Our first visit - 90 minutes deep tissue couples massage. We had June and Steve. We've gotten numerous Thai massages (in US and Thailand). This one was average. Steve did not do enough pressure for my partner. June did the right level of pressure for me, even adjusting as necessary. I was turned over with only 20 minutes left which didn't leave enough time for my arms and neck (which I had circled on my form). Overall it was ok but given a choice of other places I would probably skip. read more

I saw the sign when I was walking by and decided to make an appointment for a Thai massage due to my stiff neck and shoulder. Too much desk job work. I was able to make a same day appointment when I called and had a 60 minute Thai massage with Pearl. She is awesome! When you get there, they have you fill out a form to let them know what areas are your 'problem areas'. Pearl did a wonderful job focusing on those areas. She is strong and applied a strong pressure, which is what I prefer. I left there feeling great and definitely slept well. The next day I felt much much better and had better motion in my neck. Thanks Pearl! I'll be back. read more

Cheeva Thai Massage - Sign by the walkway - Massage Near Me - Burlingame, California

My wife and I regularly get massages. We just got a couples massage to celebrate our anniversary here and experience was mediocre. We just got back from Thailand and had a couple massages there. This massage just did not deliver the same experience. We felt like they just smeared oil on our backs and did not really understand how to use pressure points effectively. read more

I had an amazing experience at Cheeva Thai Massage. The massage was incredibly effective--great technique, perfect pressure, and they really knew how to target all the right pressure points. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and noticeably relieved from tension and pain. The space was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of care you receive. Overall, this felt like a truly healing experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality Thai massage! read more

Quiet hole in the wall but best 60min Thai massage! Absolutely felt relaxed and relieved after a month of stress and tension!

I got Thai massage and it was very good. My body really needed massage and visited after work. I have to say I felt my stress all went away after it. June applied right amount of pressure and she was a great masseuse! I will definitely come back. read more

Clean and great ambiance here! Ive only ever worked with June so far after a few visits over the years. She is simply the best there is. Attitude and quality of massage has never changed. I needed relief for my neck, back, and shoulders with different pressures and got it. This location is my go to. Especially now that they've happened to move closer to me. They offer various types of massages even for those that are pregnant. I highly recommend if you are in the area! read more

I'm an international airline pilot out of SFO. Recently I landed from a long flight from Singapore and thought I would get a Thai massage somewhere near the airport. I found Cheeva Thai massage in Burlingame just 10 minutes from SFO. I decided to get a 90 minute Thai massage from June. This was one of my best massages in years. She worked out all my kinks and I felt completely rejuvenated afterwards The massage studio is very clean and comfortable. I give Cheeva Thai massage "10" Stars!!! If you give it a try you won't be disappointed! read more

June -- The masseuse provided a well-tailored Thai massage that specifically targeted all my trigger points. I felt completely renewed afterward, with all muscle tension released. read more

Take it from a massage gourmet, who's tried many massage places (Thai, chinese, american) and has studied massage himself . . . this was an amzing massage! Not just a massage, but a healing session with prone and supine position yoga. Whatever she did made me feel younger, I was able to breathe with my full lungs, just like it felt when I was a child. My massage was a strong, deep tissue massage, that included a lot of good assisted stretching. Yours can be as strong or light as you wish. June only wieghs 107 pounds so there is a limit to how much force she can use. This is a very thorough massage. Every muscle, as well as any problem areas, were professionally addressed and treated. I'm not much for the fancy massage/spa locations but there are times where the stress in my life and profession and hobbies becomes so much that I really need a deep tissue massage to get rid of the pain in my neck, shoulders, calfs and heck entire body. The space inside is comfortable and nice. You're asked to remove your shoes before entering the massage room. Slippers are provided. Parking is convenient and easy. Their bathrooms are clean, the space you're in is clean and the doors are heavy curtains. Before getting past the front door, you're asked to fill out a small form on what you want the masseuse to focus on, avoid, etc. She follows this as a guide during your appointment. A friend recommended June and swore that she would be perfect for me. She is excellent at judging the amount of pressure I need and is dedicated to working on the stress points and more, and does so in a friendly and comfortable environment. June's sister has a Cheeva Thai Massage place in Bangkok and she has invited me to visit her sister. She once kindly offered me some Pad Thai which I kindly declined. Maybe one day, my stomach will get the better of me. I would strongly (107 pounds strong) recommend June. read more

When I got there they were really kind, they wanted to make sure you are super comfortable. It was the first time I asked for a deep tissue massage so I didn't know what to expect, I think with that type of massage the moves are faster than a relaxing one but I think it's s on purpose. At first I didn't feel like I had enough time on my neck and shoulders or that she didn't went deep on them but then I asked if at the end if she could focus more on that area and she did! even better that I expected!! She asked me to sit up and with her elbows she was able to put more pressure as she was massaging and that was the best thing ever! I think overall you just have to be vocal about your needs and desires and it looks like June will meet them. I'm a shy person so I struggle with that at times but that's on me. They also offered me tea at the end and was so good! There are only two things that I didn't enjoy. The first is that I didn't feel like the head rest of the bed was very comfortable even though I tried to arrange myself a few times. The second is that when I paid the guy there asked me how much I wanted to tip instead of handing me the terminal so I can discreetly decide. He only give me the three options 15, 20 or 25% and no option for 'other'. I don't think is rude just not very considerate. Tips are optional even though they have almost become mandatory in this country. read more

June is an amazing therapist. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Awesome professional Thai style massage.

Went into my massage with knots in my shoulder blades, pain radiating up my neck and giving me a tension headache. Booked a 1.5 hour Thai massage with Cindy and it was one of the best decisions of my life. This woman is strong and so good at finding those sticking points that cause you pain. Thai massages are not for the weak of heart! I felt so loose, light, and relaxed afterwards. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Visited this place as it was highly recommended to me and let me tell you - the raving reviews are right! I have scoliosis and work an office job that occasionally has me working long hours at my desk so we can all only imagine how many knots I have in my neck, shoulders and back. Walking into the place, I was greeted by a quaint front desk where you leave your shoes and change into slippers. I was then given a consent and preference form to fill out any target areas that I wanted to massage or not massage. Loved this detail so much! My friend came along so she and I shared a dark room that was playing calming serene music. There were baskets for our clothes and beds + towels to lay with. Loved the black-out curtains. We opted for deep tissue massages. Our masseuses asked us if we were ready for them to enter and then proceeded in. They were so polite the entire time. They began our massages and let me tell you, I felt the knots in my back MOVE. It was somewhat painful but in a very very relaxing way. I didn't want her to stop, it felt so good! She would check in every now and then to ask if the pressure/strength was okay. At the end of the massage, they left us to dress and then greeted us with hot tea or water depending on our preference. Overall, what an amazing experience. I will definitely be back and recommending this to all in the area. read more

Finally, I get to try Cheeva Thai massage today. It was recommended to me by a friend. Cheeva is right at the corner of a quiet neighborhood on El Camino. Easy to find. There is plenty of parking around the building. Inside the shop are clean and comfortable. Beautiful Thai decorations on the wall. They'll give you sandals to change before heading into the room. The rooms are simple, clean, and quiet. I opted for gentle/medium pressure traditional thai massage. June (the owner) did magic to relieve the tension and knots of my stiff muscles. Omg....she is amazing!! I'm gonna get back to my self care routine. And I think I found my spot. Thanks, June! read more

Discovered this place in its new location across the street from my building so I decided to try it. Best decision. I've had two massages there in the last few months, and both were fantastic. Two different therapists. One deeper tissue and one more of a Swedish one. Amazing. They take last minute appointments and they are open late. It's very clean, the tea is wonderful at the end, and they are so kind. Also very very reasonably priced. I highly recommend. read more

It's the worst place I have ever been. I mean the quality of massage. I really love massage and go often, and for this place I can only give 1 out of 10, first of all, the room was extremely cold, secondly the women only touching to my body, who didn't ever tried do to more better. I cannot imagine how this place is even possible to get 4.5 star. It's ridiculous. I spend $100 for only for that she would smear my body with oil. I will never come to this place again. And suggest to all, who really don't wanna spent his time and money for nothing. read more

Cheeva Thai Massage is an amazing place to wind down and enjoy an authentic Thai massage! I chose the 60 minute deep tissue massage with Wan. Because my shoulders and legs felt extremely tight, I told Wan during our session to focus on these parts. She was able to take out all the knots in a comfortable and safe way. The facility itself was very clean and they take all necessary sanitation precautions for their clients. Will definitely return in the near future. read more

My go to- Cheeva! I can't live without this place and neither will you once you come and try out their massages. IM TELLING YOU ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY. I frequently lift heavy objects and am always sitting at my desk so my body does ache and sore. Sometimes I would wake up and my body would just ache. I thought I would feel like this for the rest of my life until I found Cheeva!!!! It's located behind a restaurant so not super easy to see but definitely easy to find. There is plenty of free street parking outside. Everyone at Cheeva is super friendly and welcoming. My go to masseuse is P and she is so amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you've been wanting a massage. My boyfriend buys their package deal which is super worth it. So if you loved the massage the first time and want more definitely look into that! They also provide hot tea or water at the end and the whole place is super clean! read more

Excellent service! Great therapists! Very clean! I truly enjoyed my massage and it was worth the cost!

I thought I would write a new review since it's been a while and Cheeva has moved to a new location, still on El Camino. Cindy has become my go-to Thai masseuse over here. I had some severe shoulder pain that sort of came out of nowhere, although I had surgery on this shoulder about six years ago that for the most part had fixed my longhead biceps tendon problem. When this new pain would not go away, I went back to the surgeon who had no solution. I was getting kind of desperate, and decided to see if Thai massage could help, so I went to Cheeva. I asked Cindy to concentrate on my shoulder with some strong pressure. First session nothing much changed. Next session we used some analgesic liniment that I brought with me on the shoulder, and things started to improve. The next time she spent at least 45 minutes working hard on just my shoulder with more of the liniment. As Cindy put it, she "...was getting drunk on my shoulder". That was a few months ago. Once in a while during exercise I feel a twinge of pain, but otherwise, it's been "problem solved." Now it's just maintenance. Cheeva and Cindy are highly recommended. read more

Cheeva Thai just opened recently and offering specials via Groupon for 90 mins and 60mins for either a Thai, Swedish or combo massages at such a great price! But why get a Swedish massage at a Thai place?! Hmmm...but if you want to relax I'd recommend that option...if you want intermittent relaxation with relief from those knots, and need some stretching I'd highly recommend the Thai massages which are not for the faint of heart...they'll stretch those legs and arms in all directions! :) They do offer various pressures and will ask your trouble areas and if ok to walk on you as part of the massage. And yes, they can adjust the pressure with that too. I find Thai massages beneficial for my neck/shoulder pain which I'm sure is from sitting in front of a computer most of the day and just overall, stress. It can be a little rough with the stretching but in the end your body seems so relaxed and want to stay on the table to nap... Staff friendly and accommodating...my friend and I were running late for our appt due to an accident on the bridge so we called up to let them know...most places would say you lose out on the time which I get but Cheeva made effort to check with the appointments after us to come in 15 minutes later! Whew it all worked out! Pinky was my masseuse today and she was wonderful by asking me throughout if the pressure was okay...I admit I flinched a couple of time as my calves are more sensitive and she quickly adjusted. Located on El Camino behind Charm Thai eatery which you can make a day of a wonderful massage and yummy food afterwards! Not a bad plan! read more

It had been quite a while since I'd gotten a massage. For years, I went to Suchada, near my office in the city, but I mostly work from home now, so wanted a place closer to home. So, I tried out Cheeva and got a traditional Thai massage from June. While I was very tight, she did a great job and I'll definitely be going back soon. read more

Best massage in the area! I moved from Socal 2 years ago and have been looking for a truly strong and consistently good massage and was fortunate enough to find this place. They have since moved from their original location but the new location is even better! It's walkable for me and there are plenty more parking. Give them a try and buy their packages. Well worth it! read more

Excellent Thai combination massage. Great relief for my lower back pain. I highly recommend June.

I am waiting for 2 months to write this review, this place had good massage & service before. But about 2 months ago I booked appointment & requested a therapist that I like, when I get there, another therapist came in room (I didnt know until 10 minutes massage, feel different), I asked if she is the one I requested ? She said No, she called the therapist that I requested & she gave me 50 minutes massage. Few weeks later, I booked an appointment requested the same therapist that I like, when I get there they told she went home already & not gonna be available for while, I thought why nobody tell me that she inot available, I booked same day appointment over the phone, they must know. I went massage few days ago, I never see this therapist before, she gave me massage too fast like brushing something,, deep tissue masage was pain actually with her than enjoyable, not because she was too strong pressure, but because the way she massage like brushing, fast, until now I feel sores on my back. read more

I was in need of a massage, and found Cheeva Thai through Groupon. Hands down one of the best massages I have gotten! My masseuse really went into the knots I had and knew where I needed more attention on without having me tell her. This was my first time getting a massage where my masseuse stepped on my back, and I will admit I was a bit nervous, but she was gentle and did an excellent job. They have a promo going on, which is a great deal, (see picture posted). Thinking of getting it, so I can experience 90 mins of pure bliss again... read more

Jane was nothing short of amazing! I called in last minute and she booked me thirty minutes later. I typically always have really bad knots in my shoulders so, of course, I wanted her to work on breaking those up. She was meticulous in using chiropractic/Thai stretches (not a part of what I asked for but she felt I needed it ) to warm up the muscles before beginning any of the deep tissue work. I think other reviewers mention not getting the full hour or feeling like they got uneven massages. I honestly kept expecting the massage to end short every time she left to grab a hot towel for each section of my body. But I felt like she took her sweet time on me, paying careful attention to the knots I knew AND DIDN'T know about. I'm a huge fan of deep tissue massages and I've been to ones where I was scrunching my face in pain with less knots. Jane was very firm (the way I like) but also extremely gentle. The massage didn't cause me excruciating discomfort, in other words. I actually almost fell asleep. Pretty excited to have randomly found this place on yelp. Will def be back. read more

Save your money and don't go. I used to be a loyal customer for a long time even during Covid. I bought a package online and never got an email confirmation. I was told I could call in and they booked it online for me. So I totally forgot when I bought it and when it would be expired. Usually if I could book it online it would show me when it would expire. I still have 8 more hours left and I was told it was expired. Since I never got an email receipt so I cannot even check when I booked it. And nobody notified me that it would expire in some time. This is not a complaint. Just to tell anyone thinking of going there, you could save your money and don't go.I paid 20 hours and I only got 12 hours and they said the last 90 minutes are free. The whole logic is ridiculous. read more

It was my amazing experience here. wonderful massage and excellent staff! I will definitely be back soon.

It's a humble place but always I feel relaxed coming here. Inexpensive but good massage. Quiet place.

Holy guacamole ! Can I tell you how great this place is? You walk in the vibe is super chill. They take you into a room and they request for you to take your clothes off and wear these really soft pants and throw a towel on you and lay flat down. I can't even describe the greatness of my masseuse. I got the groupon special, it ended today (07/05/18) but they honored it no questions asked. They have a special at the moment for first timers. Check out the pic. enjoy. Totally worth the money. It is hidden, and parking may or may not be a hit or miss only because it's on el Camino. They trigger every single pressure point. I'm totally for this place. Definitely coming back. read more
