I was able to make a same day appointment when I called and had a 60 minute Thai massage with Pearl. She is awesome! When you get there, they have you fill out a form to let them know what areas are your 'problem areas'. Pearl did a wonderful job focusing on those areas. Take it from a massage gourmet, who's tried many massage places (Thai, chinese, american) and has studied massage himself . . . this was an amzing massage! Not just a massage, but a healing session with prone and supine position yoga. Whatever she did made me feel younger, I was able to breathe with my full lungs, just like it felt when I was a child. My massage was a strong, deep tissue massage, that included a lot of good assisted stretching. Yours can be as strong or light as you wish. June only wieghs 107 pounds so there is a limit to how much force she can use. This is a very thorough massage. Every muscle, as well as any problem areas, were professionally addressed and treated. I'm not much for the fancy massage/spa locations but there are times where the stress in my life and profession and hobbies becomes so much that I really need a deep tissue massage to get rid of the pain in my neck, shoulders, calfs and heck entire body. The space inside is comfortable and nice. You're asked to remove your shoes before entering the massage room. Slippers are provided. Parking is convenient and easy. Their bathrooms are clean, the space you're in is clean and the doors are heavy curtains. Before getting past the front door, you're asked to fill out a small form on what you want the masseuse to focus on, avoid, etc. She follows this as a guide during your appointment. A friend recommended June and swore that she would be perfect for me. She is excellent at judging the amount of pressure I need and is dedicated to working on the stress points and more, and does so in a friendly and comfortable environment. June's sister has a Cheeva Thai Massage place in Bangkok and she has invited me to visit her sister. She once kindly offered me some Pad Thai which I kindly declined. When I got there they were really kind, they wanted to make sure you are super comfortable. It was the first time I asked for a deep tissue massage so I didn't know what to expect, I think with that type of massage the moves are faster than a relaxing one but I think it's s on purpose. At first I didn't feel like I had enough time on my neck and shoulders or that she didn't went deep on them but then I asked if at the end if she could focus more on that area and she did! even better that I expected!! She asked me to sit up and with her elbows she was able to put more pressure as she was massaging and that was the best thing ever! I think overall you just have to be vocal about your needs and desires and it looks like June will meet them. I'm a shy person so I struggle with that at times but that's on me. They also offered me tea at the end and was so good! There are only two things that I didn't enjoy. The first is that I didn't feel like the head rest of the bed was very comfortable even though I tried to arrange myself a few times. The second is that when I paid the guy there asked me how much I wanted to tip instead of handing me the terminal so I can discreetly decide. He only give me the three options 15, 20 or 25% and no option for 'other'. I don't think is rude just not very considerate. I really love massage and go often, and for this place I can only give 1 out of 10, first of all, the room was extremely cold, secondly the women only touching to my body, who didn't ever tried do to more better. Visited this place as it was highly recommended to me and let me tell you - the raving reviews are right! I have scoliosis and work an office job that occasionally has me working long hours at my desk so we can all only imagine how many knots I have in my neck, shoulders and back. Walking into the place, I was greeted by a quaint front desk where you leave your shoes and change into slippers. I was then given a consent and preference form to fill out any target areas that I wanted to massage or not massage. Loved this detail so much! My friend came along so she and I shared a dark room that was playing calming serene music. There were baskets for our clothes and beds + towels to lay with. Loved the black-out curtains. We opted for deep tissue massages. Our masseuses asked us if we were ready for them to enter and then proceeded in. They were so polite the entire time. They began our massages and let me tell you, I felt the knots in my back MOVE. It was somewhat painful but in a very very relaxing way. I didn't want her to stop, it felt so good! She would check in every now and then to ask if the pressure/strength was okay. At the end of the massage, they left us to dress and then greeted us with hot tea or water depending on our preference. Because my shoulders and legs felt extremely tight, I told Wan during our session to focus on these parts. She was able to take out all the knots in a comfortable and safe way. I thought I would write a new review since it's been a while and Cheeva has moved to a new location, still on El Camino. Cindy has become my go-to Thai masseuse over here. I had some severe shoulder pain that sort of came out of nowhere, although I had surgery on this shoulder about six years ago that for the most part had fixed my longhead biceps tendon problem. When this new pain would not go away, I went back to the surgeon who had no solution. I was getting kind of desperate, and decided to see if Thai massage could help, so I went to Cheeva. I asked Cindy to concentrate on my shoulder with some strong pressure. First session nothing much changed. Next session we used some analgesic liniment that I brought with me on the shoulder, and things started to improve. The next time she spent at least 45 minutes working hard on just my shoulder with more of the liniment. As Cindy put it, she "...was getting drunk on my shoulder". That was a few months ago. Once in a while during exercise I feel a twinge of pain, but otherwise, it's been "problem solved." Now it's just maintenance. Cheeva and Cindy are highly recommended. read more

Cheeva Thai just opened recently and offering specials via Groupon for 90 mins and 60mins for either a Thai, Swedish or combo massages at such a great price! But why get a Swedish massage at a Thai place?! Hmmm...but if you want to relax I'd recommend that option...if you want intermittent relaxation with relief from those knots, and need some stretching I'd highly recommend the Thai massages which are not for the faint of heart...they'll stretch those legs and arms in all directions! :) They do offer various pressures and will ask your trouble areas and if ok to walk on you as part of the massage. And yes, they can adjust the pressure with that too. I find Thai massages beneficial for my neck/shoulder pain which I'm sure is from sitting in front of a computer most of the day and just overall, stress. It can be a little rough with the stretching but in the end your body seems so relaxed and want to stay on the table to nap... Staff friendly and accommodating...my friend and I were running late for our appt due to an accident on the bridge so we called up to let them know...most places would say you lose out on the time which I get but Cheeva made effort to check with the appointments after us to come in 15 minutes later! Whew it all worked out! Pinky was my masseuse today and she was wonderful by asking me throughout if the pressure was okay...I admit I flinched a couple of time as my calves are more sensitive and she quickly adjusted. Jane was nothing short of amazing! I called in last minute and she booked me thirty minutes later. I typically always have really bad knots in my shoulders so, of course, I wanted her to work on breaking those up. She was meticulous in using chiropractic/Thai stretches (not a part of what I asked for but she felt I needed it ) to warm up the muscles before beginning any of the deep tissue work. I think other reviewers mention not getting the full hour or feeling like they got uneven massages. I honestly kept expecting the massage to end short every time she left to grab a hot towel for each section of my body. But I felt like she took her sweet time on me, paying careful attention to the knots I knew AND DIDN'T know about. I'm a huge fan of deep tissue massages and I've been to ones where I was scrunching my face in pain with less knots. Jane was very firm (the way I like) but also extremely gentle. Save your money and don't go. I used to be a loyal customer for a long time even during Covid. I bought a package online and never got an email confirmation. I was told I could call in and they booked it online for me. So I totally forgot when I bought it and when it would be expired. Usually if I could book it online it would show me when it would expire. I still have 8 more hours left and I was told it was expired. Since I never got an email receipt so I cannot even check when I booked it. And nobody notified me that it would expire in some time. This is not a complaint. Just to tell anyone thinking of going there, you could save your money and don't go.I paid 20 hours and I only got 12 hours and they said the last 90 minutes are free. Holy guacamole ! Can I tell you how great this place is? You walk in the vibe is super chill. They take you into a room and they request for you to take your clothes off and wear these really soft pants and throw a towel on you and lay flat down. This place did not live down the expectation! The establishment is very clean and staff was accommodating on the phone and in person. Noot was my therapist and she was attentive to my lower back and hamstrings without having to tell her my issues. Great intuitive massage, classic Thai style with perfect pressure. I had a 60 mins Thai Massage today. Not very satisfied with overall experience. 1. Only pants was provided, no shirt (as other massage places always have both) 2. No selection of whether using lotion or not. Personally I don't like lotion. 3. The therapist was not very professional, and the massage itself was not authentic Thai style for sure.
