Just got finished eating chicken with garlic sauce and it was delicious! Wontons were the BEST I've ever eaten. I ordered on my way and when I got there it was ready, fresh, hot. Great Food, AND on my way home!! Gotta love it read more

WARNING: this place is bad. I ordered the General Tso Chicken combination plate, and the chicken had little-to-no sauce, was overcooked, and was VERY DRY. It was as if they took some tiny chicken nuggets then deep fried them four times and then tossed them with 1/8 teaspoon of sweet&sour sauce and called it a day. The nuggets were so dry I had to make some sauce myself out of some leftover honey-BBQ sauce at home. And the worst thing is, since Asian Express mainly styles itself as a 'take-out' business, you won't find out how awful your food is until after you get it home (usually miles away!) I love Gen Tsao's Chicken and have had the dish dozens of times at many different restaurants -- and this may have been the worst ever. The shrimp-fried rice was bland as well. It was like their kitchen has no spices! Lastly, the egg roll was crispy but -- you guessed it --also bland. If you expect some FLAVOR in your Chinese food you should never, ever eat here...you will regret it! A waste of money. In fact, even though its local competitor, Best Wok, was bad the last time I visited, it was still slightly better than Asian Express. (Best Wok *used* to be very good, by the way). I wonder what's happening to these places? Do you have to cook at home for a good meal these days? Oh, well...take my advice and avoid this place. Good luck! read more

Service was rude from the time I walked in she was catching an attitude and blowing her breath at me and that was my first time there and I will not be going back again honestly I hate I still bought the food after her attitude but I wanted to try it since the review where good but never again shrimp fried was has barely any flavor very few shrimp and the pepper steak is water down no flavor as well but the amount of food they have you'll think it's nice I would consider going somewhere else for 25 dollars for only two to go plates rice and one side read more

First time there, was really exited to try it especially for having 4star reviews. But I was really disappointed. I had the shrimp fried rice with chicken and vegetables, it was disgusting. Chicken and shrimp had no flavor and chicken wasn't cooked all the way!! Broccoli had an old sour flavor to it. It was bad. Other than that the lady at the front was nice but it's not worth it. read more

Asian Express - Food was gross!! - Chinese Near Me - Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Don't order food from the website . Prices and options are incorrect, if you call they will not do anything about it.

The food was good; the wontons were not too sweet, more on the savory side and the service was spot on. I used the drive through and my food was right there waiting and still hot. I have never been inside but I am told it has a cozy ambiance read more

Customer service was not equally given.. The order taker was rude and Very bossy..she would never allow me to tell her what I wanted and (what I was paying for). She had taken over my order.. read more

We have recently moved close to this place, and I'm so upset we've never tried it before moving over here. We have ordered To-Go multiple times. Every time, the food has been so fresh. Everything that is fried is so hot and crispy. The service is really good as well, and our order is always ready pretty quickly. 10/10 definitely recommend! read more

Food was great and restaurant was clean and they were friendly and helpful. Will be going back. Oh, they also have a drive through too

This is our go to for Chinese takeout. Food is good and consistent. Service is fast. Food is always ready when I arrive to pick up.

Great food, prepared when you order. Choice of fried rice with combos. Drive thru window makes pickup convenient. Chicken with black bean sauce is my favorite! Good wonton soup too. read more

I like to stop here whenever I'm in the area. I almost always order chow mae fun and ask them to make it mild - not hot. No matter what kind I get, it's always delicious. I live alone and one dinner serving lasts me for two evenings and a lunch ! So much food packed tightly in that container! I have had friends over and ordered other dishes. Everything is always cooked fresh and servings are very generous. read more

Always happy with take out here. Super clean. Food is always fresh. Lunch menu prices are ridiculous for the amount of food. We get take out in NYC all the time, & I prefer Asian Express read more

The food is always fantastic and ready quickly. Easily the best Chinese food in Hattiesburg. The staff is also really friendly. I highly recommend the pork fried rice, chicken on a stick, and cashew chicken. We probably eat here 2-3 times per month. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Went to order some fried wings and my order was $6 for 4 wings. I would have gladly paid it but the cashier was rude asf and while I'm attempting to order the phone rang and she answered. She totally disregarded the fact I was at the window and didn't ask me to hold on or anything. For the prices and service I'll pass. read more

service was amazing, but there was a bug in the food which was less than welcoming. everything else was spot on but being a restaurant the food should be top priority as that is the main purpose for the business. read more

We ordered online and when my wife went to pick up the order we needed to put in another order for a friend who was picking up our daughter we were told "No, you have enough food!" No more order!", First and last time we go here.. Make sure you have your order right or you will be out of luck.. PS..we ordered 4 dishes. Thats it. read more

I placed an in-person order at their window. I was asked to pull to the front and wait on my order and that someone would bring it out to me. I waited for over 20mins for my order. Finally, I got out of my car in the pouring rain and went inside to check on my order. I found 3 young men/boys laughing and talking. I asked about my order. It was literally sitting on the counter getting cold. I asked why wasn't it brought out to me like they said. The boy responded "oh, we forgot." There was no apology or anything. I took my food (I had already paid) and as I walked out I heard the boys laughing. Such a rude experience. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. And yes, my food was lukewarm. read more

10000/10 the best food there is. It's gotten to the point where I won't eat from any other Asian resturants unless someone drags me there. I've always gotten the same food there because it can't be done anywhere else. The workers there could literally beat me up and I'd still come crawling back. I literally thank God that that place exists. read more

I have gotten takeout from here more times than I can count, and I can say that with time they've improved immensely. They've gone from a "just okay" Chinese restaurant to serving the only Chinese food I will eat in Hattiesburg. Everything is cooked fresh to order, and portions are extremely generous. They don't scrimp on ingredients, either. If you order Moo Goo Gai Pan, they aren't going to serve you a box filled with cabbage. They really do a good job fairly balancing out the portions of chicken, and you're going to get plenty of snow peas and water chestnuts. They're also very fast! I've never had to wait more than ten minutes for an order to be ready, and I generally place large orders to feed many people. You can tell when you eat their fried items that they change their oil regularly. I've never tasted old oil, and never burped up that bad oil flavor later. They really do appear to take care to keep everything clean. I have never had a bad experience here! Don't let the usually empty parking lot fool you. When I go in to place an order and sit to wait, there is constant traffic from people either walking in to pick up their orders or people are using the drive through. Another thing I like about this restaurant is you can see their kitchen. They quite literally cook everything to order, even the egg rolls. There appears to be zero batch cooking going on here. I've read through some of the other reviews where people think the food is too expensive. I do not understand this complaint at all. Compared to what? Somebody ladling batch-cooked food into a stylophone go container? I can see how some people might think an order of fried rice is expensive if they've never ordered it, but I have ordered their chicken fried rice. It's like, a bucket of food. They serve you two pounds of cooked to order chicken fried rice, with generous amounts of chicken in it. It isn't batch-cooked fried rice with specks of pink mystery meat in it. It comes in one of those large plastic pint containers, with the lid bulging it's so tightly packed. An average person can easily have three/four meals off of this. read more

Great inexpensive Asian cuisine really fast! Huge portions and big shrimp. It's definitely worth a visit!

I have no idea what other commenters are taking about. I've been to this place twice and neither time did i have a bad experience. I think this place is better than my favorite Chinese place up in stl. The food you can tell was made to order. I had egg drop and wonton soup egg rolls and the house soup and cheese wonton. Everything was amazing. I also ordered mine to go thru the drive thru. Although it's not convenient to get to due to the traffic around it, I'd say it's definitely worth the hassle. Give it a try before you put all your blind faith in something someone on the internet said. I really am rooting for this business to stay afloat. Hate to see that there are already haters. Anyways try it before dismissing it. It's yum and in my opinion way better than the Buffett's around here. :) read more

Went for lunch special today- ordered my usual general taps chicken and shrimp lo mein. Oil had a horrible taste and made everything repeat on me. Watery egg drop soup. Egg rolls were mostly cabbage. Have had better in town at China express and best wok read more

Started out great, but food quality has really suffered. Tonite, I thought I would try something different and ordered coconut shrimp. The shrimp were breaded with something gooey and they were swimming in liquid sugar. They looked and tasted like glazed donuts! Oh, and no hint of coconut. And I hate that their online menu doesn't tell you what's in any of the dishes, even tho I suggested that to them. read more

Very clean restaurant with friendly staff. I ordered the chicken fried rice and an order of egg rolls. They charged me 75 cents to add egg to my fried rice...and the prices are a little pricier than other Chinese restaurants in town. $7.41 for a small chicken fried rice and an order of egg rolls. I usually don't stray from Best Wok but I took a chance. The food was cooked to order and the taste was okay. read more

Food was fresh and made to order. I tried the egg rolls and fried rice. Egg rolls were very good. I will be trying something else next time.
