Temporary promo special for $10 chicken wrap with fries and soda. August 2026
Vi T.

Stopped in for a weekday lunch and they currently are running a promo special for $10 chicken wrap with fries and soda. The wrap was smaller than I expected but still good for a quick lunch on the go. Good price for what you get.

Super clean restaurant. 2 people really cleaning the restaurant. Easy ordering using touch screen. They offer unusual food in addition to the burger and fries like tempura fried green beans. We had the Baja fried fish which was super crisp and you can customize your fried fish with extra lettuce, grilled onions, Well run place. Will be back to try different foods.

We always loved the Habit in Walnut Creek. The one in Alameda is a meh Our normal orders of double char with cheese and Santa Barbara burger with onion rings and fries can works as a quick fast meal. Sometimes it's really good and other times it's meh. French fries are not always freshest . Onion rings fair well. If they have half stars I'd give them that. 3.5 ****overall

We got the char box which comes with 4 burgers and 4 sides . We ordered at the kiosk and the food came out in under 10 minutes. Sides were hot and fresh. Highlights are definitely the tempura green beans, such a unique side but done really well. The onions rings are also not bad. Fries were ok, didn't stand out. I think this is a solid deal for 4 people. The burgers are big and will definitely feed a family of 4. There is ample seating inside.

First time here at this location Parking is easy to find there is private parking and street parking I walked in and I did my order at the kiosk Kiosk is super easy to use I waited for my order ..... and waited ... and then I asked if my order was ready cus it was 10 min past the estimated time and my order still wasn't ready Anyway I got my order..... ranch is not readily accessible so you have to ask for it ..... Food was good Venue is clean There is indoor and outdoor seating My order just took hella extra and it wasn't even busy The end

The teriyaki char had crushed pineapple which made it juicy. The half fries and onion rings were really fresh and good just a little bit of onion rings. You get a sauce with the side and mine was BBQ. I tried both drinks with the lime. The strawberry and the dragon fruit. The strawberry was a little bitter due to the lime and the dragon fruit was a bit more sweet/tangy. Next time I'll try their teas. I enjoy the chili pepper bar, always hit. Did a pick up so my order was ready. Went during opening times so the place was spacious. Overall good.

Got one of those random coupons in the mail for The Habit - free double char burger with any $4 purchase. Had to see what the hype was about. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this Alameda location, but that first visit totally changed my mind. The double char burger actually lived up to its name with real smoky flavor that you just don't get at most fast-casual spots. The beef was meaty and substantial, though they could've melted the cheese better. Buns were perfectly soft and squishy. Paired it with tempura green beans and those were seriously delicious, especially with ranch. Way better than regular fries. Comparing it to In-N-Out since everyone asks - they're pretty different. In-N-Out has slightly higher quality overall, but The Habit wins on flavor because of that smokiness and char. It's got more personality. Second visit was more mixed. Used another coupon for the chicken club sandwich, which was tasty enough. Nice toasted bread, decent chicken breast, but the avocado was gray and oxidized - kind of gross. The bacon wasn't amazing quality but still good. Also tried their tempura avocado wedges out of curiosity. Cool concept, but way too much fat. Like, frying fat and dipping it in ranch? My stomach wasn't having it after a few bites. The place gets pretty busy but moves fast. They've got kiosks if you want to skip the line, plus a nice self-serve bar with pickled jalapeños and pepperoncinis to cut through all that richness. Good seating inside and out on the patio. Would I go back? Definitely for that double char burger and green beans combo. Skip the tempura avocado unless you really want to test your digestive limits.

I absolutely love Habit Burger! It's one of my favorite burger chains! The staff at this store are always so kind. The dining area and bathrooms are pretty clean. The burgers are made fresh. The fries and tempura green beans are perfectly crispy! They have a variety of delicious dipping sauces! Not to mention, their milkshakes are bomb! Ever since the $6 meal came out, I've been getting that. It's 1/2 bbq chicken sandwich with a choice of fries, green beans or salad along with a drink! It's a great deal!

Hey man. This is a fast food joint! Do I expect five star quality?! Nope. But for what it is - it's pretty good! Download the app and you have coupons and preorder options! This location is also really clean! Honestly - like any fast food - there are hits and misses and I've had some ridiculously salty items from this location here and there. But it hasn't stopped me from coming back time and time again. I also love to come here when In-N-Out had some nasty long line. Yah - it costs more but there's also way more options! Service is fast food service - what more do people want? LOL anywhoooo! Just here to give a shoutout to Habit for giving me a $10 coupon and making my dinner tonight!

Cheeseburger... where's the beef?

Where's the beef? Poor quality, delivered cold, and totally disappointing! Poor value for the $$$ charged. Green beans were greasy. French fries were not hot and crisp. Not a good value.

Good Morning I order my salad on the kiosk. Kick and easy. I went and got ice and water for the day. Before I knew it he was calling me my fresh salad had been made. Very war customer service. He was funny joking with his employees. The energy was amazing. Thank you habit for making my delicious salad.

the fab Double Charburger with cheese.
Robbie R.

I was here in Alameda, looking around near the "tube" that you drive under the water and go to and from Oakland, and I saw that there's a Habit burger right near here. It's located in a newish shopping center right next to a Panda Express. I do love me a Double Charburger with cheese and add those free grilled onions! I ordered and my order was up quick. I specifically asked that the cheese be melted, cause I've had problems with getting cold cheese slices before. The burger came out and the cheese was melted! The rest of the burger was assembled nice and the grill onions were added as asked. Here's a tip on eating one of these fab burgers. To get more of the grilled charburger taste, just eat the burger with the meat side down on the bottom as you stick that burger in your mouth! Yeah, eat it flipped upside down. That way the meat will hit your tongue first and that wonderful char burger flaver will fill you mouth better. Try it both ways, you'll taste the difference!

Don't judge me! I recently discovered you can add jalapeños to the rolls, which takes them to another level! Just a heads-up, you have to call in your order for that since it's not an option when ordering online. Now let's talk about that peanut sauce. It might not look the most appetizing at first as it looks gloopy and separated, BUT TRUST ME. Add a little Sriracha, mix it up, and dunk those spring rolls in there. SO GOOD! I have yet to venture beyond my beloved rolls, but my colleagues rave about their bánh mì sandwiches. Apparently, the bread is super soft and fresh (which is a BIG deal), and the portions are huge! I'm dying to try a vermicelli bowl next, but I haven't seen an option with grilled shrimp. I'll definitely have to ask because that sounds heavenly. Yes, it's a little pricey and they can get real busy during the lunch rush, but everything tastes incredibly fresh and is SO worth it. Anyway, if you see me ordering shrimp & avocado rolls for the third time in a week, mind ya bidness.

Came for a dinner pickup to-go on a weekday evening. Things I love: - HUGE portions: all other considerations aside, I'd always default to splitting a meal or counting on leftovers. Their salads and sandwiches both are served in generous portions, which helps justify the cost, which itself is not that unreasonable to begin with. - Seating: nice areas inside, as well as an outdoor space that's shared with the neighboring bar. During the daytime when the bar is not open, the back space is a great area to spread out in, and even work in with a small group. - Staff: I read a few negative reviews about the staff here, but I have had nothing but positive experiences, especially given the high customizability of the meals here, they do a great job accommodating requests and making sure you have the meal that you're expecting. - Breakfast burritos: gotta shoutout my favorite breakfast burritos. I actually haphazardly stumbled upon this place a few months back after hanging out at a brewery…read morenext door. After scoping out the vibes of the place and the menu, I told myself to make sure to give this a shot. The place is in a redeveloped corner of Alameda right next to the bay. Probably used to be Navy base grounds back in the day. But now there's a couple of blocks worth of hip warehouse-y type of buildings, mostly restaurants, beer spots, some lofts and a little retail commerce. Very happening even though the surrounding area is a ghost town. Dining area not too big, maybe a couple of rooms that can hold about 20-30 heads each. Think there's another room for a private party/overflow. Decor pretty minimalist and stark. Service on the upscale side but in my stay, matched the decor, very minimalist and stark. Efficient enough but a little terse with little emotion. But I know service personality can differ from time to time or person to person. Just my obsy for one out. Daily Crudo ($20/4*) I think this rotates daily. Our choices that day was hamachi or a house smoked sturgeon. The sturgeon really piqued my interest but then it really wouldn't be a 'crudo' anymore would it, since I relate crudos to something 'raw-ish'. So I chose the hamachi. Very pretty plating, I love symmetry and balance. The thin slices of hamachi were indeed fresh, sitting in a stealthy pool of yuzu and olive oil. There are some fresno pepper slices and microgreens that garnish and a delicious nori cracker to break and accompany the crudo. This went really well with my glass of Fume Blanc. Caeser ($17/4.5*) We split this salad as their version sounded super cool. A miso-tinged Caeser dressing, lots of rustic garlic croutons and feathery soft grated parm and a soft-boiled egg. I love properly made Caesers and this was one of the best and unique versions I've ever had. The umami punch and the diverse textures just hit with me. A tad salty for a salad, but the crunchy and refreshing lettuce was able to absorb the salt blast. Huge salad too, like ideal for splitting and ridiculously large if for 1. Beef Short Rib ($43/4*) This was on special that night, and since I wasn't feeling Steak Frites (their only other beef entree option) this kinda fell on my lap. Very heavy and hearty dish. The short rib part was impeccable, super tender, gotta be sous vide. Perfectly seasoned with braising elements completely penetrated into the meat. There was a coarse gravy/sauce that covered which was okay, may have been the braising liquid just pureed. Served atop a huge pile of some risotto that I didn't inquire about. This risotto is what made the dish especially heavy. I ate most of it and it put me in a heavy carb coma. Lol. But there was a nice serving of perfectly cooked broccolini which helped balanced out the rich beef and carb heavy risotto. Chocolate Bar ($13/4.5*) Shared this for dessert as I really couldn't take more than just a few bites after the filling entree. But was this impressive, like high end dessert quality. Whoever does the desserts here definitely has some pedigree. The precision cut bar consisted of 3 layers. A brownie layer; a Bailey's mousse; and a salted caramel layer. I was loving the texture of all the different layers playing on one another. And every flavor was distinct without being overly sweet, which hit the right chords with me. A thick ganache garnished off to the side, which was good but just seemed a bit overkill with the already chocolate dominant bar. I think a cream element would have been a better contrast instead of rich chocolate on rich chocolate. But very minor quip on an otherwise skillful dessert. I finished the last few sips of my glass of Rhone with this dessert, and it left me one happy camper. I would definitely return as their style with flavors hits an accord with me. A little French, a smidge of Japanese and a lot of California. Rounding to a fiver, as this place made me more happy than not.

Everything was delicious and I'll definitely be back to try their breakfast pizza. The service was great and I was quickly helped. They have a lot of tables inside, and great outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend everyone check out Firebrand!

This review is specifically about the female cafe manager on duty Sunday morning November 1, 2026…read more And WOW. She was SO unnecessarily rude to my sweet little family. For context, we're regulars. We come nearly every week after our littlest's soccer practice for milk steamers and snacks. We also grab our breads and coffee for the week when we're down the street drinking other things at Almanac, and we regularly recommend Firebrand to friends and family. We genuinely LOVE the bread, pizza, sandwiches, coffee, and overall vibe. So here's what happened today. My husband (a nicer-than-necessary Southern gentleman) was flying solo with our two kids (ages 2 and 6) after soccer practice. On their way outside, our 2-year-old dropped his milk steamer because, well, he's 2. Womp, womp. My husband, being the considerate human he is, tracked down the manager to alert her to the spill and ask for help cleaning it up. She walked over, looked at the spill, looked at him, smacked her lips like this was the biggest inconvenience of her entire day, and said, "Whatever, I'll clean it up later." She then informed him he'd need to get back in line and pay for another one. Meanwhile, our toddler is absolutely beside himself, literally crying over spilled milk, and the manager is offering approximately zero grace or help. When my husband asked, "Really, there's nothing you can do to help me out here?" she cheerfully replied, "Yep! Those are the rules!" So my husband, hands full with two kids (one of whom is now having a full-blown meltdown), gets back in line. By the time they get back in line, it has snaked around. Thankfully, the sweet barista who had already helped them was happy to slide him through without charging the $2.25 for another KIDS MILK STEAMER. Problem solved, right? WRONG. As my husband is handing the replacement drink to our now-consoled toddler, the manager circles back for round two. She asks if he got what he needed, then turns to the barista and asks, "Did he pay for that?" The barista, clearly possessing the common sense and basic human decency missing from this interaction, responds, "C'mon. It's just kids' milk." But the manager doubles down: "It's the rules because it wasn't our fault he dropped it." WE ARE LITERALLY TALKING ABOUT SIX OUNCES OF MILK, PEOPLE. At this point, my husband says, "Okay, then come on! Come ring me up so I can go enjoy my Sunday with my kids." He is perfectly willing to pay his $2.25 and move on with his life. Instead, this woman proceeds to hold him at the register and LECTURE him because she apparently took personal offense to the barista comping a toddler's replacement milk. And the grand finale? She refuses to let him pay, telling him, "Because YOU made a big deal about it, so just don't worry about it." I honestly cannot make this up. What an embarrassing display of "customer service" and an even more embarrassing use of whatever authority she thinks she's wielding over SIX OUNCES OF MILK. Firebrand, we love your business and have happily supported it at various locations over the years. But someone needs to remind this particular manager that customer service is about more than enforcing rules. It's also about exercising a little judgment, showing some grace, and, perhaps most importantly, not making an already-upset two-year-old's day harder over spilled milk. Someone come get your lil' manager!

We were the only party in the restaurant. The menu is extremely interesting, with a focus on slow-roasted meats and a California-Japanese fusion to many elements of their dishes. Because we were a party of five, we were able to try a lot on the menu, with some recommendations from the owner: - Corn fritters: Recommended by the owner, who said they're a best-seller. They were delicious and served with strawberry jam. Moist but with a bit of crumble and crumb. I could've eaten the entire plate myself. - Rotisserie cauliflower: With miso butter and furikake. My husband really wanted to try this. It was good, and he really loved it, but it wasn't a standout dish for me. - Trip's triple: 1/4 chicken, pork shoulder, and tri-tip all on a plate with chimichurri and garlic-jalapeño garum on the side. All of the meat was cooked so well, and the sauces were just delicious. This was a really generous serving of meat; my husband had to take some of it home. - Tsukune sando: Two tsukune (chicken and pork) patties with shredded lettuce, fried shallots, Hapa sauce, and a fried egg. I'm not sure what the Hapa sauce was and didn't ask, but this sandwich was just delicious. The patties were great and this is the first time I've tried tsukune. This was a messy sandwich, so I ate it with a fork and knife, but it didn't impact how tasty it was. I can't remember the dishes my in-laws got, but everyone was really happy with their food and what they couldn't finish, they made sure to take home. However, there's always room for dessert, and we went wild and decided to try all four of them. - Butter mochi: coconut butter cake. This was a table favorite. Rich, moist, delicious, and very unique. - Banana pudding: I'm a fan of banana-based or flavored anything, and this was fantastic. Loved the caramelized banana on top. - Choco PB torte: Definitely the richest dessert of the four. This is perfect if you're a chocolate fan. - Apple crumble: Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Warm and spiced. So good. I honestly can't wait to go back to Spinning Bones. This was a fantastic meal from start to finish and our service was great.

Slow-roasted Rotisserie restaurant with a Japanese influence. They are most known for their meats…read morebut also have Japanese sandos and a large selection of appetizers on menu. We came after going to the Alameda Antique Faire, excited to try is after so long. Michelada: Lager beer, spicy tomato juice, togarashi, fresh limeMy wife ordered this and she said it was fantastic, a great savory Mexican beer cocktail. Shiso Highball: Shiso infused shochu, lemon, ginger beer. Nice and refreshing on a warm day. Corn Fritters: Sweet yellow corn, rice flour, strawberry jam. This was the finest corn-fritter I had since GA and LA. It was so good and highly recommended to order. Mochiko Chicken: fried chicken nuggets, ginger, soy, aioli. Well cooked as well but very close to kaarage and would not get it again. Three Little Pigs: Rotisserie pork shoulder, St. Louis ribs, garlic sausage, tossed greens, pickled jalapenos, BBQ sauce, garlic-jalapeno garum. A little bit of everything pork. The sides are well done as well as the meat, the only thing not so great was the Ribs but I smoke them at home and am used to a stronger taste on them and more tender. Pepper Beef: Tri-tip, chimichurri, umami salt, pickled cabbage slaw, scallions. My kids loved this and destroyed it.
