She really listens to what I want, and offers great suggestions. And she is very personable, just the right balance of warm friendliness. I sometimes get a halo highlight (shhh, don't tell!), which is the perfect color and reasonably priced. She has also cut my daughter's hair, including cutting off over 11" for a wig donation. My daughter wasn't sure if she would like her hair short, but Amanda made sure that she loves her new sassy 'do! The salon is a small studio located in a building that hosts numerous others. Very clean. Easy to find. Parking is great.

I've had some bad experiences with people who don't know what to do wtih thick hair! I was booked with Lauren. She not only cut my hair beautifully and gave me exactly what I wanted, she was lovely to talk with and get to know. I really appreciated that after she was done drying and cutting, I had asked if I could take off a little more length, and she happily obliged. It was clear she wanted to keep going until I was satisfied. I paid $60 which is I think pretty standard. I feel fortunate that I found my new go-to salon on my first try!

I literally can't imagine life without a visit to Marie every six weeks or so. She's a master with color, cut and style and never stops learning and perfecting her art. She also does hair extensions, bridal and formal hair, waxing, perms, Brazilian and Keratin smoothing treatments...she really does it all! I am not kidding when I say I had no less than 15 compliments at work the day after my last cut/color. She is however apparently not good at updating her address here (probably because she works practically 24/7), so let me share that she is now at the Wanderlux Suites off of 751 in Durham. My way of remembering is that it is the exit after Streets at Southpoint off of 40. (coming from Raleigh). If you want a stylist with experience who truly cares, this is your place! Highly recommend!

She recently moved into her new location in Cary. I wanted to change things up. I came to her to fix another stylist's cut I received a week prior. I don't fault the previous stylist as I think I may not have communicated enough to him what I wanted. But, glad I found Marie. We communicated through text to pin down a good time for the appointment. I came to her with some past pics I had and some ideas. Her personalized solution was a long layered bob cut. Watching her technique and showing the progression with the mirror to see the back side the whole way was a nice touch I did not receive at the prior place a week ago. I enjoyed sharing with her how I found her through Yelp and discussed the great advantages of connecting with others through Yelp and LinkedIn. I loved sharing foodie tips and places with Marie. I would definitely recommend her to others and I look forward to returning again. Thank you Marie! I wish you all the very best on your new location. I don't usually post bad reviews, but these online booking scams must STOP. I booked an appointment on 1/30/2025 to have my hair done on 2/20/2025. I never heard anything from the stylist to confirm my appointment (which is ok) however, the evening before my appointment there was inclement weather, prompting me to try and reach out to the stylist as not to be a no show. Unfortunately, there was no telephone number on the booking site to contact the stylist in order to see if the appointment was still on, so I tried reaching out to the stylist on Instagram a few days before my appointment to confirm but I received no response. Then I finally found a number on Yelp and called it several times the day before my appointment, but no one answered. It wasn't until 8:39am the day of my 10:00am hair appointment that I heard something from Samantha Shavonne referencing rescheduling the appointment for another time/day. (Please see photo of the text thread.) I was more than okay rescheduling the appointment for a later time/day due to the weather and how far I was traveling. Unfortunately, I never received a response from Samantha Shavonne to reschedule. It has now been over a month from the date of my appointment, and I still have not heard anything from her. Confirming her unprofessionalism. Long story short, of course she kept the $20 deposit!! She doesn't even follow her own rules! (See photos from her booking site below) At this point, I consider that money a loss for me, but I hope it's a blessing to her. My only intent for this review is to inform future clients of my experience and hope that this stylist makes a positive professional change when dealing with future clients so that they do not waste their time & money.
