I haven't been to this Golden Corral in years and I was so disappointed. Almost all of the food was out on the buffet, no pizza for my son, no French fries, all of the fish or shrimp options were empty. I figured we could at least get my son ice cream but the machine was frozen up! The employees response when a person in front of me asked him about it was "Kroger doesn't close until 7 and Walmart is open until 11". The dessert selection was scarce as well. Great service here. They've updated the decor and the stinky carpet is gone but there motto should be we are proud to open cans and boxes for you. The cooks bring out entire cases of Mac and cheese and open out in your face to pour in the pans. Nothing is actually scratch but the meat. They're very slow at replenishing the empty containers. You will see the cooks walking the establishment on their phones and return to the station to serve with no gloves. read more

My family and I just spent $168 at your restaurant in Jackson MS and for the most part enjoyed the experience. The food was good and we tipped the waitress $40 however your manager was rude and is the reason we will not spend our money at your establishment anymore. My family was getting some slushees from the slushy machine and he started taking cups away from us, stating the large was an extra $3+ more even though this was not posted. My daughter went to get some and he took the cup out of her hands and didn't even ask if she was willing to pay. This man was very unprofessional. Went and it was packed! They were taking cash only in the line I was in! Then we had to wait to be seated. The table we were seated at was soaking wet from being wiped off. We had to use napkins to finish drying the table off. There were no plates to fix our food and we had to wait for them. There were no bowls for sale. There was no lettuce for salad. The guy at the steak said there's only medium rare and he didn't seem interested in making other temperatures. My dad got a piece of the steak he had and it was nothing but gristle! Horrible! Went back later and there was still no rare steak! There were no rolls! There was no chicken out. There were people everywhere! This is one nasty Golden Corral that needs to learn how to cook. Just because of this corral, I got sick and vomited in the ladies restroom. None of the lazy staff would help me clean up the mess. I eat them nasty red beets that has ruined my chance at sampling anymore corrals. The floors are filthy and when you first walk in you can smell old moldy scent that makes you wanna gag more. The whole line around the buffet is always packed with the nasty kids picking their noses, coughing without covering their mouths, and people sneezing left and right. Gross! They need to make it where children pay because if not they just gonna be wasting food all over the floor making the establishment look like a trainwreck. Also, kids everywhere running and not looking both ways, they almost had me contribute to the nasty restaurant. This is the land where staff are just being paid to walk around and stare at you. I have eaten at several really bad Golden Corral restaurants and as far as this chain is concerned, this is a really good one. You certainly won't be wow'd by anything they serve here on their extensive buffet, but they do serve good, solid food and you won't leave hungry. They do a really good job here keeping the food items replenished and keeping everything clean and tidy. The only things the servers do is clear empty plates from your table and bring you driink refills. No, they no longer bring hot rolls to your table, you'll have to get them yourself from the buffet. With that being said, the service can be hit or miss. This is not somewhere I would come for dinner; the price of the buffet increases drastically from lunch to dinner. In my humble opinion it's just not worth it. There are, by far, better choices for dinner (or "supper", as they say in the South). I do really enjoy the breakfast buffet on the weekends. They have just about any breakfast item you could want. Again, nothing that will wow you, but a hearty breakfast, nonetheless. The new "chocolate wonderfall" is overrated, if you ask me. Surprisely enough, the strawberries they offer to be dunked into the flowing chocolate are really large and fresh, even when they aren't in season. read more

This has been the worse service ever. We mentor 18 young girls & we brought them to have dinner. I spoke with the manager Mr Simmons about maybe giving the young ladies a free soda. Make a long story short he was so nonchalant & turned away from me & left me talking to myself obviously. After that we paid for everyone & had a seat. As the young ladies were fixing their food they dropped something on the floor. One of the ladies making the drinks said they dropping "shit" on the floor. I said what???? I didn't tell the manager because when you have poor management you will have poor customer service. I will never eat at this establishment again. It is a little overpriced only because of the atmosphere. The food is great. If you are going for the chocolate waterfall--DONT! That thing has got to be swimming in bacteria. No one watches it or the kids who stick their hands and arms in it constantly. It is disgusting. Honestly, the children running wild are my only complaint with this place.
