When it comes to gift certificates, you cannot book your service through their website, so I decided to go in person to make my appointment. The lady who helped me was super friendly and made me feel welcomed. It was highly recommended from the person who gifted me the gift certificate to either book with Wendy, due to her pressure of really getting in those tight areas, or May, who was also really great. It just so happened May was available for the time that worked for me. The spa is clean, May came to greet me right on time, she asked me if I had any area's I wanted her to focus on, and checked in on me multiple times throughout the massage to confirm her pressure was ok. I never felt so relaxed and so comfortable. I would definitely recommend booking with May for your next massage in Burlingame!

Wow, can't believe I hadn't written a review for Carrina yet; this is long overdue…read more I've been coming to Carrina off and on for more than 10 years (I didn't have a car for a while and was stuck in SF, and the massage therapists I found were just....ok, FWIW). Anyway, I eventually moved to the Peninsula, got a car, and went back to Carrina. She's amazing. One of my pet peeves is when massage therapists don't listen to what you actually need when you tell them and just do their normal routine. Carrina is refreshingly different because she actually listens to what you tell her when you explain what's happening and why you're there to see her, and she somehow magically finds and works out all the knots - even the ones I didn't know I had. Absolutely recommend Carrina and worth the monthly investment as part of self care!
