I was so stoked when Skyler came back since she's the stylist I like to go to the most. RPS isn't cheap but I treat myself to it and every cut I get is well worth it. They quoted me initially during a consultation for 3 hours from 1-4pm. When I arrived for my appointment, my stylist took me 20min after my appointment time started as she was busy with another customer. We ended the appointment at 4:22 and I assumed it would still be 3 hours given the delayed start. The receptionist pulled the price up to have the stylist confirm. The stylist shrugged and said "we started a bit late but that's fine." Then I saw the price and they added a full hour to the total price. After tip, it was over $460. Given it was my first time I felt overwhelmed and didn't say anything and cause a scene. I regret not speaking up in the moment. However I don't recommend people go here as they may do the same to you. I won't be returning.

It wasn't until after she stuck me under the dryer for an hr so she could take care of some personal problems, before she told me the store only had 18 in. After 2 twist were installed I immediately told her the hair was to long. She cut the hair but it was still to long. After taking a break and waiting on her to "pop out" she asked if I wanted it shorter only to tell me if she cut it anymore, I would look like a Lion. I told her to take the hair out and I left the salon. I spent my whole Saturday there and got nothing. Then she had the audacity to ask me to pay her. I already paid an $80 deposit and gave her an additional $60 for my wash and condition. I'm so disappointed, this was suppose to be my bday hair and she messed it up. Had she told me in the beginning she couldn't find the 16 or 14 in, we wouldn't have wasted each other's time. Very unprofessional stylist I would not recommend this establishment.

When he was done, it was still partially wet and not straight at all. Last night I slept with a silk bonnet on, and despite that I woke up this morning and it is very wavy and super thick and frizzy. Something that could be maintained every 3-6 months as I have two small kids and a day job. After a few washes, the top was very dark with a bright section below it, so it looked grown out after just a week. I messaged my stylist with photos of the result and of what I'd expected. She was responsive, suggested adding highlights to soften it, and booked me at her first available opening. I'd let her know ahead of time that I am on work calls during that slot, and she said that was fine the first time, I presumed it would also be for this one. Before she started the redo, I asked if we were totally clear on the look, and said I might not know the right technical terms, to correct me if i was saying something that wouldn't achieve that look, and we revisited the photos I had sent her. She said she absolutely knew what fix was needed. At the end, when it was improved but still not right, she admitted that reaching the color in my photos would have meant "breaking my base", which she didn't do, because she didn't want to do that without asking me. The problem was, she never asked. All that said, it was much better than my original appointment and I told her while it wasn't fully what I was going for, it was fine, and I'd check with my previous stylist to see what treatment they did and see her in January. I thanked her on my way out and had already booked my next appointment. That evening the salon texted that the owner decided I "may not be the best fit." His public reply to my Google review says I belittled my stylist and that other clients stopped to listen, which is odd given I didn't raise my voice, ask for a refund, or even ask for her to try anything further that day. I gave honest feedback to someone so that we could eventually get it right. In my personal experience as a former business owner, rude customers making a scene (how the owners described me when n their response to my Google review) rarely book their next appointment on the way out. In any case, if you're a client who will speak up when your color isn't right, I'd book somewhere else.
