When I met with the doctor, she simply said no, turned around, and then told me she could not work with me because I did not trust her. There was no discussion or explanation. I found her reaction dismissive and extremely rude. If my request was unacceptable, they could have told me when I called and saved me an hour of driving. Given the concerns surrounding non-FDA-approved peptides, I believe politely requesting to see the product (label) of what I am purchasing is reasonable. The doctor's reaction only made me more concerned about the source of what they are selling. It is totally fine that the dr wants to hide what they are selling. What makes me upset is wasting an hour driving in for this unpleasant experience.

During this visit, Mara dry shaved my legs (they had already been shaved prior to this appointment). She dry shaved my legs really rough and not carefully, I noticed several areas that were bleeding and later developed marks that look very similar to razor cuts. This was my first appointment where I was dry shaved by the nurse literally seconds before the laser was done. When I brought this up during the appointment, my concerns were repeatedly attributed to my skin, stating that "that's just how your skin is" despite the fact that I have undergone many laser treatments without ever having this issue. I also want to add their patient portal is inaccurate. My appointment says my provider was Noelle, even after the appointment it's not documented / updated correctly who my provider was. Based on my experience, the marks appear more consistent with shaving-related cuts than a typical laser reaction. While I understand that different reactions can happen, I expected my concerns to be taken seriously and addressed professionally.

I do wanna start off with saying that the pedicures that my husband and I received were amazing and the rating is not for the pedicures. I typically don't get my nails done with acrylics or extensions because I just do press on at home but because it was my birthday weekend I wanted to spoil myself a little bit so I didn't have to put on press and I was pampered a little bit. Originally, I had asked to do a basic manicure, but changed my mind to do gel extensions after seeing some of the work on yelp. So I asked for gelx extensions and I showed them the inspo picture that I wanted from Yelp. After my pedicure was done, they moved me to the chair so that I can start my gelx extension . When the application started, I started noticing that when she was applying the extensions, they were a little bit crooked, but I kept my mouth quiet because I assumed they would just fix it during the filing portion. When it came to the filing portion, for some reason, she pushed back all the cuticles on the inner side of each nail to file and make the almond shape but when it came to filing the outer side of each nail she didn't push the cuticle back which a lot of my fingers had gel on the skin. Once the filing was complete, I looked at my nails, and all of my nails were crooked. They were all pointing outward, and I noticed that one of my fingers had a nail extension that was put on there wasn't even the width of my natural nail, so there was a gap between my natural nail and the gelX extension. This nail had to be redone three times. Another nail artist came by and just grabbed my hand and started filing and didn't even say anything to me, almost like it was a bother to fix my nails. By this time I had been in the shop for almost 2 hours between my pedicure and starting my gelx extension. The nail artist asked me what design I wanted AGAIN, so save time I completely scratched the original design I wanted because it had intricate 3-D art and nail gems and decided to change to cateye nail polish. On the cat eye nail display that was provided me to choose the color, there were two types of magnetic design that I can have one was the S type of shape and there was a French tip "u" shaped magnetic designed that I personally wanted to get. When it came to actually doing the magnetic part to make the nail a cat eye, the artist didn't ask me if I wanted the S shape or the U shape they just kept going and they continued to cure each nail. You might ask why I didn't speak up. It was because I was already in the nail shop for over two hours and me and my husband had plans so I didn't have the time for her to completely remove the color to redo it due to her already curing each nail. Once I got in the car, I could already see that the nail needed at least one or two more coats because you can clearly see through my nail, which took away from the cat eye design and the way that she swirled the magnetic wand, It did not even leave the S shape. There is barely a cat eye on my nails, but to make matters worse, the nail that was used bend so easily and they are not strong whatsoever. So it was a bit of a disappointment to get a set of nails that could be great, but they were not. They were very crooked. I had to go home and fix them myself. So to spend $80 on a set of nails that were crooked, thin, easily bendable and you can see through them and did not have a true cat eye design on them and I paid extra for the cat eye. It was a bit of a disappointment. We are not from this side of the bay so going back to the shop is not an option for me. Again, I wanna repeat this review and rating is specifically for my gel X full set and not the pedicures that were received by my husband and I those were great.

During my appointment, the technician worked very deep into the corners of my toenails. While she was able to remove an ingrown nail on my left foot, the pressure and digging were quite painful. On my right big toe, there was a moment where she was working on the side and had to stop suddenly. By the weekend, my right toe was severely inflamed, and I ended up at urgent care. I am now on a course of antibiotics for an infection, sadly needing to taking them during my vacation. I truly appreciate how kind the team is, but I would urge the salon to be more cautious with how aggressively they handle ingrown edges to prevent these kinds of medical issues for future clients.
