I have alopecia. I went to see Latefa, the owner. she used to do my hair before I went to work in a different state. When I came back, I went back to her. She has captured everything that I wanted. I got silk presses from Jade for several months and she was excellent! The cancellation policies are terrible though and the owner is rude. I booked an appointment at 6:40 am on a Thursday for Friday at 11:15 am. That same Thursday, I found out that I wouldn't have childcare, so I called at 6:00 pm to cancel as the appointment system instructed me to do. No one picked up the phone. I called the next day at 8:00 am and no one picked up the phone, so I left a message. I called again at 10:00 am and spoke with someone about it letting them know the situation. They told me that on top of the $30 deposit being non-refundable, I would have to pay half of the service in order to book again. Note that I would have had to pay for the full service also if I re-booked. I explained my situation and they didn't care. I think this is a bogus policy, especially for loyal clients. The non-refundable deposit should have been the inconvenience fee especially because I did try to contact them twice. read more

My hair has literally flourished under her care and I enjoy my regular visits. She's priced fairly and knows her craft. From silk presses, to box braids and my regular in between trims, those protein treatments and deep conditions keep my hair happy and healthy. The way I tear my ends up in between visits is all on me lol. Regardless, if you're looking for a new stylist, I highly recommend Desiree at Glamshe, she's friendly, talented and will have your hair laid (insert brown skinned clap emojis - you know, for extra emphasis). I made an appt for makeup and eyebrows because I had to attend a wedding in Durham, NC. I searched online and found Glamshe. I used the online system to book my appt. I arrived at Glamshe and met Jaralyn, the on-site Esthetician. She was friendly, and personable. She explained her eyebrow preparation and took her time waxing, shaping, and sculpting my brows. She then moved on to my make-up. Jaralyn is meticulous and she takes her time with her work. My makeup was flawless and I received many compliments when I left Glamshe. I recently moved to area and it's was my birthday this pass weekend. I wanted to treat myself to a new style and was not pleased. The stylist was nice but had no clue what she was doing. They charged me a crazy amount for something I could have done at home just placed the wig on and that was it. I do not recommend save your money and practice on YouTube. read more

I got a sew in weave/leave out and bought three bundles of 20inch Brazilian straight hair! It feels amazing! The sew in weave looks so natural nobody can even tell its not my real hair. The service was great! The braiding was amazing for the sew in weave, tight! The lady that did my hair was LALA she is amazing! I recommend her! It was so fast! It looked incredible! This was my first time ever going to this shop,.my first time ever getting my hair done in the state of NC and I am highly disappointed. I have a full sew in and my foundation braids are super big, bulky and can be seen and felt. My weave looks extremely thin even though I told the young lady I like the fuller look and if I had to get more hair I would. She said nothing and I still had hair left over when she finished. The look of disgust, dissatisfaction, displeasure was shown all over my face but the stylist didn't care. She got her money because she provided a service she was not concerned about the customer being pleased or not pleased with her service. I will try to contact the owner I'm hopes of this issue being resolved to my satisfaction. As of now I would never recommend this place. read more
