    Hot Pot 1

For the area I will give this place three stars but compared to other similar places I've been in other places I found it more like a two star. So they do Hot Pot for lunch and then for dinner they offer Korean BBQ. They have a self serve buffet for the Hot Pot but I've never seen how they do the dinner service. My mother and my sister's kids seem to be big fans of this joint. To me it just isn't a good value as I'm not going to eat enough of the Hot Pot buffet to make it worth my while. I thought my experiences I've had other at Hot Pot places was a lot better but the whole Hot Pot thing ultimately doesn't really appeal to me and I would rather just have a nice bowl of Pho instead. I do like Korean BBQ but again that is something I only want very rarely and I maybe just occasionally eat that every several years while on average I'm happier with one bowl of Pho or some regular Chinese or Korean food without the all you can eat option.

Finally, a Korean hot pot and Korean barbecue Hattiesburg. I was impressed with the size and the interior design of the restaurant. It was clean, organized, great lighting, modern, and large. They had a good variety of hot food, Korean barbecue items, hot pot items. In a perfect world I wish it was Korean hot food items instead but surprisingly the items are better quality than the local Chinese buffet. I wasn't a huge fan of the kbbq but that's what you got for being in the area. I definitely enjoyed it and would come back!

FABULOUS RESTAURANT!! Great ambience. Clean, well laid out, comfortable atmosphere. I have a food allergy and was a little uncertain about going there because it's a Korean barbecue place and Abbi made absolutely certain that the managers and the chefs all knew that I had an allergy and I had no issues whatsoever. She also suggested one of the sauces that is there for the hot pot (I did only the hot pot, not the BBQ) and it was delicious. She was even nice enough to write down the general ingredients just not the measurements so I'm going to have to play with that because it was one of the best sauces I have ever had. My husband and our friend did the barbecue and they loved it. They did a variety of sauces including the one that Abbi suggested. Madison was our server and she was so friendly and attentive to us; she also made certain that I was aware that she was aware of my food allergy and made certain to find out what I could or couldn't eat (they have spring rolls and dumplings and other things too). All in all, it was a fabulous dining experience. The staff was amazing. The food was great and we will definitely be going back.

Buffet for Hot Pot and Korean BBQ. So many options.

Great Hot Pot. You get an individual hot pot instead of a shared one for the table. The choice of broths was good. You collect your ingredients buffet style from two exceptionally long tables with hundreds of options. Four main meats: Beef, Lamb, Pork and Chicken. Many seafood options and a great selection of vegetables and noodles. There is a sauce station for mixing your own dipping sauces with 24 options. The only criticism I have was the host was a bit curt and short with us. We arrived at 3pm and dinner service starts at 4pm. She told us we wouldn't be able to have our 2 hour experience because of the time we arrived. We would have to leave before dinner service. This wasn't a problem for us. She then kept interrupting me saying we couldn't be seated until our whole party arrived. (It was only 2 of us and we were there) I guess the stress of opening day the day before and a large number of customers not having been to a hot pot restaurant before and needing explanation was trying. We will definitely be back.

My family visited from Chicago last weekend, and we finally tried HaePot. We had a group of seven and, even though they don't take reservations, the staff seated us quickly and even set up two back-to-back tables for us. The place was clean, comfortable, and the music made us feel right at home. We ordered the Hot Pot + BBQ combo ($34.99). Everything was fresh, with plenty of veggies, and the bulgogi and short ribs were especially delicious. Our server, Karen, was fantastic--patient, friendly, and she showed me how to make sauces at the sauce bar, which was such a fun experience. Great food, great service, and very comfortable even on a hot day. I'll definitely be back!

There are absolutely no shortages of places to eat in Hattiesburg. Some visiting might lean towards safe places with menu items they feel secure and safe with, and there's nothing wrong with that. But, if that's you you're missing out on some amazing food. Today I took my wife for mother's day as they had some special items on their menu, while also keeping their regular menu available. We started with their standard dumpling appetizer. We get it everytime we eat there and they're delicious every time. The meals we picked were the the kimchi cabanara and the shrimp and grits. Both on their special mother's day menu. Both were absolutely delicious with fresh ingrediants, balanced seasonings and amazing flavors. I'm Italian and grew up eating traditional family Sunday dinners but this bowl of pasta was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is very modern with a combination of traditional asian features mixed with some modern MTV inspired artwork. If you're into craft cocktails they got you covered as well. The only miss we had to day was our server never came back to take our dessert order, when we asked to order it he confused what we said for the bill and brought that instead. Not a deal breaker, we were actually too full for it anyway and we've had their desserts before. They always inventive and delicious. At the end of the day, one small service hiccup wasn't enough to overshadow what was an outstanding meal and experience. In a city packed with chain restaurants and predictable menus, places like this are what make Hattiesburg's food scene worth exploring. If you're willing to step outside your comfort zone a little, you'll be rewarded with creative dishes, quality ingredients, and flavors you'll still be thinking about on the drive home. We'll absolutely be back.

I ordered the Spicy Chicken Katsu Ramen, and unfortunately the "spicy" part must have taken the day off. The chicken katsu itself had less flavor than most fast-food chicken patties, which is a tough comparison to lose when you're floating in a $20 bowl of ramen. The broth seemed to rely almost entirely on the chili oil for personality, but instead of bringing heat, it mostly just gave the broth a slightly odd flavor. Not spicy, not rich--just kind of...there. Oddly enough, the noodles ended up being the most flavorful thing in the bowl (aside from the egg), which is not exactly the headline you want for ramen. Now the bright spot: my server, Eden. Absolute 5-star service. Friendly, attentive, and the kind of server that makes you feel welcome even when your meal is slowly disappointing you. If this review were based on service and ambiance alone, I would be handing out 5 stars. Honestly, I've had instant ramen packets that cost about $0.25 deliver more flavor. The only reason I finished most of bowl was because once you paid $20 for plain noodles, and gave up your only time to get food, there's a certain stubborn determination to see it through.

I remember being so excited because they carried Cass. That excitement was abruptly dashed when the bill came, I didn't even get to have a false sense of security from a little buzz since I only had one to compliment my meal should've planned for two to compliment that bill!!!! The point of my review is that I was originally under the belief the prices listed were regular prices. Turned out those were lunch prices. For the amount of food we got, regular prices are undeniably insane. She informed me AFTER that lunch is only Tuesday-Friday. We went on a Monday. It felt very deceitful to have lunch menus out, with lunch prices, and not tell someone that it's actually NOT lunch, those prices are inaccurate, nor give the correct pricing. I don't know about my toddler, she was just happy to be alive, there, no responsibilities, and unemployed atp; but I know I left there hungry. I texted and called my mother to gripe about it because I was expecting an affordable rare lunch out with my daughter and felt like I got robbed. Insult to injury they don't do any type of military discount, not even 5% Idk kinda crazy to be in this area and NOT do that; but whatever toots her horn. The quality of this food is not up to par with any Korean restaurant I have been to. It is disappointing, I just know over half of these raving reviews are from people who have never left Mississippi nor tried diverse foods/other authentic Korean eateries. This restaurant is severely lacking. Quality control, portion control, and the amount of time it takes to receive anything after ordering.... I should have known because we were the only patrons there until the middle end of our meal, and it was a little group of 3 retirement-aged folks. I don't know if the reviews are by people who just have money to blow through, zero financial literacy, or if I was upcharged for things compared to what everyone else was charged, but it is disappointing. Our bill was 80-100 dollars!!! My child is TWO the food was not nasty, but it was not 80-100$ good! It was alright at best. Furthermore, she chased me down for a secondary transaction just for the tip. I used tap to pay and wrote the tip like usual, BUT allegedly they cannot receive a tip with that payment method; so she ran, genuinely RAN, after me to my car...absolutely tweaked. I just know those old heads thought I tried to skip out on my bill, it was genuinely embarrassing. I do not know why she thought that was appropriate at ALL. I have neverrr had an issue using tap2pay, adding my tip/paying the bill all in the same transaction. It's extremely disappointing! If this place wasn't astronomically unaffordable I would have considered going back; even with her chasing me like I was a criminal, but I cannot justify dropping that kind of money on a meal I didn't cook and no sort of love went into it. They're the only place I have been able to find the Cass Fresh lager :( it's so saddening. Take my review how you will, but I definitely will not be returning to this establishment. It is disrespectful to my wallet. And there is no way they don't know these practices are inappropriate and their price-to-portion ratio is out of whack. Fool me once.

The location was decently decorated and seemed to be clean and it wasn't too noisy for our table of four to eat and have conversation without competing with neighboring tables overall, a fantastic experience, price and value were definitely good. After looking over the menu, I was impressed with the selection of meat and vegetables included in the buffet, more than similar Korean buffets I have been to. I also liked the number of available sauces to further season the food. Service was fast and efficient. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken and filled shortly afterward. Staff was really friendly and helpful when we had questions. Soon, our order of meats and veggies arrived and the cooking began. The containers tend to take a fair amount of space on the already small tables so keep that in mind if you order a wide variety of meats. We had to stack the containers as we cooked the meat but the server removed them pretty quickly. One really neat feature of the tables I enjoyed was a plate warmer at each seat location, at least in the booths. That helped keep the cooked meat warm while waiting for the other cooking food to complete. Very nice touch. I will definitely return the next time. I'm in town.

It includes cooked starters such as rice, noodles, spicy chicken, spring rolls, wontons, gyoza, etc.. and many protein and veggie options to cook yourself. The beef bulgogi and flank steak were awesome! Shrimp was nice and fresh. The meat is already marinated, but there is also a spice and sauce bar in case you want to take it up a notch. I put a mixture of green onion, minced garlic and cilantro on the beef **chef's kiss**. Note: Other than the short rib, they give you a hefty portion of meat per selection. I suggest maybe ordering 1 or 2 meats per person and if you want more or to try something different later, request it at that time because there is a $13 per lb up-charge for wasting food. Price for the all-you-can-eat buffet is $30.99pp (at the moment). Yakiniku does have lunch specials, value packages for groups, bento boxes, and options if you don't want to cook yourself, but that is really part of the experience and it's super easy. Ambiance is family-friendly, good for groups. Overall, I loved it! A few things that I think would provide a better experience: - If the servers clean or switch out the grill like at other KBBQ spots once it gets dry or too charred. You could probably just request this though. - Different tongues or handlers for each meat instead of one since you're dealing with raw meat (and maybe some sanitizing wipes at the table).
