Brittany is amazing! I'm finally back on my healthy hair journey and I'm so thankful and excited!…read moreOh and my husband keeps asking me when I'm going back! Lol

I have always been a huge fan of the pixie cut and I wore one for over 10+ yrs. One of the main…read morereasons I chose to wear a pixie cut (other than the fact that a cute pixie will make you look and feel sexy) was because I have had SEVERAL bad experiences and I didn't trust anyone with my hair. And I was embarrassed of certain areas of my hair. And every time I would try and give a hairstylist a chance, they would say mean things to me or make me feel even more insecure than I was already feeling. And I gave up on going to the salons. I had lost all trust and faith in hairstylist. But during the pandemic I decided to grow my hair out. Not only was I tired of having to maintain the pixie cut, I just wanted something different. During my transition of growing my hair out I decided to wear braids and this was when I met Brittany. I had began to get my hair braided by Ms. Kandy and while I'm the chair Brittany came in and introduced herself and gave me her card and said to come see her when I was ready to wear my hair. Her sister (who is the owner of Amaka's International Hair Salon) was very nice as well. She too came in a talked me and made me feel comfortable and I felt at home. Anyways, once my hair had reached a length I was okay with wearing out, I did just that. I stepped out on faith and made an appointment with Brittany. She and her sister were so welcoming, I had to go back. I have several areas of my hair that needed some love, and Brittany did just that. She nursed my hair back to life. My first appointment she asked a lot of questions and made me feel extremely comfortable. By the time I made my appointment, my hair had grown out and I was now relaxer free and Not once did Brittany make me feel like it was impossible for me to stay natural. But instead She's always giving me good hair tips on how to maintain my natural hair in between appointments. Brittany is always polite, she's ALWAYS on time, and I'm always her priority while I'm in her chair. I absolutely love my hair and Brittany have renewed my faith in hairstylist. If you're looking for a great hairstylist that cares about you, your hair, and in making you feel special, Go see my girl Brittany! I promise, she's the truth!

I'd treat my mom and me to a little glamour. As soon as you walk in the door the treat you like family. When you step out the door you're ready for NY fashion week. If you have and event coming up or you just need some pampering. This is the place. Memberships are reasonable and come with 2 blow outs a month.

She was so nice to talk to and told me she would book me with her most experienced stylist. When I arrived on time there were 2 stylist working on clients and no one was at the front desk. Neither stylist acknowledged I was there for about 20 minutes. Not even a smile or anything. My stylist was young and nice enough but she was absolutely not all that experienced. It seemed she made a half effort. I think she spent less than 30 mins on my hair and that's with me having her change things. I had pieces of hair that were straight and some curled. The back looked ridiculous. I don't have to have perfection but this was just lazy and it cost me $100. I called several times to talk to the owner. I left several messages. I was nice and didn't say what I was calling about. I simply said I wanted to talk to the owner about a mother of the bride appointment so the owner wouldn't be put off. I never received a phone call back. I left 3 messages. I'm from Greensboro and have used blow dry bars. I actually would fill-in at the front desk for a friend that owned one. I know how blow dry bars should behave. Blo in Chapel Hill is bare bones. It's not pretty inside like most blow dry bars, No offer of a drink, no "it's good to see you", no "thank you for coming today" I think they are used to working on students that don't care about customer service. If you want to be pampered and have a special girls outing this is not the place.
