This is quality, quintessential Holyoke. When you walk in (& they do accept "walk ins") , Your given a warm greeting that feels like home. The gals all work in harmony. They seem to have their separate clientele but pitch in for one finely tuned, well oiled machine, if you will If you have not been in a while you should see the update.... Gorgeous! O took a few pics to share. The service is second to none. Prices are competitive

The entire staff at hair changes is phenomenal especially the owner Katie! I had an appt. today asking for a few pieces of blonde around my face, in balayage technique to brighten me up for vacation. She did just that! Katie is so sweet and listens to what WANT. As for her flawless work, the photo speaks for itself :)

The ower cut my hair. It was much shorter than the picture I showed her. It was uneven in the back. Would not go again.

Posting under a pseudonym for privacy. 1. Ashley, the owner of this spa, is a mean girl. She shit talks other customers... to the customers. She comes across as very insincere and more concerned with being friends than providing good customer service (hence, she will gossip about other customers to you). 2. The Wellness membership, particularly Wellness Plus, is NOT worth it. You're left on your own to figure out how to turn on the equipment because most of the time they're so low staffed (prob due to the above - there seems to be super high turnover) that there's no one to assist you with things like the cryo or the "brain tap". Plus, the headphones for both the brain tap and the zero body bed seem to be out of order or not fully charged most of the time. Also, the infrared sauna is a joke. It's always set to ~160 degrees, yet for some reason it's never actually warmer than ~145. It seems to heat up SUPER slowly, so if you're in there for 15-20 mins, you're lucky if it rises an additional 2 degrees. Their red light mats seem to be cheap/sketchy as well. The first one they had was replaced after only being used in the spa for a few months. The new one is by a brand called "Exquimac", which looks to be some shoddy brand from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Exquimac-Red-Light-Therapy-Body/dp/B0DRCZQDBK - It's kinda sketchy how there is literally zero info about that company. I have real doubts that this red light mat actually does anything, even though you have to pay extra for the Wellness+ membership to use it. 3. They changed the structure of the equipment reservation for the Wellness membership. It used to be that you could book each individual piece of equipment for specific times. Now, you can only book an hour to an hour and a half of wellness - and fight with the other customers to use the equipment that you're interested in. 4. This place is not relaxing. It has much more of a salon vibe than an actual spa vibe. If you're looking for a place that truly values customer service and has amenities that actually work... this is not the place.

This is a mistake that I have never made before; I missed my appointment. The second I realized, I called and apologized profusely and explained what happened. It was completely unintentional and I felt terribly. it was the end of an absolutely crazy week and my brain was scrambled. The woman I spoke to was nice about it and rescheduled me. What she failed to tell me is that they were going to charge my card for $165. The next week when I saw the charge on my account, I called them and left a message. Three days later, I called again and left another message. Three days later, again. I wanted to make sure that charge was for my upcoming appointment, since no one had expressed to me that I was going to be charged a cancellation fee. Mind you, I would understand 50 or even $75 but to charge the full amount of the appointment is extreme to me I felt really bad that I messed up, but it's unacceptable to just charge your card when you could easily enough notify the person that you were going to do so. They didn't get back to me for two weeks. When she did finally get back to me, she said that this was the cancellation policy and insisted that I had that information before hand. I explained that I was not going to be able to afford another appointment due to this charge. She said this was coming from the owner and that was that. Look, I know I wasted the time of the stylist, and I feel really bad for that. But this is the first time in my life this happened and it was not intentional. Their lack of communication and lack of compassion is why I won't be ever patronizing this business. They could've had long-term business from me had they done a good job, but instead, they chose to take my cancellation fee and run. Not so smart if you ask me.

I needed a cut and color and after reading the reviews on yelp I decided to try Serenity. I have to admit, I was nervous. I had been seeing Senior Stylists at some of the top salons in NYC so I wasn't sure how I this was going to go. Channel is the stylist who helped me and she did an AMAZING job. The color matched perfectly, she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it done, and she gave me a very cute blow out which I am happy to say lasted through the night and I am still rocking today! I felt like Channel really listened to me about what I wanted. I cant wait to go back to her in July for a gloss on my ends and a touch up. The salon itself is decorated nicely and is very clean. All the stylists and receptionists were very friendly as well. I wasn't pressured into any additional services and I felt very "at home" at Serenity. I am excited to try the spa out next! I would HIGHLY recommend this salon (and Channel) to anyone looking for a great place to go.

The room that the waxing took place in was dumpy looking, there were water marks all over the ceiling and the entire area seemed unsanitary. The aesthetician did NOT know what she was doing whatsoever and the waxing was extremely painful. She was ready to tell me that I was finished after 40 minutes of pain when I realized that the waxing was not complete. She admitted to me at the end that she was "sucky", left me with wax everywhere and did not offer anything to soothe the pain. They still charged me half ( like they were doing me a favor). The manager called me to offer for me to come back at a different time for another one. (Who in there right mind would ever ever return after being put through this). It took the management 2 weeks to refund my $ and I was in touch every day until they did. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone for anything. Do not go through the misery I had to.

Called and booked my 5 day free touch up with Kit, scheduled for 7:45 pm ....15 min before closing…read moreand was told they had enough time to do my Brazilian touch up that I just got done 4 days ago. today was the last day of my 5 day free touch up period. I arrived at 7:53 and the girl said Oh im sorry we had to cancel you because you were 9 minutes late ...and I showed her my phone that said 8 minutes and she said "oh...its actually 8 minutes...if you are 8 or more minutes late we cancel you. I was stuck in traffic and rushed there because of an unexpected delay. I just feel this was really crappy of them & I am a regular who buys wax packages ...so I feel like they need to honor my touch up tomorrow. Its really ridiculous...because it would have taken them less then 10 min to do the service & I would have left a generous tip. But now I am less inclined to even do business here any more.

Do not recommend. The spa itself is fine however the girls upfront push products and wax passes…read morevery hard. NOT a relaxing environment. I purchased the wax pass but instantly regretted it. Tried to get my wax pass cancelled (which I am entitled to per their website) it took multiple phone calls to try and reach a manager because apparently the front desk lady did not know how to do it and when I actually got ahold of the supposed manager she "assured" me I would not be charged. Well that was a lie. Shady practice that only cares about money. Do not recommend.
