I made an extremely impulse decision to try DryBar, and I wasn't disappointment. The staff was welcoming, pleasant and I felt taken care of here. I was given options on a complimentary drink and I got the mimosa which was really good. I appreciate this. The vibe here is fast paced but not to the point where the service felt rushed in any way. For the price point, I am satisfied. As someone with thick coily hair, I'm always hesitant on who I allow to heat style my hair. I appreciated Briana's expertise and gentleness in blowing my hair out. The product used was the blowout defense. Briana did a fantastic job and I left very pleased with the results. Booking my appointment was effortless. They do request for a card to schedule an appointment but I was only charged for the service at checkout. $59! I was on a long road trip to Georgia and decided to spend the night in Raleigh and get my hair done at the midtown location. I was nervous given there weren't great reviews on Yelp and other sites for the location and I wasn't sure how great they would do natural hair, but JaLissa really hooked me up. She was thorough, professional, and made it feel like a luxury experience. She saw me a little early and got out of there (with a bomb hair style) in less than an hour. There laughed , danced, and helped one another which just gave "Women smile here " like a vibe in a movie it was so awesome ! I've been there twice with Kayla and cali and they've done a great job. But I went today and earlier at 7am and I felt like the service wasn't as pleasant as before I understand that it was earlier in the morning but I felt like my hair was rushed I told the stylist Briona that I did need a flat iron root touch up and she completely missed it ... I'm just sad about the time and money I spent there and it wasn't what I wanted and i can't go back and fix it because it's the day before my sisters wedding.. but my other two experiences were Amazing. i got my hair done here for my senior photos. stylist was very nice and gentle with my hair, she took time to ask my about my hair (does it hold a curl or will i need products to make it stay longer, etc). she took her time and the end result was fantastic! the products smelled incredible too! my hair held for the length of my photo session and even into the night which was great because my hair never holds a curl. i would 100% recommend dry bar for hair styling before an event. read more

The team at Midtown East did a fabulous job! I've been a Drybar fan since 2013. When I was traveling for work I would always go to the dry bar locations in San Francisco and San Jose and they never disappointed. I really appreciated this location practicing excellent social distancing protocols. I was getting my hair done for a date on Sunday and the stylist gave me some amazing tips on how to keep my blowout beautiful for the next day. I will most certainly be coming back to this location. This is the opening weekend for this Drybar location! The Drybar chain is super popular because the customer service is always top notch. Each stylist is trained, equipped and highly qualified. There is consistency with the style you are getting, no matter who is doing the styling! You check in at the front desk and they immediately offer you a complimentary beverage. They truly make you feel like a queen here. They are prompt with appointment times and you are greeted by your stylist who takes you to your seat. You get a mini consultation when you are seated at your station. There is a helpful book with pictures you can look through, so you get the specific look you want! After you decide what look you want, you get an amazing shampoo/conditioner/head massage. Then the blow dry magic happens! You will leave happy and with a newfound blowout obsession! Oh! And while you are getting your hair done, they have romantic comedies playing on the TV in front of you! What a fun experience! This is probably the best drybar location I have been to, although I do have a special place in my heart for the Las Vegas drybar. I have the barfly membership so I've been a few times. They are always right on time, I've never really had to wait for my appointment. Parking is pretty easy, as it is located in an outdoor shopping center. I have had great experiences with all the stylists. Attached is the photo I show other salons of my favorite hairstyle! It was done by the manager who is also a stylist. No thank you. I tried to book a group of people for an event but was told they couldn't accommodate and didn't try at all to work out anything ( like staggering appointments). So only a few of us could go. The appointment started 30 minutes later, without a real apology. Then the rest seemed so rushed to get back on schedule. The blow out was just blowing my hair (no real round brush use or curlers to set the hair) so it was super flat. And some curls were added that fell nearly immediately. I had to go home and redo it. Also- despite advertising that you can get wine during the blowout, you can only have one glass. Having been to other sites, it seems like the staff here were not trained at all. I'm used to Drybar having higher standard. This was a huge waste of $55. Learn from my mistake. read more

I came in about 5-7 minutes early for a 4 PM appointment on a Sunday. My stylist was 35 minutes late. Usually I'm ok to wait a little but considering I had a dinner that night I was pushed for time. One apology was issued, nothing else. Not worth $55. I will keep going to Blown Away, at least when I leave there I'm literally blown away with their excellent & prompt service. Their blow outs are subpar and I find that their products make my hair SUPER greasy! Usually I can keep a blow out for a solid week (course, thick hair) but within 2-3 days I look like a grease ball after Dry Bar. read more
