A hundred of us met for dinner at Half Moon along the Hudson. The seafood focused menu is always delicious, service impeccable, and the atmosphere spectacular. Coming from Florida I was looking forward to seeing the change of season reflected in the foliage. It was beautiful outside, and I enjoyed sitting along the Hudson at the fire pits. Trays of Wines & appetizers were served & delicious, the brie & jam, grilled mushrooms & shrimp were tasty. The tables were filled with family style platters of salads, pitas, dips & olives. I chose branzino with olive tapenade, roasted potatoes and arugula as my main course. The tiramisu with mascarpone did not disappoint for dessert.

Happy Hour Oysters! The BEST deal in town! Discounted drinks and appetizers - superb opportunity to enjoy the ambiance of the Restaurant. The views are great. The service is excellent and the offerings are OUTSTANDING! We'll definitely be back!

Quality place! I came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and he surprised me with this pic of a restaurant. He said it was different back in the day when he went because it was primarily Italian food, but now it's changed and it's more Spanish food. Admittedly, I forgot to take a picture of our appetizer, but we had gotten a hummus platter and that was quite good. It came with hummus, tzatziki, and one other sauce I can't remember the name of it, but it was reddish (it was good). I then got the steak medium well , and it was honestly Bussin gurl. Even the side salad was fuegooo. And the fries were crispy goodness. For dessert, we got the moose cake to share because I was way too full at that point, and we ended up taking it home because we couldn't finish it, but it was so good too. For drinks, we ordered a white sangria and I'm absolutely getting that shit again because I was downing that sucker cause it was (dangerously) good. Don't worry, though, I wasn't driving and I only ended up having two lol but if there were more of us, I definitely would've gotten a pitcher. 5 stars, ya gurl will be back. Also, it's off the water! So pretty outside!

Chefs choice of apps - not very good

It was so nice sitting outside on the water for lunch, although I wish they allowed us to put the umbrellas up. The oysters that we got were really good and so was the steak and eggs brunch. We also got the chefs selection of apps, which we didn't really enjoy so I wouldn't get this again/recommend. Overall, it was a good brunch and the view made up for a portion of the food we didn't enjoy.

Came with a group after a Funeral. The waitstaff was organized and friendly and handled the large group without a hitch. The salmon was moist, generous portion. The bread was fresh. The view is fantastic. Plenty of parking.

There's a promise: a sunset on the waterfront horizon, a fire roaring in the bar, boats parading around the river, and the grandeur of high ceilings. It's a beautiful spectacle, and you can wax romantic about the sunset views. But ultimately, the food is below-average and expensive. The fried fish was dredged in so much batter, there was uncooked raw flour surrounding a thin filet of fish. Powdery, pasty, raw batter. And then equally shocking, the exterior was overcooked and bitter from the deep fry. Mysteriously and unfortunately both overcooked and undercooked at the same time.

The Great service matches the Great location. Beauty view and a must place to visit when summer weather permits. The calamari was excellent. The Mediterranean salad was supposed to be with romaine lettuce but it was served with iceberg lettuce. The cauliflower steak was tasty. All appetizers in general were satisfying. Cocktails are good. Recommended and probably will be back to try the brunch service. Plus: It offers a wonderful sunset.

Cool as a cucumber cocktail.

Food was amazing! They have a new chef who is very innovative. Everything we ate was delicious. The calamari was tender, not chewy. The salmon had an amazing sauce. The chicken sandwich was crispy and huge! Delicious drinks and the FPBC ice cream sandwich was out of this world (need at least 4 people to eat it). More importantly, every server we encountered was over the top nice! We sat outside and a sudden rain storm rolled in. People ran inside and the staff was extremely accommodating during the chaos. They were chill while figuring out which table was where. All in all, since I last visited in 2023, this restaurant has reached a whole new level. Go asap b/c once people realize that the standards have risen, you won't get a seat.

Made a reservation on Saturday night and came here for brunch on Sunday morning when it first opened. There is a big parking lot and the restaurant has amazing views. The window/outdoor seats are first come first serve so making the first reservation of the day at 11a was a good choice. It was raining so the outdoor seating was closed but sitting by the window you are super close to the water, which was very nice. The tapas were very good, portions are extremely small, so keep in mind to order a bunch if you are interested in tapas. The flavors were great, pleasantly surprised by the mix of flavors. Our main courses were chicken and waffle and french toast. We loved the french toast, it was close to one of the best ones we've had. The chicken and waffle had lots of breading on the chicken and I wish there was more meat than breading but overall flavor and presentation was good. This is super close to our apartment and a wonderful place for brunch, would definitely be visiting again!

Beautiful views, gorgeous sunsets great food cocktails. Staff was super accommodating specially since we were celebrating a birthday. We had a great corner table, the food was great something for everyone special those with dietary restrictions. Can't wait to come back. There is also outside seats another great feature of the restaurant with fire pits if you just want to grab a drink and enjoy the weather.

Do I need to make reservations?

Last I heard they don't take reservations so nope : )

Is there a kids menu? Edit: I called and they said they have a verbal kid's menu. Mac n Cheese,…

Yes, I believe there is a children's menu, at least for lunch. You would probably do well to call ahead and ask so that you know what they offer.

Are we able to still come in via our boat and dock up at the dock? Also is the reggae band still playing sunday afternoons at 4:00pm? Thanks!

You can dock your boat although I am not sure if the slips are only open in the spring and summer. I would call the restaurant. I cannot answer your question on the reggae band.

When is happy hour?

I don't know

We were excited to take advantage of the brunch special with unlimited mimosas for a set amount of time. Unfortunately, we didn't get to fully enjoy that deal because the service was extremely slow. We only ordered entrées, yet our food took over an hour to come out. We were on a time crunch since we had reservations for a nearby tour just five minutes away, and we chose this spot specifically for its convenient location. By the time the food arrived, we had about 10 minutes to eat and had to rush through our meal. While the food was delicious and the drinks were great, the long wait completely threw off our plans. Overall, the food was good, but due to the slow service, we won't be coming back anytime soon.

Big menu even if you have non-seafood eaters. They definitely have the cool factor down pat, and are very welcoming. Beer list was decent, with some good options include from Finback, and also a great looking drink menu (was too early in the day). The food? Just alright. Got a Connecticut lobster roll on the waiter's recommendation. It had plenty of lobster even though it was a small piece of bread (they promise 1/4 lb). They used primarily claw which can be a good thing, although in my case it's not my favorite part; for a lobster roll I love when it's a mix of all of the lobster, with my favorite part being the knuckles. The meat was good quality, however there is very little butter and only some chopped scallions. Read: bland. Plus it came with a small bag of Lay's plain chips. For $30, I expect better than that. My son's fries were alright (also bland), however my wife's half chicken with corn looked great. Would come again however not rushing back. Pretty expensive for something that didn't come close to 'wow'. They seem to have good ingredients, so it's just a matter of elevating them a bit better. More style than substance right now.

There were plenty of street parking outside. The place is on the smaller side and can get pretty loud when there's a lot of people, but overall nice environment. She moved fast from table to table and we had to make several attempts before we were able to get her attention in a relatively noisy setting. The food was great! The chicken liver and beef tartare were delicious, so were the endives.
