Yuki Beauty & Groupon had a good deal for first time customers. I bought the 90min dermabrasion & pore cleansing. Appointments were easy to make over text and there's free parking outside. Once you step in, you have to fill out a form with your personal info & describe your skin type. After checking in, I was guided into 1 of 3 private rooms. Renee did what it felt like a consultation first. She helped me cleanse my skin first & describe what I needed. Any questioned I had, she explained well. She advised me to add on a nano oxygen treatment ($69) on top of the two others I signed up for. I responded, sure I'll try it. Afterwards, another esthetician (Ella) came in while my face was getting steamed and started with the extractions. She informed me every step she was doing, and checked if I was okay along the way. Next was microdermabrasion, high frequency facial wand, and then the nano oxygen (came off a like surprise, it felt like my face was being blasted with a mist of water & air) no complaints though, if it's for beauty. Lastly, after facial massage, a mask is placed. While waiting for the mask to soak into the skin, there was a shoulder, head, arm & finger massage. My review is more based on the experience after my facial. I came in with a Groupon as I am on the search for a esthetician. So I scheduled with yuki super easy. The space is small, you are separated by thin walls with no ceiling. Aside from that, yuki did a great job with the facial. She mentioned she Micro-blades all clients but she did my eyebrows and I usually wax. So the growth after was not great. But I'd she good at facials, yes. She knows what she is doing. Overall, she gave me feedback on my skin and made it sound like I had horrible skin which I was really surprised but felt, she's a expert. She mentioned how her child took better care and had better skim than me. Geesh....Cut to paying and she was trying to sell me packages that are worth around or more than 1k out the door. I don't know about others, but I don't have that to just throw down. She then talked about doing payment plans which were still unreasonable and I just felt she was pushy, stating the deal only was good today. Well, I've since seen 2 other ppl for facials and asked about my skin. None have said my skin is as awful as she stated and did not agree with the areas she mentioned to focus on. She advised that I should get the nano oxygen treatment because my skin is very dry and the hydration serum can better penetrate into the deeper layers of my skin. I first came across Yuki Beauty recommended by a friend and I made an appointment with her using a Groupon promotion I found. After that first session, I purchased 5 facial packs for microdermabrasion, nano oxygen, lifting, and deep hydration. The facial also includes pore cleansing, face mask and light shoulder, head, and arm massage. I actually didn't get to use my facial packs until end of last year due to pandemic. I've been looking for a good and affordable place to get a facial in the Bay Area and I'm so glad I came across Yuki Beauty! I bought the two for $90 microdermabrasion with deep pore cleansing on groupon and was able to make an appointment over text with Yuki for the following morning. The location was easy to find and parking was free. After looking at my skin, she suggested for me to add the nano oxygen facial which was an additional $45 (originally $135). She started off with a steam to open up my pores, removed all the blackheads and whiteheads, then proceeded to the microdermabrasion which removed all the dead skin on the surface, and then the nano oxygen which was super hydrating and made my skin feel smoother and look brighter! She finished off with a face mask and a very relaxing face, head, neck, shoulder, arm, and hand massage! It was a pleasant surprise. I never write reviews but wanted to share my experience as I thought it was going to be positive, due to all the reviews. Upon completing my new client paperwork that I handed over to Renee (the esthetician), the first thing she looked at was my paper and looked at my face (even with my face mask on) and said "you can't remember the last time you had a facial? wow a lot of acne!" This was really a shock as a first time client, I felt like that was an unprofessional/rude remark within my first few minutes in the facility. On top of that, we were still at the front desk and not even doing the consultation yet. There was no wait, so I was immediately walked into the facial room. I originally was supposed to come in for the Group On sale which is a "microdermabrasion treatment + deep pore cleansing treatment", but while doing a quick consultation, she was really honest and mentioned that we weren't able to do it because microdermabrasion is to remove dead skin, but due to the redness and scarring, it was best to do an acne facial treatment instead. While going over my skin, Renee also had a few rude comments such as "wow how long have you been having the scarring for? the spots are so dark, it looks like its been months or even a year. you should stop using the products you are using" and "what took you so long to get a facial?" Then she proceeds to say, "I've never seen this before. even my clients who have acne, it's only a little a bit and not the whole face". At this point, I felt very devastated with all the comments. I even explained to her that I've felt so insecure with my skin and that I've neglected getting facials, which is obviously why I'm here to get help and to feel better about my skin. (mainly dark scarring/hyperpigmentation) Something positive is that Renee explained the steps she was doing and what products she was using it for. For the acne facial treatment, she started with deep cleaning the pores, did high frequency for a few minutes, a mask, massage, and followed up a blue LED light. During this process, Renee asked if I was okay a few times which was nice. The facility is pretty small and separated by thin walls. I can hear someone else talking in the room next to me and there was an alarm I heard that kept beeping until someone turned it off. The ambiance could be better/relaxing. When I was checking out, Renee explained that they offer package deals 10x facials for new first time clients. I was hesitant to book as 10x facials is pricey, but she proceeded to comment "you have to be very consistent with your facials such as coming in every 3 weeks especially because you have a lot of scarring. if you want to come back and see me, i suggest getting the package deal to lighten your acne scarring". I know estheticians are supposed to provide you with the best treatment plan for your skins need and I understand that everyone's skin is completely different, but I felt like I was getting negative feedback instead of help/recommendations on to improve my skin. Overall, the acne facial was good but as a client who is trying to get help with my skin journey, I felt like the comments were coming off in a rude way. I feel like instead of judging clients for the skin they are currently in, make your clients feel comfortable during this process! :) read more

Just returned from my facial and wanted to get this out before I procrastinated any longer. Yuki and her team all wonderful estheticians. I original found her on Groupon just over a year ago and have been going about once a month since. I purchased a package (facial, micro-abrasion and oxygen treatments) and it takes about 1.5 hours from start to finish. The rooms are all clean and and there is soft music playing in the background. The rooms have open ceilings so you can hear conversations outside the room (this doesn't bother me). You don on a 1/2 wrap set yourself and the table which is (ahhh) heated. Let me walk you through the visit. Your hair get wrapped back and she starts with a face massage. Then applies a gentle cleanser which is wiped off with a warm very soft washcloth. Next she cleans up the brows and upper lip facial hairs with a face razor (no it doesn't leave stubble and it doesn't hurt). Then comes a steam bath and I'm ready for the whitehead extractions. A little painful but I want those out! Afterwards she applies a topical tea tree serum and goes over it with an (ion?) wand. This prevents my face from breaking out with little bumps. Rest of the treatment etc. Lastly a piece by piece mask is applied and the upper shoulders, chest , arms and fingers are massaged. To finish there is a light percussion to the arms and back. They will accommodate if you want more pressure or less. Totally relaxed and my face feels so clean! I might have left something out but hopefully you get the idea of how awesome this place is. read more

I'm obsessed with skincare and scrutinize my skin a little too much, so trust me when I say the post-facial glow from Yuki is REAL.
