This was not too big of a deal, but just a minor inconvenience. Be sure to give yourself buffer time if you have plans afterwards. There are some street parking in front, but there's a lot in a back with ample space.

I've been to different massage places but this was the most unusual experience. Most of the time the massage was dry rubbing or constant rubbing me. It was also pulsating massage instead of a nice subtle pressure. I've done deep tissue and swedish at multiple places so I thought this was odd. Additionally, when they massaged my neck, I felt like they were pressing down on my carotid artery. Overall, I felt like the person doing my massage wasn't trained well or it was overall very odd. I disliked the constant repetitive rubbing over my shoulders. There was no compression and it just felt like they were just rubbing to make me feel like this was deep. There was no variation in technique at all. I was really disappointed by my experience.

I've been a member since they first opened, and every time I find a therapist I genuinely enjoy, they end up leaving. At first, I tried several therapists before finding one I liked. Then she left. So I started the process all over again and eventually found another therapist I enjoyed... and she left too. Most recently, I found my absolute favorite therapist. She was welcoming, friendly, warm, incredibly skilled, and consistently provided one of the best massage experiences I've had. After my last appointment, I went to rebook almost immediately, only to discover she had completely disappeared from the app. At this point, I can't help but wonder why there seems to be so much turnover. Maybe it's coincidence, but after losing multiple therapists over the years, it's become a noticeable pattern. As a customer, it makes me curious about what is causing so many talented therapists to move on. I understand that staff turnover happens, but after investing so much time finding therapists who are a good fit, it's disappointing to repeatedly start over. The service itself is excellent, but the lack of continuity makes it difficult to build the long-term experience that keeps members coming back. If Squeeze could improve therapist retention, I would happily be one of its biggest fans.

When I say her own salon, I mean her own salon. She is owner & employee. This is a nail salon for one. One table, one tech. Many shelves. Countless color options; most are from Chanel. No acrylics OR gel. This is old school, healthy, & classic. When you enter, there's a small "coat room," and then you walk into the "salon." It's a warm & even homey space. Framed artsy black & white photos intermix w photos of her family. It's quiet, comfortable, & comforting. She offered me a cup of coffee, which I really needed. And, it was a good cup of coffee! Then it happened. She proceeded to give me the most detailed mani & pedi that I've ever had. Case in point? It was 2 hours. 2 hours for a "regular" mani & pedi. Even more, she's engaging. Like to hell & back. We covered the homeless, loveable but not-so-likable family members, the best carnitas in the bay, & how "women only need a red lip, short red nail, & a pair of great sunglasses." (Coco Chanel lived it, Paloma Picasso said it, & Jackie O followed it). There were also some local politics, & Jesus was mixed in there, too. We mused. We laughed. But despite the convo, Lavinia never lost focus from the job at hand. She's as thorough & professional AF. Basically, I left feeling like I just had a visit w an old friend. A friend, incidentally, who does manicures for professional photo shoots, too. The next time you're rifling through a magazine/newspaper supplement/catalog, & you see a hand modeling a ring, or a flute of champagne... Those nails could have been done by Lavinia. 6 stars if I could.

It was easy to schedule an appointment through their website. I am so happy I did and can't wait for my next manicure! I decided to go back to my natural nails so I got an acrylic removal and a gel manicure. I can't state enough how impressed I was with their attention to detail during the entire experience. They did not rush through the process and took their time to paint on the nail design I requested. I sometimes don't have a ton to chat about but everyone was nice and let me sit quietly listening to the music and watching people queue on the boba line outside.
