Always good, fresh and hot. They have sushi that looks ok but I've never tried it. Great staff. Really good for what it is.

I am not sure how I have never found this place before now, but I can tell you that everyone else has. This place was packed! Parking was a nightmare. I cut off a cop and stole his parking spot. Yea! Stick it to the man, Adam! Giant community tables full of buffet goers. I wasn't sure if I could find a seat. I was impressed by the size at that point and then realized on the way out there was a whole second floor as well. It is freaking huge! When you pay, there is a little old lady that douses your hands with sprays of sanitizer. I did not care to partake, she did not care, and insisted. We aren't buddies. You can see the stank face she gave me. I don't care though, hater gonna hate. The buffet is rich with country foods. I was in love from the jump. Fast moving buffet food is my jam. They had all the things I like and tons of other things you folks like. I made two trips, I barely got most of the second down so I didn't get to enjoy dessert. That's ok, I like protein way better than sweet things. Thank you Allah for statin drugs! I had all the fried things! Fried chicken livers are some of my faves, especially if there is mashed potatoes and gravy involved. The fried chicken itself was great. Hell it was all good. I see why it's so damn busy. I think it was like $16 maybe. That's with a drink and endless food and dessert. My server was such a sweet lady and the bus staff were great too. They made sure you didn't want for anything and never had a dirty plate in front of you. I will be back as soon as possible. Planning a visit now! '26 - 102

This buffet is not for everyone. It serve specific type of people. I hate to give it one star but…read morethe food is not good. Service is nice tho, waiter refill my drinks constantly. 1. everything is too salty and greasy 2. the only good thing is fried chicken but it is not marinated and everyone tackle that quick 3. vegetables are straight from the can 4. they serve mystery fish as Catfish. It is not Catfish, it is not some cheap Asian Swai fish either, maybe 2 months old Tilapia. If you have an old Mississippi taste bud, like extreme portion of salt and sugar and greasy food, then you will like it here. If you have a normal taste bud then no.

Mississippi in general lacks diverse cuisine and you'd primarily find your local soul food or BBQ spot. I used to live in MS and before I wasn't vegan so I ate everything under the sun. Sad, tragedy, I know. I discovered this restaurant during the peak of my veganism. The fact that you can make any vegetarian dish vegan is rarity within itself, but at Taste of India they came through and made it happen! I ordered Daal Tadka mild spice level with naan. I was immediately told that the naan isn't vegan since it contains butter, but owner, Paramjit suggested an order of Tandoori Roti without butter. Both hit the spot and was extremely flavorful! I thought I was in Houston again eating this good delicious meal. In the past, I've tried the vegetable biryani. It's good too. My mum likes this place since I got her hooked on it. The samosas are freshly made too. Interiors of the restaurant is a bit sketchy and usually never has anyone dining in when I do a pickup order, but call ahead since the food is made to order. Friendly staff. Next door is an Indian market called a bazar. Huge parking lot.

Noodles were nothing special, and broth was okay with a little spice. Overall, just 'okay'. I've had much better for similar prices. What I did not like was when the check came. I was expecting a certain price, because I picked this place based on their online menu, which included the price of the ramen. I thought it was a fair price, so I decided to go there for dinner. Nowhere in the online menu did it say anything about an additional forced gratuity charge (photo included of receipt). I asked the server what this forced gratuity was and if she got this or if it went to the company, and she said it's new, and it goes to all the food staff. This left me very confused.... So, I'm tipping everyone at 15%? Does that mean all the other restaurant patrons are also tipping everyone 15%? Sounds to me like they are just forcing a 15% tip and dividing it equally among workers, which is fine, but then at the bottom it also had a 'suggested tip', implying that they wanted you to double tip the waiter/waitress. Or, is this just a 'worker fee' that they are handing off to the customer because the company doesn't pay their employees a livable wage? Either way, that's bullshit to me. Normally, I would have tipped more than the 15% on my meal, usually leaving $4 if the service was good, $5 if it was very good. I really don't do the % game, I just give them $4-5 for their time with me as a single customer. But, if I'm already being charged $2.10, and I wanted to leave the difference of $1.90, I felt like that now made it look like I'm being cheap, so instead I just walked out and left it at 15% that they forced upon me and decided to write this poor review. I do NOT like forced gratuities, service fees, etc. What ever you call it, I don't like it. I'm not the only one, either. As a restaurant, it's up to you to price your items appropriately up front so that YOU are able to pay your staff appropriately and NOT rely on deceptive hidden fees that only show up when the bill comes. I was very tempted to ask for the manager and ask for it to be taken off, but instead I just feel bad for the server and hope she either is making enough money from the 15% tip all, or finds a better paying job. Instead, this wastes my time thinking about it, wastes the waiter's time trying to explain it, and makes the patrons feel bad about tipping. Shame on you Ichiban! I don't expect to come back unless they reply to this telling me they stopped this deceptive practice.

The energy in the room said, "We closed in our hearts 30 minutes ago." The sushi bar looked like it had survived a mild apocalypse. A few lonely rolls sat scattered on nearly empty trays, clinging to life under the dim heat lamps. It was like a museum exhibit called "Sushi: The Final Hours." The cooked food was mostly lukewarm, like it had been gently whispered warm three hours earlier. As we made our way through the buffet, I could feel the staff's collective telepathic chant: "Please... just leave." They weren't rude--just aggressively done with the day. If hustle were food temperature, everything would've been sizzling. But hey, I'll give credit where it's due: it was cheap, and the ice cream was cold and surprisingly good. In fact, the ice cream single-handedly earned the second star. Without it, this would've been a one-star review and a tragic sushi eulogy. If you're looking for a late-night buffet adventure, Ichiban delivers an experience that will make you question your life choices--but at least you'll save money doing it. I really think that I put more energy into writing this review then the staff put into taking care of the diners in their restaurant
