What a great way to treat yourself! Came the day after my birthday and I left with my scalp feeling squeaky clean. I set my reservation online based on what I thought I needed. When I came, they diagnosed my scalp by taking pictures and then recommended which treatment would be best for me which ended up being the Special Scalp Care Treatment. It was very relaxing (I was definitely hungover). I almost fell asleep while they were going to town on my scalp, it felt so nice! I do think the massage portion wasn't the greatest but otherwise it was a relaxed experience! Would definitely come back and even am considering being a member!

Quaint head spa in Burlingame. The staff here are a the best!! They are caring, makes sure your visit is satisfactory and works to stay on time. The massage was great and the best part is they use quality products like Olaplex!

Came here with my mom for her birthday and it was a very fun experience. This is a smaller studio so they can only accept 2 guests at a time, and each guest gets their own room. I really appreciated the privacy and then calmness of the environment. The studio was very clean and our scalp and hair felt cleaned and refresh after the session. They started off the visit with a back massage, which was a pleasant surprise, then the scalp treatment, and finally they blow dry your hair. They had a camera to show me my scalp before the treatment, however did not show me the after-treatment view. I wished I got to see if my scalp truly looked different afterwards. Additionally, I also preferred if they would tell me what they're doing each step of the way without me needing to ask. Aside from that, I had a wonderful experience!

I've been trying to make an appt at their San Jose location for months but they've become so popular they're booked months in advance or if you're lucky, you'll see an opening due to a cancellation. Of course, you best be at the ready as that appointment will get booked quick... After about 8 months of trying, H20 Head Care opens a 2nd location in Burlingame. This location seems a bit easier to book an appt online. My friend was able to find an opening for 2 for the same time (a month out) which makes for a great pamper day. I tend to hold most my tension in my face, head, neck, shoulders so I was really looking forward to a relaxing scalp treatment with massage. As another reviewer noted the description is a little misleading as it notes a massage with your treatment. It starts off with a very light, 5 min upper body massage and well...that was it! Hmm can't say it was beneficial as it was so quick...Next, was a wand scan of my scalp (shown on a monitor) showing I was oily with a recommendation of a double wash with a hair moisturizing mask. The treatment was very relaxing that I fell asleep while my therapist massaged my temples, lightly scrubbed my scalp and used their special rinsing contraption while you're zen-ing. Overall, a wonderful experience and would recommend the basic or intermediate treatment for your first visit. I can't say they customize based on your needs as my friend and I compared notes from our treatment and it seemed she got a double wash as well even after being told she had a dry scalp...not sure if they used different cleansers/shampoos...hmmm. Therapist were both very friendly and made sure you were comfortable and relaxed. At the end of your treatment they offer to dry your hair but opted to take over after she dried 1/2 way...my hair was noticeably softer and felt cleaner. A treatment I would indulge in once or twice a year. Olaplex products and brushes available to style your hair. Private parking lot shared with a liquor store. Smaller location to accommodate 2 guests in separate rooms.

Made an appointment for my mom and I to experience the beginner head care. I booked about two months in advance because this place is so popular! You can sometimes get lucky with last minute cancellations though. They have two treatment rooms, so while I was able to get my mom and I the same appointment time, we were in separate rooms. The outside is pretty unassuming and in a plaza, but the inside is neat and modern-looking. For my treatment I had CC: -started with a back massage (you will have to remove all your upper body clothing for the entire treatment) -she took pictures of my scalp and explained to me what she saw (I appreciated her saying that the beginner treatment was enough for my scalp needs! Felt nice that she wasn't pushing for me to spend more) -after pictures, she did a deep wash of my hair, used various tools on my scalp, scalp massage, did a neck/shoulder massage, steamed my hair -she showed me after pictures of my scalp -ended with her blow drying my hair and applying olaplex products! -she went 20min over the time even though I was 10min late! So patient and nice of her. They are offering 20% off right now since the Burlingame location is new, which made the beginner head spa ~$110 after I tipped. Definitely a "treat yourself" experience, but it was super relaxing and I recommend trying it especially while the deal lasts!

I recently visited this amazing head spa because my friend gifted me a certificate few months ago! I had the intermediate service but I upgraded to the special one with Chinese herbs since it was my very first time. Stella, who took care of me, was absolutely fantastic! She started with a back massage, then used the magnifying camera to show me the oil build up on my scalp.. I was soooo shocked!! After an hour of washing and massaging, my scalp looked clean and refreshed. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing and my head felt so much better. I've seen pathetic videos of these treatments from Asia on TikTok and I'm so glad we finally have them here now. We usually focus on regular body massages and facials but our heads need attention too! Thank you so much Stella! I'll def be back! :)

After the consultation, you move to the treatment beds where the real relaxation begins. For about 50 minutes they gently massage your scalp while applying different products. While the treatment works its magic, they also massage your neck and shoulders. It's incredibly calming. Next, you move to a chair for the blow dry, but they keep the relaxation going by offering a blanket and an eye cover. They also use red light therapy and other equipment on your scalp. At the end, they show you your scalp again so you can see the results of the treatment. I can honestly say it's one of the most relaxed I've ever felt. Definitely worth the price.

When I walked in, there were already 2 dudes there so I guess scalp rinses are for everyone. I've never had one before so this was new to me. First off, it's expensive so think of it more like a luxury. You're looking at $200+ for a 70 minute session including tip. They start off by examining your scalp with a high powered lens. The woman manager was funny because she couldn't upsell me in product because my scalp didn't have flakes so she said it was oily and that if I could go bald with oily hair. Say what?!? So no upsell for me LOL. My personal was Vicky and she was great. Great shoulder massage to start and then for the next hour it was washing hair with deep hair masks that smelled like eucalyptus and lavender. She gave me an eye mask that was heated and it felt like it was cooling my eyes so I asked her to switch it out for a cool eye mask which she did. So much better. Afterwards she dries my hair and another quick scalp and shoulder massage in the chair before she showed me my scalp under that microscope lens again. The funny part is my scalp looked exactly the same LOL. 4 stars for Vicky thought she worked hard, and it was one of the best shoulder massages I can recall.

A friend recommended Cosh so I decided to give it a try. When I made my appointment, I filled out a short questionnaire - length of hair, extensions/no extensions, etc. Also asked if I wanted a cooling or warming eye mask. I decided on a Rejuvenate treatment. When I arrived, Whitney greeted me. I was offered a beverage while waiting then was given a warm face towel to freshen up. Molly took me to her station to set me up. She took photos of my scalp. Whitney came over to explain what I was looking at. Based on those photos, she informed Molly which products would be best to use. Even though my scalp was in good condition, Whitney suggested an exfoliating/nourishing scalp solution. She asked about my pain tolerance as some clients felt it irritated their scalp. She told me that if anything bothered me, I should tell Molly immediately and she would make sure I was OK (e.g. if the scalp solution burned, tell Molly and she would immediately rinse it out). During the treatment, my scalp felt a bit irritated. If Molly was massaging that part of my scalp it was fine. There was a point where steam was used as part of the treatment. My throat wasn't happy but it was stopped. Afterwards, there wasn't an appreciable change since my scalp was already in good condition. It looked like it had been moisturized. My hair felt softer. I was relaxed and happy. Whitney suggested I massage my scalp the next few day to get the most out of the "red light" treatment. I've been doing that and my scalp feels looser. The entire experience was lovely. I left feeling pampered. I'll be back.

I came here for a hydrafacial and cleanse for my scalp in the evening. Booking online is swift and can be done with no issues! The front desk lady was incredibly sweet and we chit chatted about going to Japan together. She also recommended that I upgraded from cleanse to the detox package, which I enjoyed thoroughly. The woman giving me my scalp analysis spoke quite thoroughly on the state of my scalp and how I would continue forward to take care of it. I would recommend not washing your hair the day of or day before to get the most out of your analysis, she did mention it was a bit difficult to ascertain the state of it (but it was still clear from the photos up close). She mentioned that our scalp is similar to our face skin, I have combination for both (oily in the T zones and dry on the other portions/sides of my head). I still had a decent amount of sebaceous filaments after my hydrafacial, but I would come back here again for the scalp spa experience. It's very cozy and tucked on the outskirts of downtown Burlingame where there's plenty of residential parking and a parking structure. The workers are friendly and the interior has a calm ambiance that's very conducive to a relaxing experience.

I had brought up my concerns during the first 6 and 12 month appointments with Dr. Canales and was told the bumps are normal and will go away. I was giving a prescription of retinol which I used for a over about 2 months but the bumps never went away. When the sun/light hits my scalp, it looks similar to the hair on a Barbie doll, like I had hair plugs done with noticeable holes. After doing my research and taking to people, I found this is not normal at all and it's called FUE Cobblestones. I attempted to schedule another appointment to see Dr. Canales after a year and half of surgery to have him look at his work and address my concerns again but I was told I would have pay $200 to see him. I wasn't going to pay someone to tell me the bumps are normal. In the end, I am happy to have some hair back on my scalp but the bumps are noticeable which defeats the purpose. I can no longer shave my head because of how noticeable bumps are and how they pop out. I don't have anything negative to say about Dr. Canales, I think he's a great guy and his hair placements are on point. But somewhere along the surgery, someone or something was done incorrectly and no one wants to own up to it which is bad business in book. I didn't paid good money to have someone slam the door in my face. I am sure if the tables were turn and he was in my position, he would not be happy with the end results. I can't tell you where to have your hair transplant done at, but please do your homework before shelling out your hard earned money. Nothing is worst than having to pay for something that went wrong and ending up having to pay more money to have someone else to fix someone else's mistakes. Please see photos

The $3000 topper she sold me was shedding so profusely that there were hairs all over my entire house from this thing just shedding on its own everywhere. When I finally had it removed after 2 1/2 months Emily of course was out of town so her aid removed it and when she did so she removed most of my hair on top of my head. It was the most painful situation I've been through in a very long time. She was lying to me and telling me it was natural shedding that she was removing when in fact, I have no hair left on top of my head so now it is very difficult for me to go back to my clip in toppers because I have so little hair left. I have been working so hard for the last two years to get my hair to grow back and it was doing so much better. Emily promised me that the solution to remove the glue was easy Peezy and would come right off NOT damage my own hair. It was excruciating. I was the first client of the morning, so I looked in the garbage can and saw the piles of my hair in there so I know how much came out. Things for you to think about before you EVER agree to have anything glued to your head by Emily. The cost of this piece is really expensive as I've priced it out with other pieces so her prices are high. The quality of her pieces are subpar as they literally shed all the time. And the itching is unbearable. No matter how often you wash it. She told me I should just shave my head to make it easier? WTF? She also doesn't mention that you will need to come back every six weeks to have this taken off and reapplied and that's $450 a visit. She also doesn't give you full instructions on how to care for it, how to wash it properly. She will tell you in a hurry while she's doing 3 other things... oh by the way, go to YouTube look at my videos! I told her in person that wasn't adequate, she needed to have more information available on how to care for these. The removal is brutal! Her commercial grade glue does not come off easily and they literally just pull your hair out! My scalp was so damaged! And if you read the reviews and you go down to the hidden reviews, you will see other people saying the exact same thing that I am saying. And for a woman who's loves her Bible study, she might want to study the phrase... Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! also known as the Golden Rule.
