Haley & Bear is the restaurant and bar located at the Doubletree by Hilton (formerly Holiday Inn) in Concord, which opened in October 2025. Formerly EJ's On Main, H&B serves breakfast and dinner in a modern bistro atmosphere. They serve hotel guests, as well as the general public. The dining area has a full service bar with 2 flatscreen TVs & high cushion seats, booths, high top tables and regular tables & padded chairs, framed pictures on the walls. Each table has candlelight, wild dried plant/floral vase, and small table lamps. The breakfast menu offers eggs, omelets, hotcakes, waffles, brisket hash, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit and pastries. The dinner menu offerings include a selection of snacks, starters, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, main entrees (steak, pork, poultry, seafood), and desserts. The prices are moderate. The full service bar offers 10 draft beers, bottled beers, wine list, spirits, mixed drinks, cocktails and mocktails. I stopped by H&B for dinner recently. I had made an online reservation earlier just in case. I was seated at a high top table near the bar and given food and drink menus. I was given cold water and I placed my order. I ordered two starters which was the Skillet Mac & Cheese ($11 plus tax) and the Tempura Fried Broccolini ($11 plus tax) and the Smoked Turkey Dip ($15 plus tax) with Housemade Chips. The starters came out together first in 15 minutes and the sandwich plate arrived 5 minutes later. The Mac & Cheese was a good portion of cheesy elbows with a cheddar blend topped with gratinee crumb, served in a hot skillet. The fried broccolini was coated with a semi thick tempura batter, deep fried crisp outside and served with a cup of cilantro ranch dressing. The smoked turkey dip was comprised of dark sliced smoked turkey, melted gruyere cheese, hint of horseradish aioli on a toasted parmesan roll, served with au jus for dipping. The potato chips were warm and crunchy, unsalted. I finished most of the food, but requested a box for some of the mac & cheese, For dessert, the New England Apple Crisp ($12 plus tax) was a good sized portion served in a hot skillet with chopped/mashed cinnamon apples, walnut streusel with two scoops of Giffords vanilla ice cream topped with caramel sauce & cinnamon. This dessert could easily feed 2-4 people and I did get another container for the extra apple crisp, which was great with my oatmeal. The check with Toast QR code was presented which was $53.18 with tax and before tip. Overall, the dinner I had was pretty good with leftovers. The service was adequate here and the main courses were served in timely order. I was able to watch sports highlights on one of the TVs behind the bar and enjoy some filling eats. I will have to try here for breakfast, since they open early enough before my shift at work.

We went last night and it cant say enough great things about this place. Seated quickly, server told us about the ribeye special (which we both got) , drinks were mixed very well . I got the HIBISCUS MAI TAI, he got the espresso martini. food came out, the steak was cooked perfect and the vegetable hash was on another level. So many yummy vegetables cooked perfectly, the Brussels were blanched so not soggy but rather bright green and tenderly crispy . We finished with the BRÛLÉED BANANA SPLIT And oh my word !! Outstanding !!! I wish I got a picture of the dessert but we devoured it! We will definitely go back

Haley & Bear is one of the best meals I have had in a very long time! What an absolutely incredible addition to Concord! My best friend and I try to meet up every 2 weeks for a catch up and girls night dinner or drinks and both agreed this place is absolutely going to be a regular spot! Everything we had was to die for! From the espresso martini which was one of the most beautiful drinks I've seen, to the crab cake, and the gnocchi! I told the waitress that gnocchi would be my "last meal" if it came down to it! I am still drooling over everything 2 weeks later! Every staff member we spoke to was so kind and fun and the ambiance/decor and lighting alone were enough to make me want to keep coming back let alone the insane meal! Cannot wait to go back!

Meh. Menu sounds better than it is. Overpriced and mediocre dishes. Service was fine.

I decided to go with the Korean bibimbap. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. I usually love bibimbap, but this version was extremely greasy and lacked the spice and bold flavor I was expecting. The gochujang sauce was pretty bland, and even after asking for more, it didn't make much of a difference. The rice had the crispy bottom you want in a bibimbap, but it still lacked that punch of flavor that makes the dish so satisfying. Overall, it felt like a very tamed-down version of bibimbap. The concept and menu are interesting, but this particular dish left me wanting more. Service was friendly but slow. I would still go back to the is place and give it another try.

The server was great and the place is unique, but the pour of wine I got for $12 left something to be desired. I was given a stemless glass of wine with less than six ounces of wine in it. The food had great flavor but the portion was drastically lacking. I ordered the dumpling pow bowl that was advertised to have dumplings and cauliflower in a Sriracha miso glaze. The bowl I got was the size of a cereal bowl. It had a very thin layer of diced cabbage with two dumplings cut in half and barely any cauliflower bits. My partner got a great sandwich, but the server asked if he wanted to upgrade for fries and he decided to get the curry fries. This was charged as a total additional side for $5.50, $4 for the fries, and 75 cents each for the curry mayo and the curry ketchup. If they are going to charge it this way, he should have received the chips as well. This was very misleading. The portions were totally off and ended up making the experience very bad for us. I can say we will never be back to this establishment and that saddens us, as my partner had fond memories of going to the Portsmouth location.

The presentation was wonderful and it will keep me coming back. I knew that there wermany other things on the menu, but I'll come back for this again and again. Two of us had the coconut curry soup and literally had to lick the bowl to make sure we du DMP t miss one drop of this. The other in our party had the salad And enjoyed it completely. The two others had the scallops and were very impressed. One of our party has a tomato allergy and they were careful not to have it on the dish. Then came dessert time. I called ahead to make sure they had carrot cake because i had read great reviews on it. It certainly lived up to those reviews. One of our guests was too full for dessert, but managed to get a spoonful of both of ours. My friend had the Boston Crean tart, and we all declared this a winner also. They were very accommodating as I had booked for four and had to call them before we came in person's plane was delayed. When I asked, because of the reviews I had read, if they would have carrot cake that evening, and the gentleman said as long as I'm here we will always have carrot cake. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a delicious, well prepared and well presented meal that is as fresh as can be. The service is wonderful and we will be back.

We were able to park close by and get in before the big crowd. Barley seems like a happening place. An upscale Irish Pub, for sure! The set up is a bar with a decent amount of restaurant booth seating. Of course, there were tables of different sizes available, as well. We were given a 10 minute wait after meeting with the Hostess. There was alot of activity around the bar and lots of drinks coming out of the bar well....always a good sign! When our time was up, we were quickly escorted to our table. We were each given a menu and a drink menu. Lots to choose from on both menus (see the pic below) I ordered the chicken sandwich with caramelized onions and my son ordered a Chicken Pot Pie. He had a beer and we both had water with a lemon. The food came rather quickly. I was immediately taken back when the caramelized onion was not on my sandwich. I was going to ask the waittress to fix it but it was far to busy and it was not a big deal. Of course, I would have enjoyed the onion but "no big deal". My son's Chicken Pot Pie was a good size and was thrilled with it. We both ate everything on our plates. Our waitress checked in with us a few times to refill, which was nice and came to take the plates away after we were finished. We did not get any dessert. To be honest, we did not see a lot of dessert plates coming to other tables, either. We were thinking maybe people leave to get ice cream at one of the nearby establishments. 5-Stars Price: Fair Parking: plenty near by Vibe: perfect...I would like to watch a game, someday, at the bar Pepsi/Coke: Coke Would I come again? Everything our party of four ordered was a disappointment, starting with an ice-tea cocktail that was undrinkable-- our nice waitress took it off the bill. My grilled salmon on a bed of rice arrived as dry as the Sahara, surrounded by burnt roasted carrots -- at least I think that's what they were. My husband's steak he ordered medium rare was also way overdone, served a block of with cold mashed potatoes. The overly sweet Apple Pumpkin Bisque (for $9) went uneaten after each of us tried a spoonful -- it was more like a bowl of pie filling than soup. Even the dessert, bread pudding with some whipped cream, was gloppy and unappetizing. This is a great place to go if you are fasting.

Our Mother's Day late lunch at Tandy's Pub & Grille was unforgettable and I am so grateful we wandered in. The chicken & lemongrass dumplings were genuinely one of the best appetizers I have ever had in my life - perfectly balanced, deeply flavorful, comforting and bright all at once. Every bite felt intentional. The rest of the meal was equally flawless. My Chicken Caprese sandwich and my husband's Club sandwich were excellent, but the dumpling appetizer just stole the show for me. My mouth waters writing this and remembering! We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful spring Sunday, listening to the nearby fountain and the happy sounds of families celebrating together. It was the kind of atmosphere that reminds you how special simple moments can be when everything comes together just right. What truly elevated the experience from excellent to exceptional was the service. Greg (and another gentleman whose name I did not catch) made us feel genuinely cared for and welcomed from start to finish - warm, attentive, welcoming, and effortlessly professional without ever feeling intrusive.
