H- Mart, Dublin The wait for this H- Mart location to open finally happened after so many years! This location opened on March 26, 2026. The Pro's: this is much closer to me since I live in the East Bay, I don't have to go to San Jose for my H- Mart needs. The staffs are friendly and this location seems very organized since it is still the first week of the grand opening. There were samples! There's so much fresh prepared food! So far it's very well organized! The Con's: Parking is tough and gotta be patient cause it's super crowded. Also, very crowded inside! I didn't get to look around all aisles since it was so crowded inside, barely had room to walk through. I would definitely come back later when it isn't so busy! read more

H Mart is basically a cleaner, bigger, & way more variety of items to get than other Asian grocery stores. They've got huge produce section, huge meat/seafood area/selection, endless snacks, & a very big food court. The seafood area is so impressive, they've got tons of fish, lobster, etc in the tanks, like you see at the restaurants, not like just in display glass at a regular grocery store. This place is heaven for foodies. The pricing for most items are also very reasonable too. This spot is very close to the 580/680 freeway crossings. It's in a strip mall with Ross, & a few other stores, I'm sure those stores are happy they're about to get more potential business now. Come and check out H Mart if you haven't yet. The long awaited store finally opened. Granted I probably should have waited until the hype dies down. But I was so excited. There was no line when I arrived I think I was lucky. Because by the time my friend arrived she said there was a line again! Ready made meals look interesting. Sushi are reasonably priced. The Korean ready made meals are expensive. To me they look like they're sit down meal prices. So I didn't get anything but tteokbokki. LOTS of sliced meats and marinated meats. The options are pretty insane. The carts are still new and drives really nice hehe The food court I don't think open until a little later . TLJ is busy because they're obviously open. The others I see workers but not behind the cashiers so idk. The food court pricing is interesting. I see dishes listed in the high $20s and 30s. For a food court I was surprised. The aisles are tiny. I mean tiny. Barely fits 2 carts side by side. Still lots of freebies available as of 2nd day of opening. They are very organized. Kudos to the management and workers. I'd been excited to check this place out, especially to try the grilled sweet potato. Even a week after opening, there was still a line, but it moved quickly. Inside felt a bit crowded, though. Right at the entrance, there is a grill station where items are pre-packed and sold by the pound, which I thought was pretty convenient. What really stood out was the variety, they carry a huge selection of seafood, fresh produce (including some exotic fruits), specialty ice creams, noodles, a wide range of teas and coffees, frozen foods, and baked goods. There are tons of vegetables, fruits, frozen items, meat, seafood, sauces, it is almost list an amusement park of a grocery store. I've been there twice and feel like I've only scratched the surface. Not for me. I tried out this business shortly after it opened. It was pretty much like I expected with fairly large crowds and tight parking, but I didn't really like the interior of the store. It seems very tight with very loud music playing. To my surprise, the entrees in the food court were all expensive. So while it's a good selection, I probably will pass. read more

I've visited this H Mart in Dublin three times since it opened, and unfortunately, it will be my last. While the store itself is modern, clean, and well-stocked with a huge variety of Asian groceries, prepared foods, and fresh items, the actual quality and service have been consistently disappointing for me.First visit (about 3 weeks after opening): The store looked great and had tons of appealing products. I picked up sushi-grade sashimi and very thinly sliced Wagyu beef. The sashimi was poor quality -- not fresh tasting at all. The Wagyu was okay but definitely not worth the premium price. I also noticed several shelf-stocking employees being noticeably rude.Second visit (about 6 weeks later): Lines had improved. I tried some of the hot/warm prepared foods to take home. They were mediocre at best -- nothing I'd go out of my way for again.Third visit (today): Bought more prepared items for a light lunch. In my opinion, they were not edible. Same rude staff behavior again.Summary: The physical store is impressive with excellent selection and layout. However, the fresh/prepared food quality has been a big letdown every time, especially for the prices, and the customer service from employees has felt unfriendly on each visit. For a new store, these are issues that really stand out. If you're mainly going for packaged groceries, snacks, or specific Asian ingredients, it might still be worth a trip. Wonderful grand opening experience at the Hmart in Dublin. I walked in after waiting in line for about 10-15 minutes, and I could barely walk through the store since anywhere you went, there was someone to the front, left, right and back of you at all times; that kind of experience felt exciting regardless. As for food? Plentiful Korean and Japanese ramen, delicious Korean corn dogs, and the supermarket's interior was clean as a grand opening could be. I've been waiting for an Hmart to open in my area for the longest time. I had to either drive to the one in Daly City or the one in San Jose to get my Korean ramen and other necessities for my Korean ramen--dumplings, furikake, and even gio lua (a Vietnamese pork sausage) that they even sell! Food court is big but it doesn't have more restaurants like Daly City one. Both locations are very compact. Bumping each others with cart happens very easily. Varieties of products are on shelves. One way in and one way out. I was more focus on the food so no interior to share which meant that you will have to give it a chance. Here are some of the food I experienced. The seafood soup is salty but noodles texture is good. I would recommend getting spicy version though. The potato corn dog is very good with mustard. The juice is okay not too impressed. The pastries look very good though but didn't get to try cau I was too full. Always thankful for being in Bay Area community!!! read more

We've been waiting since the pandemic and it's finally here. Avoid weekends and late afternoons and you'll be fine. It's chaotic, but to expect otherwise is silly. PRODUCE - sadly, it's not a priority here. You'll find most items but you can tell this store is catered to what's popular vs. the ahjumah shopper. And yeah, I guess I'm an ahjumah shopper now. But yeah you'll find 300 kinds of frozen dumplings and ramyeon A-Z if that's your jam. KIMCHI - Would love more choices and kimchi that wasn't ready for kimchi jjigae weeks ago. Majority is Jonga, some Im Soon Ja, and Cham. We need fresher kimchi please! DDUK - why is the selection so small and sad? :( LAYOUT - Bro. No. It doesn't matter when it's not busy but when it is, it's a nightmare and you literally feel like you can only go one way. You will wait at "intersections" to turn down the aisle only if someone lets you in. ROASTED GOGOMA - they need to move that elsewhere. It causes a back-up right at the entrance. But pretty much everything else is what you'd expect. If something is out it's because it's been endlessly busy and they'll probably restock soon. The layout of this store is confusing and inefficient. Top that with super narrow aisles crowded with boxes and ladders. Freezer section windows all fogged up from condensation. They need to work out these things and most awful is the crazy music BLASTING at full volume. Does not make for a relaxing and fun shopping experience. Stressful, loud, confusing. And I'm Korean! Finally an hmart much closer to where I live. I am a bit disappointed that this location doesn't have several items that I usually buy and the other location in the bay have I stock like the haitai ace crackers. I like the box because it contains 15 individual wrapped packets. I did not see the frozen okonomiyaki. They don't have the shin ramyun stir fry spicy beef. Which is one of my favorites. These aren't just a few of the items that they don't have here there's more, but I don't feel like writing it all down. I do like the sweet potato station they have at the entrance. I think they're steamed or baked, but they're really good. I've already been here three times in 10 days because my mom loves the Guayabas hmart sells. I came here after a month of being opened and it was still slightly crowded. I am upset that the cashier didn't tell me I could have received a free goodie if I kept my receipt and showed them outside. There was a tent and I guess they were still celebrating their grand opening. Very disappointed I missed out since I came from far, but whatever. Inside the store was nice and clean, but also no room for carts to go down the aisles. There's an entire cold section for sushi which was nice even though I don't eat the raw fish like that. They have the viral mango ice cream right now $6.99 for pack of 3. I like the "food court" aka the market because they have a good selection of food including noodles and Korean corn dogs. Nearly a month after their grand opening, we finally made it into H Mart. We drove through the parking lot once before and when we realized that parking was at a premium, we left. Today, parking was available if you were willing to walk a distance. It was interesting to see employees outside the store pulling shopping carts for incoming customers. There were plenty of them and the one we got rolled very well. Traffic flow inside the store is not customer friendly. The aisles are wide enough for two carts to pass each other without problem. The challenge is that when shopping, people tend to stop and go, stop and go. When one person stops to peruse a shelf, the aisle width is reduced to one cart width presuming the stopped customer moves over to one side. If they stop right in the middle, chaos ensues. It doesn't help that numerous stockers have their carts, hand trucks, ladders and stacks of merchandise that they're replenishing while guests are trying to maneuver throughout the store. The produce section was particularly annoying to me. Wider aisles are definitely called for here. Customers either stop their carts with complete disregard for others while trying to shop or they rush through without picking up anything because they're frustrated. We got a few things but probably would have purchased more if we hadn't felt rushed. There were also items without obvious shelf talkers, so you didn't know what the prices were. Pricing was scattered. Some items were a few cents cheaper than the competition. Other items were priced nearly 100% more. It was nice to find Pork Neck Bones at $2.99lb that I could make broth with. We love the idea of the selection. We're glad that the store appears to be successful because it gives shoppers choices. If they can figure out how to improve the traffic flow, it will be to their advantage. For me, I will not be shopping there on a regular basis. Our cashier's name was not on the receipt. Too bad too because she was fast, efficient had a great attitude. She answered all our questions with a smile. Good on her. read more

Finally made it here after weeks of seeing the long horrendous line. Parking was a pain in my butt but after 10 minutes I got a spot. Patrons are constantly coming and going. I could definitely stay in this place for hours. So much good stuff and prices were decent. Had sales on most items that I saw that were interesting. They gave a food court and a tres de jour inside. I checked out their premade hot foods for lunch since I didn't have time to sit at the food hall but I'll be back to try it. The dumplings were so yummy. Crispy still even though it was warm. I'd skip on the crab cake. No flavor but it was meaty. Grabbed some snacks too and it was fun seeing all types of stuff. Produce seemed fresh and decently priced. After so long, H-mart is now here and opened! During opening day, I drove by at 8am and there were only some cars - the line exploded by 9am and I watched it go around the building then. The staff were fairly organized despite the mass of people coming into the store with carts, chaos in every aisle and basically the entire store being a human/cart traffic jam. Some patience was definitely needed, but things flowed eventually. The store was a little smaller than I expected, but they had everything I would expect to find at a Korean market. Everything lit up brightly and very organized. I saw employees going around keeping inventory stocked up and organized. Very good first impressions. The meats and sushi/sashimi were in the back in fridges enclosed, I like that more than open ones as this would keep things cold and fresh. As for the deli foods, there was everything from kimbap to Sundae and even rice balls/triangles. My friend and I got fish cake and beef kimbap; surprisingly the rice was very bland and I don't think the rolls got the sesame oil on top of the seaweed. I vaguely remember that the SJ Hmart's kimbap has the sesame oil on top, so I'm assuming that in the rush to get food out - it was missed. With the crowd, we mostly explored the store and grabbed quite a few items that were on sale (including the mini electric hot pot kit!). The food court would be another day and all the seats were filled up quick. As for the grand opening goodies, the colander that was one of the freebies is literally my new favorite kitchen tool... it makes washing veggies and setting them down afterwards to drain a bit so easy! Final Thoughts: I am so excited to now have H-mart here now and 99 definitely doesn't have to worry as I know both stores will see me often for different items. I just don't have to drive to SJ or over the bridge for H-mart anymore :) It is also very nice that they open at 8am normally... good for early bird shoppers that want to get things done earlier in the day (aka me so I can be lazy for the rest of the day haha). read more

A few months out and the place still gets pretty hectic in terms of trying to get a parking spot. The produce area does seem a tad smaller versus like your normal Safeways or ranch 99 but there is still plenty of variety there. I will say they definitely do emphasize more towards prepared meals so grab and go kits for you to store fry, make a soup/hot pot is more readily there versus many other places especially Asian themed. I still haven't gotten any meat or seafood yet, but definitely the seafood seems to be a tad larger in terms of variety, offerings and freshness versus ranch 99. As for the dry foods/foods and frozen areas, at least imo they seem to be on par with ranch 99 and so far the prices of the sale items is a definitely a nice perk since they seem to be pretty cheap overall when it's on sale. As for the staff or mainly cashiers, they seem to be decent and friendly. The stockers at least so far have been just there to stock and remain fairly quiet and don't seem to go outside and be proactive on asking of you need help, might be partly due to the language barrier. And the place itself at least when I stop by always seem to be pretty stocked and fill..I haven't noticed any glaring open holes on the shelves or on the tables. Like thousands of others, we been waiting for this day to open for a very long time. No longer have to travel to San Jose.. It's been open for a few weeks now, in hopes that the chaotic crowd would die down, but that was not the case. Just imagine going to Costco on a Sunday peak hours with a bunch of people that has no sense of situation awareness at all. This includes starting from the parking lot into the store. It was very overwhelming grabbed a few items went to the express line which is 10 items or less. Which apparently some people don't know how to count with a butt load of items in their cart. The express line also blocks the entrance to the food court. What a horrible layout. I love all the options they have. Fave place to grab hot pot & kbbq items. Lots of options. Fresh ingredients, a ton of hot and ready meals lots of Ban chan. Parking lot is a mess. Good luck. read more

Happened to be in the area at Tommy T's ended up in Dublin and I spy H Mart... got a bit excited, but was pretty overwhelmed. I literally got there at 9:30pm. The store was buzzing, people with carts everywhere. Saw some things were on sale, some cost a little more. Overall, too many variations, too many people with big old carts, too many workers. I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet potatoes at the entrance. The heat is very good. Still hot 40 mins later, and it was delish- and healthy. I would def. Come back for the roasted sweet potatoes, I don't care for products, I find that Jalgachi is way more organized and wider area to move around. I did get my free bag tho read more

I didn't plan on going to the opening of H Mart Dublin because I know about the long lines when H Mart Daly City opened. But my husband said we should go have a look and go out for dinner afterwards if the line was too long. So we went there at 5 pm, got lucky because we got a parking spot right away, and the line wasn't that long, and it was moving pretty fast. But inside the store was a different story. Lots and lots of people, kinda like a traffic jam because of all the carts. The employees set up a system so you can move along, but some people went 2 ways instead of one way. We brought our cart back to the front and just held stuff in our arms since we didn't plan to buy much anyway, and bypassed all those carts jam. Since it's opening day, everything is well stocked, fresh and well organized. Even at 5 pm all the sections are fully stocked, no bare shelves. Lots and lots of employees everywhere, directing the flow, answering questions. Plenty of tasting stations. The prices must be on specials for opening day, seemed pretty low compared to other markets. Lots of " free gifts " , a mug if you sign up , a tote with 30$ purchase, and so on.... On the way out, there were numerous employees to check the receipts and give out the appropriate gifts. Then we went to the other side of the building for the food court. Many offerings, including the familiar Tous Les Jours, with opening specials like an umbrella with 30$ purchase or an insulated tote with 40$ purchase. The parking lot is huge, but not big enough for the crowd on opening day. I will go shop at H Mart when the hype goes down a bit. read more

Went through express check out and wanted to check out the warm food and was rudely yelled at by an employee with slicked back curly dark hair and glasses that I can't bring my cart over. Finally made it to the grand opening of H Mart in Dublin today (3/26/2026) and wow... this place absolutely delivered. First off, yes--it was packed. Like, really packed. But honestly, that just added to the energy. You could feel how long people have been waiting for this. I waited at least 5 years lol . After years of driving to Oakland or San Jose for Korean groceries, having this right here in Dublin is a huge win for us from San Ramon. The store itself is super clean, bright, and well organized. The produce section looked fresh and fully stocked, with a great selection of Asian fruits and vegetables you don't usually find at regular grocery stores or even close by Rancho 99. Meat and seafood sections were impressive too--lots of variety and everything looked fresh and high quality. The prices are comparable maybe cheaper because of the grand opening. The prepared foods and hot food area was probably my favorite. I'm getting jjajangmyun, jjampong, ttangsuyook, and 군만두 So many options--kimbap, japchae, fried chicken, banchan, soups--you name it. It honestly felt like walking into a food hall. Perfect for grabbing a quick meal or taking something home without cooking. Prices seemed fair for what you're getting, especially considering the convenience of not having to drive far anymore. And the checkout lines moved faster than I expected given the crowd. Parking is definitely something to be patient with right now, and expect crowds for a while--but that's just part of opening buzz. Overall, this is a huge addition to the Dublin and Tri valley area. Went to check out HMART during opening week and was impressed with how orderly things were in comparison to the opening of Tokyo Central. There were lots of items on sale (i.e., Korean pears, fresh coconut, mangoes, durian, etc). They were giving away a mug for downloading the app and free bag with $30 purchases while supplies last. The market was well staff, organized, and clean which made shopping here enjoyable. My only complaint is that once you head to the food hall, you can't return back to the market unless you line up again. Hopefully that's no the norm or else you have to plan accordingly. We enjoyed the food in the food hall. There was a good variety of Korean food at different price points ($ - $$). Will return again to get more groceries and prepared food. read more

As someone who lived in Koreatown for years I could not be more excited for an H Mart to open so close to me. I did not realize it was the opening weekend so it was crazy packed. But even with the crowds it was a 5 star experience. I got a bunch of freebies and they even gave 20% off all bbq meats. The seafood section was amazing. They had everything from plain tilapia to king crab. Just like other H Marts they will clean and cut any fish exactly how you request. They had so many employees that even eith the crowd I only waited a minute or two before being helped. They have a lot of pre cooked food and there is a food court just past the exit. You literally can find everything here. The frozen section is a little unorganized but it makes you pay more attention and find things you might have missed.
