WOW FACTOR? No. Nothing special. UNWOW FACTOR? Yes. Almost all the seats were high stools, which I hate because they are so uncomfortable. There were only 2 tables with regular chairs and these were occupied. Unlikely that I will return because of the stools. HAVE AGAIN: Pulled pork sandwich was good. NOT HAVE AGAIN: The Frings were good but there were just 5 onion rings - I would have preferred maybe 7. Good French fries. read more

Simplest advice is for the lady at the bar to change her attitude. We came in as a group of 4 to grab a bite and catch up with some friends and after 10 minutes of sitting there, we finally got our drink order in. Another 15 minutes goes by and clearly, the bartender preferred chatting up the locals at the bar versus taking a food order from non-locals, before she reluctantly takes our food order. Apparently, you aren't allowed to ask if any of the sandwiches come with fries!! Imagine asking if a sandwich in a restaurant comes with fries?!?! The response was beyond rude!! I won't get into the details of the exchange that followed but just do yourself a favor and dine somewhere else. The food is mediocre and the customer service is terrible!! read more

Decide to stop by here in the afternoon on a Saturday and have a drink and a little lunch with my husband. We were greeted by the bartender right away and seated right away. Is definitely a sports life bar. They have a very large bar, It's a very open concept inside very laid-back . Their local blonde that they make there was very tasty, hubby enjoyed that one a lot. I ended up with the espresso martini, which is also delicious. We ordered garlic fries to start off with and then we ordered their pulled pork barbeque pizza and then added onion rings to it. The Onion rings were very crunchy and the garlic fries were cooked Well as per requested. The pizza was a different experience for us. It was either the pulled pork or the bbq sauce that that made the pizza pretty salty. The dough was a little chewy as well. Overall the experience was good, but the pizza was definitely not something I would recommend anybody going there. read more

Another amazing experience! We had great service, and the food was delicious. The kids shared a large cheese pizza, which was more than enough for all three of them--with leftovers to take home. I had the small basic salad (my favorite) and the pulled pork tacos, while my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. We also tried the mini pretzel bites for the first time, and I can't believe we hadn't tried them before--they're definitely our new go-to! Decided to try this place for the first time. Just two people in my party. The bar/restaurant itself was nice and clean. There were maybe 10 total other people there, so it wasn't busy. We ordered the meatball sandwich and Cali Club. I'm not sure what took so long to get our food but the meatball sandwich came out first. The flavor was good and it was served with chips. The Cali Club came out quite a bit later. The bun was burnt and the server advised they were out of avocado. Lucky for them I was extremely hungry or I would have sent it back. They didn't even offer any discount, until we said something. They took $1 off. I hate giving bad reviews but this one is deserved. I doubt we'll go back. read more

This place is a perfect addition to the Lincoln community. They host trivia nights and have a space where you can reserve space for a larger party too. They also have outdoor seating. All the dishes are flavorful and priced fairly. It has a lot of great beers on tap and the bartenders and wait staff are excellent. Every experience I've had here has been positive. My favorite things to get on the menu is the different pizza options (the rodeo is my go to but they are all good) and the garlicky cheese bread is also 10/10. We were in town visiting our daughter and we went to brick and barrel. They have a nice big bar in there and their pizza was super delicious. We had the appetizer of the Alfredo chicken bread. Which was totally like a pizza in itself, which was so tasty we couldn't stop eating that. We ordered two other pizzas which were loaded with toppings, and they have a fun idea of putting french fries in the middle of one pizza that we ordered and chicken wings in the middle of another order of pizza that we had. That was an added bonus. We would definitely go back when we're in the Lincoln area. Their cocktails are very tasty also. read more

We usually love their burgers, pizza, and frings (fries/onion rings) They are super yummy, but we enjoyed a simple snack tonight. Now the bar - Jay is a true mixologist!! We were in Lincoln for a craft show and were hungry, We decided on Pizza and used google to find a close by pizza parlor. Brick & Barrel was the closest. Never having been there before we learned that all the dough is made daily and the ingredients are all fresh. The prices were fabulous and the pizza was delicious. Loved this cute little spot! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated quickly and our food came quickly. We ordered a pizza to share and a pulled pork sandwich, that came with chips. This place is relatively new and a bit off the beaten trail, near Lincoln Airport, but nice to see, and to support, a new restaurant start-up. We were a party of four and arrived fairly early on a Friday, 5:30, so not much of a crowd. It was hard to tell from the internet information what type of seating they have as the emphasis seems to be outdoors. On a cold and rainy evening that wouldn't be too good, but upon arrival we found a good variety of indoor seating, from the bar with stools to high tables to a few typical dining tables. The place is big and expansive. The menu is OK, and they are attempting to be somewhat creative, yet I'm not sure that tater tots with cheese, or mashed potatoes, on my pizza is all that appealing, but, hey, that's just me. The primary menu items are indeed pizza and sandwiches/salads with some appetizer type specialties. I ordered a large margherita pizza to share, another person a salad, and another a club sandwich. Their prices are actually quite fair, with $26. for the pizza which can typically run $30. or more at other better pizza establishments. The food was adequate and although the pizza was tasty it was very difficult to eat. The ends were on the soggy side and most of the tomato, sauce, and cheese just slid off the dough. We were not provided utensils, so it got quite messy. Luckily, they gave us lots of napkins! The pie itself was sufficient in size. My dining companions just shrugged when I asked about there selections, with the most comment being, 'it's OK'. Where they shine is in the beer menu, so many choices of draft and can, and just about anything for any taste. I had a medium body local amber type Auburn beer, and another had a light beer, both delicious. We do have many good local breweries, and it would be nice to focus on them. The service was excellent, and I have to say they tried hard and went the extra mile to make everything go smoothly. When they didn't have a menu beer selection the bartender came over to offer options and be certain a substitute would suffice. I was impressed, unlike others who haven't had the same experience. The atmosphere with large TV screens throughout definitely makes this place a sports bar, so that's what is to be expected. I hope this place does well and builds a strong, loyal clientele. They have gone far to create a new place, casual and fun atmosphere, and it will be nice to see them succeed. read more

Jay took excellent care of us. Google said they open at 11 on Sunday but they open at 12. We got there at 11:15. A party of 11 still celebrating the wedding from the day before. Just tried to go here for dinner with our two kids and give this place another chance. It's Monday night it was completely dead... we walked in and the bartender just stared at us and said nothing then whispered to the other men at the bar. Hostess said they only had high tops (which was not the case they had a huge empty room, plenty of other tables and chairs but would not seat us anywhere else but at a high top)... We didn't want to sit at a high top because we have a 4 year old and 2 year old and sitting on barstools is not the best idea. So they said sorry can't accommodate you and we left. I don't normally write yelp reviews but the staff who was working tonight was awful and super uncomfortable and it needs to be known. Lincoln local and WILL NOT be coming back here again. read more
