There are restaurant meals you enjoy... and then there are meals you remember after you leave with a smile. Our Mother's Day late lunch at Tandy's Pub & Grille was unforgettable and I am so grateful we wandered in. The chicken & lemongrass dumplings were genuinely one of the best appetizers I have ever had in my life - perfectly balanced, deeply flavorful, comforting and bright all at once. Every bite felt intentional. The rest of the meal was equally flawless. My Chicken Caprese sandwich and my husband's Club sandwich were excellent, but the dumpling appetizer just stole the show for me. My mouth waters writing this and remembering! We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful spring Sunday, listening to the nearby fountain and the happy sounds of families celebrating together. It was the kind of atmosphere that reminds you how special simple moments can be when everything comes together just right. What truly elevated the experience from excellent to exceptional was the service. Greg (and another gentleman whose name I did not catch) made us feel genuinely cared for and welcomed from start to finish - warm, attentive, welcoming, and effortlessly professional without ever feeling intrusive. My room mate and I went to Tandy's Saturday night. She had been there a few times, this was my first. There weren't a lot of people there when we arrived around 8 - We thought at one point we would stay for the DJ and some dancing - We had a very nice server, Sabbian - friendly, funny, and had good customer service skills! Made the time even more enjoyable. She had the BLT and I had a Steak Bomb sandwich - they were both really good. Tried the Sam Adams Blonde Ale and we both liked that - As it got closer to 9, we realized, not that we are OLD, but we aren't stay up till 10 for dancing people, evidently....and decided to call it a night. Would go back again for lunch or maybe dinner ....but think the 10 o'clock dancing ship...might have sailed for us lol read more

It didn't matter how any of the 8 of us ordered our burgers. They all came out over-well done. Thinking that Tandy's cooks up a bunch of burger patties for burger night and reheats them as needed. It's a local watering hole right near the Capitol with your standard bar food and drink There were some great burgers and sandwiches and for a pescatarian like me some good options as well. I was not really looking for anything fried (except sweet potato fries)so I asked for the chicken Caprese sandwich minus the chicken. It came on French bread which IMO WAS too soft to be considered French bread but it was still good. Mark had the same thing with chicken which he loved. Moist chicken and crispy onion rings made him very happy. He also agreed the bread was a tad bit soft. We ate outside and although we were the only ones our waiter was attentive. They were easily willing to accommodate. We had some tables put together in what I'd consider a back room. I have only been to the bar area in the past. It's dark inside & definitely feels like a bar/watering hole & hangout area. I always get lost finding the entrance because it's kind of in the back & down some steps. We had some apps & drinks to start. It was our server's 1st night going solo; she didn't come around enough, but we knew it was because she was still training/learning. This place is super cute. A bit tricky to find, but open late and right downtown. From its ambiance you'd expect terrible bar food but don't judge a book by its cover. I had a Greek salad with chicken that was fresh, crisp, and refreshing. The service was great too. There's great patio seating outside on the upper level that has cute hanging lights, whereas downstairs has more of a divey but friendly feel. Sat outside nice little area to eat. We got Buffalo wings and the pretzel with beer cheese for an appetizer. As a self-proclaimed buffalo wing connoisseur, I would definitely say they are at the top of my list. Definitely I would say their claim as being the best in Concord is true. They were crispy had really nice flavor and a nice little tanginess to them. The pretzel was good as well. The cheese to dip them in it was amazing! My wife didn't have any complaints about her fried haddock. I got a Cobb salad, which was fine and best of all I didn't feel like I got punched in the stomach when I got the bill it seemed to be reasonably priced. The gentleman who sat us and gave us our food was super nice! As was our waitress!. if I'm in the neighborhood, I will probably be back to try some other of their food. We stopped in here while at the local festival. The outside seating allowed us to listen to the live band in the atrium. Service wise I give them a one star. It took forever to put in our drink order and then we didn't even get the drinks until our food came. Our drinks were the local brewery and were just in cans, so there was no reason for the delay. Our food was not bad, I liked the chicken Caesar wrap I had and it came with a good size side of fries. Wife had the honey chicken salad, she enjoyed it as well. I always support local business. I was walking around Concord and decided to stop for a pint and an order to go. The beer was good and server was friendly. I ordered the special and a bowl of seafood chowder to go. They gave me a 'bonus bacon fries' at the non special price even though I ordered the special for $2 less.. I'm so-so with this and went back to the hotel. No plastic wear, on a to go order. 3 stars. I have to go find a spoon and fork also I requested additional ketchup for the fries. Just OK for this one. The place was redone and the layout is similar to its predecessor with the comfortable main bar area/lounge with TVs, as well as the separate dining rooms and function room. Outside patio seating during nicer weather. There's also live music, DJ, and dancing here at night. Lunch and dinner are served daily. The prices are pretty affordable, sandwiches under $10 and entrees $9.99-$16.99 range. For desserts, they have cake, cheesecake, bread pudding, strawberry rhubarb pie, and sundaes. For dinner, I had the Cajun Whitefish ($9.99) served with a side of cheddar broccoli and rice, which was pretty alright. The piece of grilled fish was soft and flaky, but the spicy flavors were lacking. The rectangular entree dish was dominated by the broccoli cheddar and rice side which had a dense and clumpy texture and actually very filling to eat. I would've much preferred a different side to go with the fish. I was pretty full and passed on dessert. The service was adequate with my waitress delivering the food in a timely manner and checking up on me a few times. One of the owners, Greg was already in the bar overseeing things and he came over to say hello. Greg seemed pretty enthusiastic about this new venture. He is living the dream of several of my "20-something" friends of operating their very own bar and grill. It's a lot of hard work and responsibility. Overall, a decent meal in a good comfortable bar setting. I definitely would return here again to try out some of the other menu items and to check out the night scene. This place is a DUMP. Because of it's convenient location, my husband and I decided to stop here on our way to my girlfriend's funeral up in canuckistan. Boy was I shocked when I stepped inside this sketchy basement-type establishment. I honestly was expecting Billy the Puppet to roll in on that squeaky tricycle to tell us how to get out of whatever trap we were getting stuck in. After we had to wait forever for a table, despite the fact that this place, unsurprisingly, wasn't getting a whole lot of business that day, we were greeted with a very rude waitress. She had an attitude right from the start, and when we dared to ask a simple question about the food she got so frustrated that she began to yell at us. I asked to speak to the manager about this, and was told I needed to prove myself worthy by performing a very small task of bringing her the broomstick of the wicked witch of the west. My husband and I were downtown, it was around 11:40 am and we decided to go to lunch. We had never been to Tandys and wanted to go somewhere in town we had never gone before. We walked in and there was nobody around. There was nobody to greet us. We walked around the restaurant and not a single person who looked like they worked there. We saw one couple sitting at the bar but that was it. We walked around, we spent some time looking at a menu, we walked into the bar, we stood in the doorway for a time and after about 15 minutes of wandering around we went upstairs to the Barley House. I have no idea how good the food is or is not. I have no idea about anything. What I know is that we were immediately greeted at the Barley House and had a great lunch up there as usual. It is not a surprise that there was nobody at Tandys and a good lunchtime crowd at the Barley House considering the service or lack thereof at Tandys. It's to bad because we both thought the athmosphere at Tandys looked kinda cool. read more

Loved the food and service!!!! Went two days in a row while staying in concord and was slickly enough to have the same wonderful bartender both times. She was friendly attentive and precessional. First Lunch we had there we both did some beers and salads and the food was beyond yummy for "bar" food and the bartender who at the time was the only one working flawlessly served a full bar and dinning area with out being flustered or missing a beat! She was personable to talk to and was so sweet. Next lunch we did burgers and salad and they were melt in your mouth! Previously I had a really bad experience here. I think it was just a waitress who wasn't cut out to handle the entire, packed to capacity patio by herself. Inside the bar, it is what it is. Good place to have a few drinks or watch the game. Really, really reasonable prices. Service inside has been great too. You can't beat their happy hour. Half price drinks 2-10pm every day. We come here regularly now, but not for the food. We have only had a really cheap, but good, breakfast and a couple decent apps. We have never been in the restaurant.
