I thought the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality. The cheeseburger was $11.99, the Swole' Chick was $14.99, regular fries were $3.99, and the chili cheese fries were $7.49. We definitely got a good amount of food for what we paid. There's plenty of seating inside and a bar at the front. My only real complaint was the fountain drinks. They don't carry Coke or Pepsi products and instead have RC Cola, which I had never tried before. I'd heard it was supposed to taste similar to Coke or Pepsi, but to me it oddly tasted more like root beer. The diet Dr Pepper was also out--it came out extremely light brown and mostly water. The ice machine also ran out of ice while we were there, but when we mentioned it to Joe, he immediately came over and refilled it, which I appreciated. Overall, we had a good first experience. The food was really good, prices were reasonable, and Joe was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It came slightly warmed which was very enjoyable. I washed it down with an Arnold Palmer. Very refreshing. Sitting out on the patio was very pleasant as it wasn't too hot outside, and the space is air conditioned in any case. Bennett's service is always friendly and very accommodating and this particular time maintained that special quality. We enjoyed watching the Super Bowl LIV between the KC Chiefs and the SF 49ers at Halftime with many football fans in the house. Numbers were already placed on the tables making it easy for the servers to wait on the guests. We did find an empty long table by the wall which we later shared with another young couple and his family. I was tasked with finding a location in the Rocklin area to host a memorial gathering. Since I…read moredon't live nearby, I turned to Yelp and started calling places close to the mortuary where our family would be gathering. Pain Killers was the third place on my list. My first call went unanswered, and there wasn't an answering service. On my second call, I was able to leave a voicemail. When I called Pain Killers, a kind woman answered within two rings. I explained that I was looking for a venue to host a memorial gathering. She let me know that the person who could best assist me wasn't available but offered to take my number and have them return my call. Within 30 minutes, Austin called me back. We discussed what we were looking for, and as you can imagine, it's not an easy conversation to have with someone you've never met. From the very beginning, Austin's kindness and compassion stood out. His exact words were, "We want to be here for you during this difficult time." Those weren't just words--I could genuinely feel his sincerity, not only during that phone call but in every text message we exchanged over the following week. Each time I reached out, I'd say, "Ok, Austin, last question," only to think of another one shortly afterward. No matter how many times I contacted him, he remained patient, understanding, and accommodating. He answered every question, responded promptly, and never once made me feel like I was asking too much. In the end, it was decided to keep the entire day's gathering at a church rather than the mortuary, so we didn't end up going to Pain Killers. Even so, I wanted to recognize Austin for the exceptional level of customer service and genuine compassion he showed during one of the most difficult times. The next time I'm in the Rocklin area, I plan to stop by, say hello to Austin, and make sure to give Pain Killers some well-deserved business. Thank you, Austin, for reminding me that kindness and empathy still go a long way.

I enjoyed my burger and fries. It was a good deal as a lunch menu item, which is offered until 3 p.m. The fish tacos were decent (maybe a little on the bland side) but still a nice option to have. The wings were dry, which our kid said isn't usually the norm since they order them regularly, but the mac 'n cheese balls were a hit, as usual. Service here is friendly, and the hostesses were warm and welcoming when we first walked in. Our server, Jessica B., was friendly and accommodating, offered solid recommendations, and checked in with us frequently without being overbearing. Our biggest bone to pick, though, was with the chairs in the outdoor seating area. All three of us were uncomfortable and hurting after a relatively short amount of time. I'd definitely recommend grabbing a booth inside, and that's what we'll likely do.
