The location is right off of Burlingame Avenue, there is street, metered parking all around, or a parking lot right across the street. Keep in mind if you schedule your appointment on Sundays, parking is free! I received a gift certificate for a 1 hour Deep Tissue Massage. When it comes to gift certificates, you cannot book your service through their website, so I decided to go in person to make my appointment. The lady who helped me was super friendly and made me feel welcomed. It was highly recommended from the person who gifted me the gift certificate to either book with Wendy, due to her pressure of really getting in those tight areas, or May, who was also really great. It just so happened May was available for the time that worked for me. The spa is clean, May came to greet me right on time, she asked me if I had any area's I wanted her to focus on, and checked in on me multiple times throughout the massage to confirm her pressure was ok. I have been a loyal attendee for about 2-3 years now. I loved the freedom to book online and the ease to make sure to book the specific masseuse that I liked. However to my horror my favorite masseuse left. So I specifically called the receptionist, to recommend me someone specialized in Thai Massage. But that masseuse was not what I wanted at all (not going to fault the masseuse here, as she had her own style and ethic). But I wouldn't really call it the Traditional Thai Massage I wanted. So I think I will be trying other massage places now, that has a better probability in giving me the Thai Massage I want. Went here for a nice end of year massage. Got deep tissue. I was greeted and check in was very smooth. I got into my room, my masseuse was nice and asked me what specific areas I wanted to be worked on. The massage was good, I had to ask multiple times for more pressure. At other spas, they usually have me fill out a form that explains the areas worked on, pressure, and any other concerns. I think that's an area of improvement for this place. I have heard good things about this place, but usually go to full bells and whistle spas to make the experience of massage fully immersive. I had a prenatal massage scheduled today and unfortunately didn't know there was a street festival also happening at the same time so Burlingame Ave and some side streets were closed which made parking SO hard to find. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and checked in with the receptionist who was very friendly. She provided me with a form to fill out some personal information, area(s) you want your therapist to focus on, and the level of intensity from 1-5 (5 being the highest) that you prefer. I was greeted by my therapist, Minnie, who brought me up to a private room. The room was quite simple - a futon like mat, single light hanging from the ceiling, and two cloths hanging from the ceiling for the therapist to hold onto while stepping on your back. This was my first Thai massage, so I didn't know what to expect. Minnie explained that a Thai massage is a fully clothed session. She provided me with clothes to change into (a cotton t-shirt and Thai pants) and showed me how to wear the pants. I chose the intensity level 4, not sure if that was a good idea since I'm a newbie. The massage was interactive and quite intense. She kneaded my pulse points, elbowed, stepped on me, and stretched me out with different Yoga moves. Throughout the massage, Minnie asked if the pressure was okay. Of course there were times it hurt/felt uncomfortable, but I have a pretty high threshold for pain. During the session, Minnie told me I had tight spots, which is probably due to sitting in an office all day. Although it hurt, it hurt in a good way. I felt super relaxed and light afterward. At the end of the session, I was offered a cup of licorice and mint tea. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and the location is great! If you feel like shopping or eating after your massage, there are many places to choose from. Parking isn't really an issue as there are several parking lots, street parking, or residential parking. read more
