Don't let the look of the establishment discourage you from giving it a try. When we walked in the restaurant was empty, and the decor is nondescript. Still we ordered the cashew chicken and the general tso chicken. After placing the order we noticed many people coming in only to pick up orders (hence the place being empty although they have great food). The dishes a prepared fresh, the vegetables are cooked but just the right amount of time. None of the veggies look overcooked as they do in places where the food has been cooked in large batches and reheated through out the day. We had two orders of the wontons, a sesame chicken, and a Mongolian beef dinner. The chicken sauce was sweet and thick, and so was the chicken breading. So, we ate just enough of it to feel okay about leaving the rest. The wontons were prepared well, nice and crispy with a sweet, cheesy filling. My beef was okay. I thought there was a generous amount of meat, and the sauce was tasty. Seriously, this was the first Chinese food we've had in a couple of years because in the end it's not too healthy. Drove in 30min from Brandon on the recommendation of many in a Flowood Facebook group. We ordered orange chicken (I didn't like this version) Mongolian beef (yum is all I can say the only downside is it's about 70% onion 30% beef) king pao chicken, fried dumplings, spring rolls, combination fried rice, house special lo mein (all 3 meats) the total was $70 so not terrible for a family of 5 with plenty of food leftover. This is the absolute best hot & sour soup I've ever had. It's filled with mushrooms and other goodies. If you go, you need to try it. My wife raves about the cream cheese won tons. Honestly I've had Chinese food from here to Minnesota. I love the way Minnesota cook the food because they cook it authentically. This was the worst Chinese food I had in a long time. The rice was flavorless and dry. I got general tso's chicken It literally had no sauce on it and the batter was so soggy. It just looks like they had fried it a little and then put the a little sauce on it. This is coming from somebody that's well seasoned with cooking and in Chinese food because when you ask them is it's authentic they look at you. They don't make real Chinese in the South Georgia anywhere in the South. They make food sweet so that black people can eat it. But if you really knew how the original flavor was, you would not be disappointed. This food was straight garbage and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. This is a honest opinion and then they went up. The best I've had here is chopsticks and they have a nasty attitude. The only thing actually was okay but their chicken wings but they were supposed to be sauced and garlic sauce. The sauce was literally on the side of the plate. They did not sauce the wings. We checked out Ty Bowls tonite. They have recently been bought by the same people that have Mr. Chen's in Jackson now. The menu is similar to what Chen's has. We got takeout - Taiwanese Seafood Pan Fried Noodle and the Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup. There were no other customers and so our order was made fresh right then, took maybe 10 minutes after we ordered at the front. They packaged the noodles separate so that they didn't get soggy before we got home. All in all, great takeout. We will be back! read more

Oh man, so good! I had the Flame Seared Pork Chitterling. It was delicious! I will return. Only been open for 2 weeks. It is order at the counter and 3 left not knowing that. I told them they need to order at the counter but they left saying it was too slow. Everything is served on paper plates or plastic bowls which was surprising. Maybe that will change in time. I tried this for the first time the other day, and it is some of the best food to be found in Clinton, and it was better than the old Dragon Palace that used to be on Hey. 80. It was all cooked perfectly, and it was rather large portions. I had enough sesame chicken and rice left over for lunch the next day. We were very disappointed with the food at TY Bowls. We ordered the Sizzling Beaf and Mongolian Chicken. Both dishes had a greasy film and taste. The meat in both dishes lacked texture as if it had been over tenderized. The beef dish was 10.95 and the chicken dish was similarly priced. The food was served on paper plates, our drinks came in Styrofoam cups, but the plastic forks were the worst. The forks and spoons are kept on the tables in open containers, not wrapped in plastic. I went to the counter to ask for a couple of forks that hadn't been out on the tables. Who knows if the forks have been sneezed on, handled, or even used by someone else. I have to admit it was the cute graphic that made me want to see a menu. GLAD I DID - Ty was most friendly and helpful encouraging me to stay and enjoy the noodle soup, at least the 1st time so i have them at their best. GLAD I DID - it was in temperature and texture. I ordered the spicy noodle beef bowl - it was nothing like other noodle bowls. A unique but nothing unusual in the flavor profile of the soup and the fried rice. The place is small with a tv, cute and quaint for dine in or great for take out. The rice puts any Chinese TO GO spot to shame - I can't wait to return with more. Not your usual Chinese restaurant Ty Bowls is subtitled, Mr. Chen's Authentic Chinese Cooking. Never having been to China nor having great experience cooking Chinese cuisine, I can not say if the style is authentic, but I can say that there are dishes on the menu which I have never before seen. These include Kaki Fry Oyster, a delicious appetizer; Spiced Garlic Bacon Meat; and Eggplant with W/Pork Basil Pot, an excellent main dish. If I were cooking the Spiced Garlic Bacon Meat, I would brown the bacon more, otherwise it is very good. Our favorite dish so far is one that may be on other Chinese menus but the execution is unlike anything we have had at other Chinese restaurants. A simple sounding Basil Chicken is cooked in a delicious sauce in which the basil and the ginger are very distinct flavors. I should also mention the Curry Shredded Chicken. It is the only curry cooked in an actual curry sauce which I have ever eaten at a Chinese restaurant. I do not like it as well as Thai and Indian curries, but if you are a fan of curry, it is worth trying just to sample something very different. Even some of the standard Chinese dishes are prepared with a different twist. Our nine year old really likes Sesame Chicken and has ordered it twice at Ty Bowls. It is slightly different from and much superior to other renderings of this dish which we have tried. General Tso's Chicken was served with a thicker and somewhat different sauce than the versions we have eaten elsewhere. Overall, Ty Bowls is a fine an interesting dinning experience. It has enough traditional dishes to soothe the cautious and enough very different dishes to intrigue the adventurous. read more

My noodle bowl was horrible the broth killed it but I took my noodles out and asked for another bowl, soy sauce, and garlic to try to help my noodles. Yes, I literally remade my dish damn shame! Please don't piss yourself off Google a Pho shop instead if you're looking for noodles.
