I'll give it 5 stars because the place is really good and because of thr location. You'd never expect to find good Chinese food in a place such as Donnelly. Not putting thr town down, but just where it's situated you don't expect to find ethnic foods. It's a great place also if you need a break from driving or if your filling up your car with gas. I've driven through here and added a few gallons of gas so many times and didn't even know this place existed. Two of us split the Iron Deluxe Sizzler for lunch today and it was absolutely devine. I could rave for days about the scallops that were cooked to absolute perfection. The overall flavor of the dish complimented all of the ingredients beautifully. I highly recommend this price performer. The staff is always very nice and the service is courteous and professional. I ordered the small Won Ton soup for an appie. I wish the server had conveyed that this is made from scratch and you take a bit of time. Had I known, I would have eaten more of my husband's hot and sour soup while waiting! BUT .. OMG so worth the wait. The dumplings and the soup broth, yeah...worth the wait. The best Chinese food I have had in Idaho. The white chicken had a wonderful flavor and a nice assortment of vegetables.

Oh man. I love a good Chinese restaurant, and this place did not disappoint. I actually didn't have a whole lot of expectation for quality given the mountainous and somewhat isolated location, so it definitely exceeded that. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and hope they are hugely successful so I can keep eating here when visiting with my family. Went with a family of 5, service was quick/friendly and the food was hot. My favorite was the broccoli beef, which I order at every Chinese restaurant, but this may have been the best I've ever had. The vegetables were crisp, with a good ratio of veggies to beef (tender beef plus crisp veggies, yes!), great sauce and small bits of char. Obviously I was a fan. We also ordered the generals chicken, which was not spicy but had really good flavor as well and my whole family enjoyed it (including the kiddos who "general"ly don't tolerate spice). Then the mandarin chicken, sauce on the side, sauce was brown and thinner than the typical sweet and sour, we all liked this one as well. The chicken chow mein we ordered was good, well cooked, but would have liked more veggies (my kids liked it without the excess veggies, but if I ordered again I would probably try the vegetable chow mein instead). It's a good thing this place isn't closer to our house because I would spend way too much time and money here. Also, the dinner entrees we ordered were $17 each, huge portions with egg rolls, soup, fried rice, and a mafa chicken piece with each order. Had a nice dinner during vacation. The service was good. Pretty no nonsense. Typical Chinese food. Really large portions on thee dinner meals. Came with soup and spring roll. I think the spring rolls were hand-made. Nice and flakey. Brought us sweet and sour and mustard side sauces. Full waters throughout. I had the Mongolian beef. Lots of beef and onions. If you're really, really hungry the portions are large, however it takes quite a while to get your food. We waited over 30 minutes to get our meal, but the food was so good I forgot about the wait once it was served. I haven't tried everything on the menu yet.
