We shared a seafood pajun, and each ordered an entree - two of us ordered the Donganitang (the white ox bone broth with tendon and vermicelli), while the other two went with the special (Dumpling Ricecake Soup). I added only a bit of salt and fully enjoyed this meal, even taking some home for later. It was a little tough to get the servers' attention for refills of the sides, but otherwise service were fine.

The staff even seemed surprised when I said thank you and commented that the food was delicious. The banchan that came with the meal was sadly mediocre. The naengmyeon itself was delicious. Perfectly chewy buckwheat noodles with shredded cucumber and slices of beef/radish. The broth was okay -- not the best I've had for naengmyeon but satisfactory. I paid around $25 with tax and tip, which seemed pricy.

Came here and tried their set menu for 2 (there's 2 tiers to select from and both of us had to pick…read morethe same set). When we went (9/2026), they their base tier which starts at $60 per person with additional items you can add for an upcharge or the Premium option which has no upcharge and includes A5 wagyu steak. Do note that because they're assuming a party of 2, when making a seafood and meat selection, it'll be for the BOTH of you (ie: you only get 2 seafood and 1 meat choices, not 4 seafood and 2 meat as we had originally thought). We decided to be baller and went with the Premium option ($98 per person as of 9/2026). Here are what we chose: - Appetizers - An assortment of banchan side dishes that are common in many Korean restaurants with a noticeable improvement in flavor and quality (Japchae was especially tasty). The kimchi was good and not overly fermented (plus for me, slight minus for the missus). The biggest bummer is that there is NO refills. - Seafood - We happened to get the Boton Ebi (a single marinated shrimp) as well as the Yanyong Scallop which were both fresh. Note that they are both raw so if you're not into raw seafood then beware! We selected the Ganjang Gejang which is a raw marinated crab in a sweet and savory soy sauce. Luckily they provide you with gloves so that you can get in there without making a mess of your hands. It was indeed fresh but wasn't my cup of tea (not used to raw crab). The missus LOVED it however so if you're Korean, this is likely right up your alley. Meat - We selected the Kalbi Chim and oh boy was this delicious. The sauce the kalbi was braised in was delicious and the meat was so tender and flavorful. I wish we had 2 servings of this as I would inhale both of them. Likewise, the A5 wagyu was equally delicious with a sweet and savory sauce glaze poured on top of the sizzling steak. It was a melt-in-your-mouth experience and another highlight of the meal. Main course - The Samgyetang is one of the main attractions to this establishment. Again, if you're Korean this dish can hold a special memory for you. As for me however, the best analogy I could come up with is to think of it as a chicken noodle soup, only with gelatinous rice instead of noodles. It's quite the spectacle as they bring out a portable stove to boil the dish on. The wait staff will then break apart the chicken for you which is nice. I will say that the chicken was delectable and extremely tender. The broth is very comforting and perfect for a cold day. I was surprised as to how much I enjoyed it. Be wary of bones however! Dessert - Ice cream from an establishment across the street. Nothing special for us. Overall we enjoyed our experience here. One of the BIGGEST issues we had however (aside from the non-refillable side dishes), is the complete absence of complimentary rice for the meal (aside from the rice in the Samgyetang which happens at the end. We found it baffling that it's $4 for a small bowl of rice (barely enough for one). Considering the delicious sauces we had for the A5 wagyu and the kalbi chim, it's such a waste to not have rice to mix it in. For $60 (or $98), the fact they don't include rice is a slap in the face for anyone who enjoys Asian food with rice and comes across as stingy (the rice was nothing special to us!). Our recommendation to the owner/chef is to throw in some rice for free as I'm sure they won't go bankrupt over it. Docking them for the rice alone. Aside from that I would still recommend this location especially for those who enjoy a hearty Samgytang.

Came here for a birthday dinner and the vibe is really nice - the lighting is dim and intimate, and…read morethe music is the perfect volume. However, I wasn't super impressed with the pricing and food unfortunately. Most Korean restaurants come with banchan or at least kimchi included, but you had to pay for all of the side dishes here, and it wasn't cheap. We also ordered the shrimp appetizer and thankfully asked how many pieces were included, since it was just 1! The meal ended up being a bit pricey for what it was unfortunately, which didn't feel too great all in all. Namul Banchan ($18) - the fact that the meal came with 0 banchan included and we had to choose was the first negative here. This forced us to choose between the namul set and the kimchi set, since getting both would have been $34 just for the side dishes which most Korean restaurants include. And while we do love kimchi, we have a lot at home so we decided to try the namul set. It was all around pretty good - the beansprouts, zucchini, spinach, and wakame had nice sesame oil flavors, but the portions were so tiny for the price. I love banchan but paying $18 for 4 little helpings of veggies didn't sit well with me. Raw Marinated Shrimp ($9/1 piece) - this was the most delicious thing we ate and although it's $9 for a single shrimp (we ordered 2), it's jam packed with flavor. It was salty and sweet with a really nice texture, and I would have loved to eat several of these if they were a bit cheaper. I'm not sure it's worth $9 for a single shrimp, but it did taste really good. Samgyetang ($22/person) - I've had a lot of samgyetang and while it was nice that the staff came over and prepared the soup for us by turning on the heat and then cutting up the chicken in the soup and serving the first bowls, there wasn't anything super impressive about this one. The chicken was a little dry and the rice kind of got lost in the broth the way that the staff cut up the whole chicken. The broth was homey and very comforting, but there wasn't a ton of ginseng flavor and at $22 per person, I'd have expected more. All in all, the food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything over the top either. On top of that, the price was on the higher side. I'd have liked to have a few banchan included or at least the price for the sets to be a bit lower, given that a lot of Korean places include some basic side dishes.

Champion Chicken with Clams: The signature dish, a bit too spicy for me... The chicken was very tender. Flash-fried Sliced Snakehead: The best dish of the meal! Golden Crispy Pork Belly: The dipping sauce was quite unique, a complex flavor of salty and sour, I didn't know how to describe it at first... Kung Pao Lava Tofu: Compared to authentic Kung Pao, it was a bit more like sweet and sour, but it suited my personal taste. Lava tofu is also a Yunnan specialty! Yunnan Ham with Mixed Mushrooms: The mushrooms were okay, quite fresh, but lacked wok hei (wok aroma), and the ham tasted really like overcooked lean meat. Handmade Braised Pork Soup Dumplings: Very pre-made, thick skin, sweet. Not recommended. Chinese Broccoli Hearts with Sesame Sauce: A savior for Cantonese vegetables... It was our first time here, and the first thing that stood out was the price. We thought Seattle was expensive, but this was on another level. The food came out hot and at a reasonable pace, but unfortunately, the taste just wasn't there for us. The fried pork was especially disappointing because it was very chewy. The one highlight was the fried mushrooms, which we really enjoyed. Overall, for the price and the food quality, it just didn't feel worth it. Probably won't be back.

There was also a great mix of modern and old school with lcd rolling menu screens, and of course the aforementioned classic hanging meats in the window. I ordered the two meat special, highlighting the crispy duck and roast pork, with white rice. The duck was properly crisp, tasty, and delicious. The pork was roasted to perfection and delicious as well. The rice was perfectly cooked, and got better with each bite as it sopped up the juices from the meat. Prices were extremely reasonable (around $15 for the plate) and the portion size was extremely generous (completely blew my diet for the day...totally worth it). Service was great, wait time was short. All around great experience! Will definitely be back!

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the food given that I enjoy meat but am not usually the type to go all out on meat at barbecue restaurants. Friendship BBQ has a wide array of meats available and in my experience, the service has always been prompt. I really like that they place your skewers on the warming tray to keep your food hot and tasting fresh even if you get to it later on in your meal. There's also a skewer bin so that you can keep the table clear and tidy. My personal favorites are the pork belly with enoki mushrooms, chicken heart, and pork intestine, although you really can't go wrong with any of the skewers (at least that I've tried). The meat with the sauteed bean sprouts (pea pods), grilled green beans, and egg fried rice are my go-to side dishes although I'd love to try out more.
