I'm not a local, but I can see how Reed's North could be a beloved local spot. It was the perfect ending after a day on the slopes. The waitress was very sweet, and service was great as our food came out very quickly. I had been craving chicken tenders all day, and the tenders appetizer hit the spot. They weren't overly fried, too greasy or salty, had plenty of chicken, and you can get all the dipping sauces if you want. The working man's salad was well balanced on the greens/protein, wasn't drenched in the teriyaki sauce, but the steak tips were a bit chewy (not too bad though). Overall, cute and quaint spot, affordable, and has live music around 6 pm! I'd probably be a regular if I lived close by.

We stumbled across this hole in the wall restaurant in Warner NH and I'm so glad we did. This small restaurant had a homey feel with home cooked food. I had a pasta and veggie dish, it was good I just wish there was a little more veggies in it. My husband had the Texas Roadhouse with pulled pork and he said it was delicious. He also had a mixed drink that he loved. Even though it was trivia night and the place was packed the service was friendly and prompt. I didn't take a picture of the food, but the mural on the outside was so cool. I would absolutely return.

Brunch halfway from Boston back to burlington. Small town between two i89 exits. Great eggs Benedict. Friendly and efficient.

Luckily, we didn't have reservations on a busy Friday night and scored a seat downstairs near the fireplace. Parking was a bit tight, but we managed to find a spot close by. The interior was beautifully decorated with string lights and barn wood beams, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was very kind and clearly tried her best to accommodate the entire front of the restaurant on her own - for her first evening on the job, she did a great job. We both enjoyed the specials - salmon with broccoli and rice pilaf, plus I had a delicious beet salad. I enjoyed a refreshing raspberry mocktail, while my friend had THE RUBY SLIPPER--Absolut Ruby Red, elderflower liqueur, grapefruit juice, raspberry puree, and a sugar rim. We waited a bit for our check since I was in a rush to leave to take antihistamines; unfortunately, I discovered there was mustard in the salmon sauce, which I'm allergic to. I should have asked before ordering, but I only realized after my symptoms started following my last bite. Overall, it's a cozy, quaint place with limited parking, and reservations are recommended for a smoother experience.

Live music on certain nights, but not the two times we went. We tend to have dinner early though. Starter salads and soups were delicious and homemade. I had a Spanish onion soup on one night and a caprese salad variation another night (fresh mozzarella and summer tomatoes with a basil aioli)! Mains were equally delicious - herb wrapped tenderloin cooked to rare perfection, Carlos Chicken (a brined half chicken then coated with Cajun seasoning and deep fried). We have also had the pork loin and another chicken dish that had a creamy, sublime sauce. Definitely indulge in the bread basket and desserts; all of which are made by Heidi, one of the several family members that have been running the Skunk since the mid-80s. From-scratch delicious food, really lovely garden seating, and great cocktails! And last but not least, really friendly, attentive and professional wait staff. All the reasons why locals come often and vacationers come back year after year!

What used to be a sketchy area is now filled with boutique shops, bustling businesses of tech and industry, arts, culture, and restaurants. One such upscale craft cocktail bar is Wolf Tree. If you didn't know it, you might feel as if you'd stepped into a hipster cocktail lounge in Brooklyn as you walk into Wolf Tree. They offer a variety of playful and inventive drinks. My friend was able to get a virgin cocktail but I just wish they had more than one single cocktail on the menu with vodka. With my choices somewhat limited, I went with a drink called "Friday I'm In Love": vodka, citrus, strawberry, mint, and bubbles. It looked beautiful when it arrived to the table and was a palate pleaser with sour, sweet, and minty flavors. They have weekly specials, classic-type cocktails, and what they call "happy meals" - a beer and shot combination. Don't fear, though, they still have Budweiser, Bud Lite, Miller High Life, and other draft beers for those feeling more traditional Upper Valley. We also ordered one of their charcuterie boards that featured local selections of cheese and meats, olives, pickled vegetables, cured mustards, and a baguette. A great selection but like most of Wolf Tree, a little on the expensive side. Overall I enjoyed my first trip to Wolf Tree and I'm glad hip places like this exist in the Upper Valley.

The interior and the cocktail menu reminded me of the cocktail bars that I frequent in NYC. It's quite cute, dimly lit. I think it's a great place for a date. I enjoyed the Night Vision. It's a rum based drink with carrot, ginger and pineapple juices as well as sesame. My friends got the Knife Fight which was a bourbon based drink with lemon ginger pineapple. Tasted like a gingery whiskey sour. If I'm in town again I'll stop by and try something else. Not sure if this is normal or if their AC was broken but it was super hot inside.
