Cute bistro right near the weekend farmer's market. The service was good, but then after delivering our food the waitress sort of dissapeared. The food itself was lackluster. The breakfast sandwich was just kind of sad. It had egg, meat and cheese on marbled rye, but I don't eat meat so asked for something like a slice of tomato instead, but it was just dry sort of like just taking toast and slapping an egg on it that I could make at home. If I go back I just wouldn't get the breakfast sandwich. Not sure if their other options are better.

I would gave a 3.8 stars for the food and 4 for the service. Had breakfast on a Sunday. Basic breakfast meal. I would go back again. Also had fish and chips take out few days back and I would gave it a 4 stars.

Breakfast Sunday morning. Easy parking. Comfortable booth seating. Excellent service. Pancakes were SO good. Haile Village architecture is so cute too.

We came here around lunch time and were so thrilled they serve breakfast at such a late time. They had quiche and I was kind of excited about it but when I go to order they are out along with a number of other items. Oh well. My partner orders biscuits and gravey and it was fabulous. I guess they could stay open on this alone. My Reuben sandwich tho was Pathetic and I mean pathetic. See my picture- the little meat it did have was riddled with fat hunks. I squeezed about 1/2 a fatty sandwich out of the whole one I was presented with. I would of sent this crap back but no- the waitress sucked beyond belief- we didn't see her after she delivered the food so how am I gonna send it back? She also had attitude like I was putting her out. there was hardly anybody in there to begin with and the waitress was MIA except to deliver food. Probably will not return based on my first impression.

Sandwiches, quiche, and coconut cake and Pecan "something or other" delicious

Queens Tea was great. The food was amazing. The tea was brewed perfectly, they also offered different flavored teas for your next pot. Honestly, I've never had a scone before. So, so tasty. Add the cream and best strawberry jam I've ever tasted.

I recently moved to Gainesville and live in Haile Village. I love the walkability of this area, however, after two visits to Haile Village Bistro, sadly, I cannot positively recommend this place. The first time I went in for breakfast and ordered pancakes. They arrived burnt and couldn't believe the server actually brought them to the table. Today, I walked down to get a burger. I ordered it cooked medium and was served practically raw meat. Two visits, two fails on two items any basic cook should easily be able to make. On a positive note, my server today, MJ, was super nice and attentive.

We'd never heard from any of our friends getting brunch at this place before but we thought we'd check it out after the farmer's market. We waited a bit for the food, but it was understandable because there was a large party who sat before us. The food was better than I expected. Despite how it seems, it's a very cozy place. The food was good, so I actually liked what I got. The home fries were really crispy but unseasoned. It could be even better! I'm glad we gave this place a chance, and I hope other people like this place too!

Had apps, drinks, and dinner here a few times while staying in Haile Plantation Village this month. Each experience was excellent. The waiters and waitresses are the most friendly and attentive to detail that we have encountered anywhere, and the food & drinks have been outstanding. Desserts are made on premises and are exceptional! Highly recommend.

I came here for a high tea. Unfortunately my reservation was not recorded and we had quite a rude surprise when we got there. The manager sat us anyway and had the chef make additional food. She was very apologetic and attentive after we were seated. The food was good, but not $25+ a person good. We won't be back for this high tea. There are other options in town that are more affordable. Also, if you are going to require reservations, make sure that you actually write them down.

Apple Maps struggled to provided proper directions to parking and it might be because the area is under construction so just give yourself time to find Loosey's especially if going for dinner. It sure is worth the effort though, especially if you get Matthew as your server. He is full of wit and great local knowledge. He charmed our table from our first encounter. Loosey's has to be a local favorite because the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. Matthew is a local treasure and made our experience there so memorable and fun. We all remarked that it must be so electric there when live music is on stage or it's a Gator game day. We started with the loaded potato skins. There were 5 large pieces that were covered with toppings and delivered pipping hot. I could easily order that as a meal next time I'm in town. Their house ranch dipping sauce that is drizzled on top was delicious. Several in our group ordered the Chic-fil Loosey's, which is a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, but I wasn't able to grab a photo as they were so eager to get started eating it. The portion of chicken breast was extremely large and the batter was perfectly crispy. Both diners exclaimed it was one of their all- time favorite chicken sandwiches they had ever eaten. Another diner took advantage of their wing special and exclaimed the Buffalo Garlic sauce was fantastic and she paired them with their ranch as well. She loved their added touch of the small paper basket topping the plate of wings for the bones. I had the Classic Beef Burger and it was cooked perfectly. There was a nice peppery flavor to the grill of the burger and the patty size was more than I expected. Especially for the price. I was so happy we found Loosey's. It was really good food. I encourage you to look past the construction mess and the "old wooden bar" stereotypes and trust me when o say, they take great pride on preparing high quality food.

Beautiful day so we sat outside in a lovely patio area. Great beer menu with draughts imported or domestic as well as a full bar. The menu was pretty much standard bar fare I had fish and chips and my wife had Mac and cheese. The fries on my plate were covered in salt. I tried to shake it off and wound up with a layer of salt on my plate. Most restaurant food is too salty for me as I cook at home low salt but this was crazy. I decided to try the Mac and cheese. It also had a cap of salt on it. I tried to dig to the bottom of the crock thinking that wouldn't be salty but I was wrong. The dish was prepared with salt throughout. Time to go and I did complain. The waitress said she hears that a lot and she offered to replace our meal to go but we didn't take her up on that offer. The fish was great! And we loved the vibe of the restaurant inside and out. I would go back again but knowing that I would order SALT FREE !!

There is a long bar, sitting area with fire place and an outside area as well. Chris Hart, the owner and brewer is doing something very right here. The beer selection is diverse. I think I counted 19 beers on tap, plus a host of guest taps including cider and wine. They do Belgians right here, but there were also sours, gose, pilsner, IPAs, porter, brown ale, and some European favorites like a winter warmer, hefeweizen and Marzen. The BEER: Wicked Child Belgian Strong Ale 14% ABV... sips like it is under 10%, smooth and delicious, just very slightly boozy. This is the strongest beer in Gainesville The Snow Gose 4 5% ABV... everything you would expect, sour and salty goodness Pucker Round fruited Gise 5.5% ABV... holy wow, a little tonic, and a lot of pucker. Good. Key lime and passion fruit Lord of Flashheart Belgian blonde 6.5% ABV... yes this is a grand blonde, well balanced and easy drinking Queenie Belgian amber 6% ABV... For me to leave a review this negative, the service truly had to be poor. Last night, we chose this place to celebrate my Irish heritage with a green beer and some light food. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating, which is a plus. However, when we arrived, there was a line of people waiting for a table, and it quickly turned chaotic. One woman tried to cut the line, and another wanted to argue over a small booth that her family wouldn't have even fit in. Eventually, we were seated. I understand that holidays can be busy, so we were trying to be patient. Our waiter came over, dropped off menus, said "I'll be right back," and disappeared. After 25 minutes of waiting at the table, I had to flag down another waitress. Meanwhile, at least three tables that were seated after us already had drinks and had placed their food orders. I understand being busy, but at the very least, we should have been greeted or offered drinks. The waitress we flagged down said she would help us, which seemed promising at first, but then we waited another 20 minutes just for drinks. I'm not sure if it was an understaffing issue or something else, but the service was extremely poor. We considered leaving a one-star review, but the waitress did seem like she was trying. The food was okay, we ordered light items, and it still took quite a while to arrive. Overall, we would recommend skipping this place. There are plenty of other options in town that will treat you better. We work hard, and when we go out, we expect at least standard service.
