wrong. We sent it back. Server never came by the entire time. After waiting now even longer, still no sign of our server, manager or food we decided to leave. We walked over to our server and let her know. Was passed by a number of times by different waitresses and never acknowledged. We gave them a few more minutes, taking into consideration its football Sunday and still nothing. We then called the waitress and asked for menus, the waitress just said ok. 5 minutes passed and nothing. She went and gave another table a refill of drinks and another table a bucket of beer. She then passed by once again, which was about 20-25 minutes after we first sat down and said "you still don't have menus?" Owner Management Train Wreck Sorry to cross this bowling alley restaurant/bar off my list of food options in Roseville. My reasoning is simple. This place burns through managers faster than a California wildfire. Clearly the owners are failing as they have burned through seven or more managers in the past couple of years. The newest manager who just replaced the dispatched Wood is another sad situation. Unfortunately I witnessed this short and aggressive new manager sicking a large menacing bouncer on what looked like a responsible group at the bar last Friday night. As Susan F's 5.28 review noted, this bouncer started screaming at two middle age men and a women about paying a cover charge for music that was coming later. The group left after repeated taunting and screaming from this bouncer. I later learned that the new manager has a tough guy attitude and uses the bouncer to compensate for his shortcomings. Sadly, there were moms and kids in the nearby dining area that looked scared at the outburst. The situation was so badly handled it would have been funny if not so deplorable. The drinks are just ok, not good, not bad, too pricey for what they are. We are finally seated and our server began taking drink orders promptly. At this point I order a Bloody Mary, I figure it's a drink you really can't mess up. A watered down mess in a plastic cup arrives, really? Did you run out glasses already? At 7:30 pm? We order food at 7:30, half of our party received their food at 8:20. The other half at 8:45. So half of us watched the other half eat. Most food arrived cold. Vinny was sweet, he was apologizing for the kitchen, the bar and the service. He did his best considering he was one of two servers on a Saturday night. In conclusion... The food has potential, flavor wasn't bad but unfortunately takes forever to make and isn't served in time. Drinks are shit and too pricey for being served in plastic. Customer service suffers most. Went to half time bar tonite in Rocklin ca. Two older white women were told to leave by the head of security because one of us apparently insulted the younger women who took our cover charge. Which was a total lie!! We asked for the manager and we were told we couldn't talk to them!! Then we were told to leave and we said no and he said no we couldn't stay even though we were paying customers. He called the other bouncer and we had to leave!!! The food was good (that's why I gave two stars), service was probably the worst I've ever experienced. When we arrived, there were about four other patrons in the place. We were seated quickly, our waitress came by almost immediately, there were five of us and we were waiting on five others. Our waitress took our drink order, she came back a second time to ask us what we ordered, she forgot... isn't that why they carry the little notepad? About twenty minutes later she came with three of five drinks, we reminded her about the other two... that was the last we saw of her. About twenty minutes later, a different waitress came by (I am presuming it was the manager or shift supervisor) she asked if everything was okay and we explained to her that we still hadn't received our drinks, she took the order again and disappeared... about fifteen minutes of not getting our drinks, my wife proceeded to the bar where we promptly got our drinks, about another fifteen minutes went by and the waitress finally showed up with our drinks! She proceeded to take our food order, by this time the rest of our party had arrived in which she took drink orders for them as well... Again, slower than molasses in Antarctica when it came to bringing the drinks, it took forever for them to even bring water to those that asked for it. Once the food and drinks did arrive, they brought the wrong food and drink to one person. It literally took a good thirty minutes for them to bring all of our food out, those that were served first, were done with their meals by the time the last two received their salad. Even though the place started filling up with other patrons during the course our dining experience, it wasn't jam packed and the service could've been way better. Seemingly management really didn't care, granted they didn't charge us of for a couple of drinks... personally with the poor service, we should've received at least 25% off our bill. First time here as I live in downtown Sacramento. It was OK. Not great, not terrible. Positives-place is huge with plenty of TVs. Should have a good view of whatever game you might want to be watching that day. Also seems clean. Parking no problem either. Staff seemed friendly. Not so good-Service is slow. Very slow, and there weren't that many people in there as it was about 530 on a Friday night with the 49ers coming on at six. And I'm talking about the first time you see the waitress, when she comes to take your order, and when she finally bring your Bill. Just not good. Other thing is the food. Not saying it's bad, but they add ingredients that one doesn't normally get in another sports bar or restaurant. Using my cheesesteak sandwich as an example, they added something to it which I forget now what it was, but it significantly change the tasted, And not one I found good. Not saying that wasn't disclosed on the menu, I just don't normally look to see what ingredients the restaurant puts into a cheesesteak sandwich. Been going here since it first opened, under the name Coach's. I like their 2 big screen projection TVs and got there at start of 1o'clock NFL games and was enjoying the Seattle/Dallas game until it was interrupted after a loud mouth Raiders fan (of course he is) . I never had anyone from staff visit my table to ask about ordering food, drinks, etc. Also didn't get anyone to ask the people watching the games before this loudmouth couple shows up about who was watching the games currently being played before changing it by mgr (because of loudmouth) but I was fine with that as well. I just couldn't take the manager talking with the annoying Raiders fan for a good 10min after the games changed on the TVs about how they decide what to show on the screens. Just a bunch of grab ass. Manager changed games because 1 a-hole complains. Loudmouth even admitted he lived just down the street but wanted to eat but I guess ruining the day was on his agenda with the manager riding along in his back pocket. Now that we've been here three times, it's time for a review! This is a great spot for lunch. Everything we've ordered so far has been a winner. I've tried the pear and turkey salad, the club sandwich and the steak nachos. All excellent. They customized the BBQ chicken pizza and turned it into a buffalo chicken pizza for another member of our group, and it was excellent! Another person in our group says the club wrap is amazing. Wait staff is attentive, the seating is comfortable and roomy, and surprisingly little noise from the alleys. I selected "$$" for the prices but there are plenty of dishes under $10. This is the sports bar & grill attached to Strikes Bowling. If you order food while you're rolling on the lanes this is where it comes from. It's pretty standard pub grub, but they do a good job keeping things fresh. During the day and midweek this is a standard grill, after 7 or 9 on the weekends it turns into a club type spot and they start enforcing 21+... I've been there on several occasions when they're charging a cover, NYE, St. Pattie's, etc... Rocklin is lacking in sports bars, this place has a bunch of TV's, hot wings and a decent tap selection, plus it's a full bar. Great spot for NHL playoffs. read more

Came with a buddy who took me out on a belated birthday. He had the Hangover burger and I got the Santa Fe. Both of us got garlic fries. MAS GRANDE burger! HUGE! Very good. Tasted very gourmet. The fries kicked booty too! So much chopped garlic leftover that I ate some of it, nice strong bite to it! Beers are quite pricey on Friday and Saturday. Better to come on Mon-Thur. (only days with specials). Sat up at the bar. Bartender not overtly friendly and looked like he was too rushed when I was deciding from the big menu. Maybe he was just too busy at the time. Though the menu catches my eye as my buddy told me the chef cooks tri-tip or BBQ mid-week in prep for the weekend. Many menu options look good. I would def. hit this up again for the food. Checked out the bowling alley as this place is inside of STRIKES in Rocklin, CA. Super nice. Nicest and cleanest alley I have ever seen. Might be a pretty penny to bowl though. Well I did not see this coming. We went here as a compromise at work and I figured it would be average bar food. The burgers are fantastic!! The burgers are cooked to order and come with a nice bun. Ordered the Western Bacon which came with a monster slice of gouda, onion strings, LTOP and nice and meaty bacon. The fries were beer battered and a step above the average fries you normally get.
