This place is getting pricier now and they don't have stamp cards anymore. Most of their drinks are very good and I mostly go with their top 10 drinks. Their Boba has gotten incredibly expensive and the taste is mediocre. I am really disappointed in their bathroom key policy. Their bathroom is for customers only which I completely understand. In order to get the key for the restroom they make you give them one of your personal belongings. The only item was my personal cell phone, which I did not want to give them. The cashier informed me that she would only give me the key if I gave her my phone or another personal item. I had just paid for my drinks, $25 for three drinks, so I was definitely not going to leave and steal the key without my drinks. I've come here sometimes after getting ramen next door. It's just your average boba tea shop, nothing special about it other than the giant cup that you get. I've ordered the peach black tea and the almond milk tea with honey boba. They have a decent selection for people who are lactose intolerant, which is great for people like me. It took our drinks maybe 2 minutes to be ready, so service was pretty quick. They use flavored syrup as the sweetener so it's just like your average convenient boba shop. The boba was still warm when we got our cups and they were nice and chewy, and you can definitely taste the honey in it. It's one of those places that I feel like I would go to if it's convenient, like after I've had the ramen next door, but I wouldn't go out of my way to specifically get boba from Half & Half. For covid regulations, they are allowing 2 customers inside at a time: 1 ordering, and 1 waiting for their drink. During COVID, it is faster to phone in your order and pay when you arrive. Staff is quick and friendly. Masks are required by customers and employees, 1 person inside the store at a time, 6 feet markers on the ground outside for the line formation, inside waiting area blocked off. It's so hard to come across good boba that is fresh and has just the right chewiness consistency. And, when you find that kind of boba you will keep going back for more. When I'm not in the mood for milk tea, I do enjoy their Kumquat Lemon Green Tea with Green Tea Jelly. I would never have been able to tell the pudding was taro based on the taste. I docked 2 stars because the flavor of the boba was off... The syrup had a very weird after-taste. There is this really short lady named Chloe, she claims to be the manager but the way she took my order was incredibly rude to me, she rushed me and still got my order wrong. She rushed by speeding "what level of ice and sugar, what flavor and what else" and she keeps repeating it while I clearly said "GIVE ME A SECOND PLEASE", she flipped her eyes at me and I am very unsatisfied. Where it is convenient to view the drink menu on the wall. There are snacks on this menu if you want something to eat. What I haven't seen on any menu for a really long time is the Hot Grass Jelly drink. Now I have to decide what toppings I want in this drink. I went with honey boba and taro. The place is always busy with people waiting for their favorite drink or snack. The place is small not exactly a good hangout spot so we don't hangout there. My classic favorite is the Iced Milk Drink with caramel, boba, and pudding. During the winter, it's also a fantastic drink hot!
