On the advice of my friends from Japan, we went to this restaurant. Very nice atmosphere inside and the restaurant looks very authentic, good service and of course the freshest sushi. I can't recommend anything specific as I think sushi is a very personal choice. It all depends on your fish preferences, but as we are omnivores we took a set from the main menu and were happy with it. We also had the teriyaki salmon and it was also very tasty. But my favorite of the evening was the yuzu sorbet, I liked it so much that we came back for it a few days later for takeaway. I definitely recommend this place. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

We were passing by town and found this place. What a cute restaurant with great food! Almost all the tables were reserved, so we got lucky with the seats. Sushi was fresh and service was great! They were super busy but still attentive. I would love to go back!

I had a wonderful lunch there unexpectedly. I have never been there before, and walked past it and decided to try it. We started out with salads that were cold and crispy with a wonderful vinaigrette. For entrées, I ordered the yakiudon and tempura shrimp and vegetables. The tempura shrimp, OMG! It was amazing, lightly battered very crisp and just sheer perfection. The chicken noodle dish was amazing, the noodles were very silky and the chicken was tender and just delicious. It was a perfect lunch!

Simple and authentic experience. Got the Hajime special with Uni and tempura appetizer. The tempura was well seasoned with a good, light crisp. The fish was fresh and tasty. Could use a slightly less rice per sushi, but regardless, we enjoyed every bite! Would go again. Thank you, Hajime!

I've been coming here with my family for years, and it never disappoints! With my family being Japanese, it's nice at restaurants when my family is able to speak Japanese with them, really feels like home. The sushi is always top notch, you can order anything and will be impressed. Also I'd recommend appetizers too - don't sleep on them! My favorite is agedashi tofu crispy on the outside but warm and juicy and full of flavor on the inside.

My neighbor recommended this place and I had seen several reviews saying it the best sushi in Westchester, so I had to try it. I hadn't had sushi in the 20 months we've moved back from Asia as it's always a bit of a disappointment comparing Asian food one has had in Asia with what one can get in the U.S. We ordered their tempura udon with rolled sushi, katsudon, rolled sushi combination and chirashi sushi from their lunch menu for takeaway. When I arrived, the tables and chairs were all stacked away as there has not been indoor dining since last year in March due to the pandemic. Three men were bustling about: one at the sushi bar, another on the kitchen and the third running between them to fulfill a line of takeaway orders at the counter. While I was waiting, more people came in to placed their order or wait for their takeaway orders. Now for the food. The chirashi and sushi were excellent - the fish was very fresh and the pickled ginger rolled beautiful on the side instead of dumped in a lump as I was afraid. The katsu was also tasty. The tempura was not as light as I had hoped, but I also wondered if it was because it was takeaway. Maybe it would be better if it could have been eaten there. Overall, we were pleased and would be happy to order again. In particular, we would like to be able to come again to try the tempura once indoor dining is available. [We added some sliced avocado in the photo.] P.S. I noticed some reviews referred to shouting among staff and I did not witness that during my visit today. In fact, they were all very polite and the man behind the sushi counter bantered with one of the other regular customers in a soft-spoken way.

*Look on clipp.com for coupons!*…read more My favorite Chinese restaurant of all time is basically right next door so I never was compelled to try Aria considering I don't eat sushi, but I got a coupon in the mail and decided to try it with my mom. First off just to note, it is absolutely FREEZING in there. Probably good for the sushi station that is right out where the tables are but definitely plan on bringing a sweatshirt. I ordered the dumpling soup which was really good, nice and hot in a cold restaurant on a rainy day. My only complaint about it was that they didn't pull apart the cilantro leaves and I got a big mouthful with a sprig of it and it was unpleasant, even as someone who likes cilantro. A little goes a long way! I liked the beef negimaki, naturally its a bit hard to eat and chew but that's how it always is. The flavor was good, nothing above and beyond. Surprisingly, I was much more partial to my mom's chicken tempura than what I ordered and I would definitely order that instead next time, I really liked the flavor of the breading. I was too full and cold to get a dessert but they had tartufo and fried ice cream which I'd definitely come back to try! It isn't the best Asian restaurant in the area in my opinion but not bad!

I had ordered the hibachi sukiyaki and requested medium rare knowing it would be more medium well which is exactly how it arrived. Most of the vegetables were decent but lacked character even the noodles were wanting for some seasoning. As for service, we had to look for someone to top off the water on more than one occasion. The seating is standard eight to grill. Overall the atmosphere was standard issue dim lighting and light background music. The vibe was great, very family oriented, most people there seemed to have been there before and are enjoying themselves. The show could have been better, seemed to have less tricks than your typical hibachi places but the interactions between chef and customers were great. The food is definitely better than your normal hibachi places. We loved the noodles and the steak was pretty amazing. The whole eating experience took about 1.5 hours, which was longer than I expected, maybe bc our table had a lot of people. So be prepared for a longer meal if you are up for the show.
