Tip of blade inside food I attached to a magnet!

We got food and other groceries on 1/2. Food purchased was the Barg and another plate. As I was eating the Barg plate I noticed I was chewing on something that wasn't food. I spit the food out and realized it was the tip of a knife or blade. I had the tip of a fucking knife in my mouth! We immediately called them and spoke with an owner who said they would look into it. The next day I went in person and the other owner/manager knew nothing about it. He reluctantly gave us the money back. He took us to the back with the head chef who chuckled and said "it's just a small piece" in Farsi. Lost all trust in this place and will never spend another dollar here. Be cautious when eating their foods

3.5 stars Sahara Market is a Middle Eastern grocery store and restaurant offering an array of Afghani and Persian kebabs and other dishes. The kebabs were taken straight from the butcher counter before being grilled, and the Tikka Combination came with marinated tri-tip beef and chicken skewers, while the Koobideh Combination came with a skewer each of ground beef kebab and ground chicken kebab. However, I was an even bigger fan of the Afghani specialties including Mantu, or thin-skinned dumplings with a filling of spiced ground meat and onions, topped with yogurt, dried mint, and spiced chickpeas; and the Potato Bolani, an absolutely gigantic grilled flatbread with a filling of spiced potato between two thin layers of dough, served with a spicy green chutney and yogurt on the side. From the refrigerated counter, I also got sides of hummus (which had a distinct nutty chickpea flavor) and kashk o bademjan, a dip made of mashed eggplant and strained yogurt, both of which went nicely with the crusty flatbread that came with the kebabs. The quality and freshness of some of the items could have been better, but everything came at decent prices.

Had an awful experience today . Got some chapli chicken marinated meat, went to the restaurant area to order food to go . i paid for both in the restaurant cashier. My Mom got some other items , once she paid , i took both our items to put in the cooler in the car as our food was still being made . As i was putting the stuff in the cooler of my car . the owner comes out and tells me i didn't pay for the chapli meat . I told him why would i leave the store without paying. Then i looked at my receipt to double check & indeed I had paid. Then I proceeded to go back inside and show it but the owner now acted like he didn't want to look at it. Very disturbing and humiliating to be accused of stealing .

Menu so many things to choose from

This is such a cute little market when you walk in you have so many items to choose from from spices tease treats, bread everything then if you go into the next room, you can order food which they make fresh daily. You can see it that's being made definitely lots of little decor here and there. I was greeted by a young gentleman, gave me some offers of things that I would like to get regarding if I want chicken or beef or both the only thing I do agree with other reviewers is that I wish the plate came with rice already because it's already a little expensive for just two pieces of beef or chicken rice is really not that hard to make and they make so much of it so a plate would be better than à la carte but the flavors were there. I ordered the mixed plate half koobedeh half chicken and I did pay for the rice, but the little pieces of tadig added was delicious! Definitely recommend if you're in the neighborhood for some Persian food. It's hits the spot

Cashier young lady is crazy. She is flying on her own. She doesnt listen. I am talking to her she is playing with her phone. Terrible service. I asked well done my food was rare. Will never go back there anymore.

The best (and only) halal prepared meats I know in the area. This place has a market and a restaurant with a large spacious sitting area. They offer free wifi and friendly service. They are not too busy, so you can quickly get what you need. They have plenty of parking. This place is located on Dublin Blvd so it's easy to get to. If you order food from the restaurant, it is made to share. So expect general portions. I especially like the falafel and rice.

My recent visit to the Sahara Market was quite pleasant but unusual. The extensive array of groceries, aromatic spices, and freshly baked bread showcased the authenticity and quality of their products. The integration of a restaurant within the store added an extra layer of convenience. What took me by surprise was the peculiar but manageable business process of requiring a minimum $10 total for card transactions or else you are required to pay in cash. While it might be an inconvenience for small purchases, it also encouraged me to explore more of the store's offerings. They certainly offer an extensive selection of items so in that respect I do recommend a visit... just be sure to bring cash.

I love their halal food, a juicy grilled meat/lamb and chicken - tastes great, variety of menu options (look at it online at their site Saharasupermarket.com) and do recommend them.

The beef Koobideh, the meat tastes old or spoiled. Won't give it a second try. Rice you need to buy separate $2.99 on top of the main dish.

They have plenty of options--beef, chicken, and veggie burgers--so there's something for everyone. The shakes are definitely richer and heavier than In-N-Out's, and each one comes with a donut, which the kids loved! They also hand out stickers to children, and the burgers are served with delicious fries. If you're looking for lighter choices, they offer Brussels sprouts and salads, along with a grilled cheese sandwich. And for the adults, they even serve beer. The indoor seating area is on the smaller side, but there are lots of outdoor tables. On a nice day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside. The burgers were soft and fresh. I thought the kids' burger was a little heavy on the sauce, but that's probably something I could customize next time. Service was quick overall. My only minor feedback is that the server taking our order spoke very softly, making it a bit difficult to hear in the busy Sunday afternoon crowd.

I found this place on here about month ago and bookmarked it. Today I came here to get lunch to go. I ordered there with a staff member. I got the Cali Kid burger (w/ Angus beef), Garlic Fries, and a Chocolate Shake. The guy asked what sauce I want which I asked for his recommendation since it was my first time there. He recommended the Cali sauce, and I said "Okay, I'll go with your recommendation." I didn't know that he was going to charge me for the sauce--$.75. The total with a $1 tip came out to $27 something. Pricey!!! I waited for about 8-10 minutes til my order was ready. The chocolate shake didn't have the pretty chocolate drip like in their pictures, but it was decadent. It is better than In-n-Out's chocolate shake. The mini donut is a cute touch. The Cali Kid burger was pretty delicious, but I still like In-n-Out's Double Double a lot more still. The Garlic Fries was garlic overload. If you're super into garlic, then you might be a fan of this. After a few bites, I got tired of it. The Cali sauce was just okay. I wasn't a fan of it. The place was clean, bold, with plenty of seating indoors & out. In my bag, the gave me a fork, but no napkins. Luckily I was going to go back to the house to eat it, but it kinda sucks that they didn't give any napkins. It was nice to try, but I'll stick with my beloved In-n-Out.

Both were delicious and a nice change from some of our usual favorites. The tea leaf salad was definitely the star of the meal. It was so fresh and light, and the flavors paired really well with the heavier main dishes. I also really appreciate that they ask how spicy you want your food. That's such a nice touch, especially when you don't necessarily want your meal to come out at the standard spice level. The jasmine rice was fluffy and made a great complement to the main dishes. Everything came out hot and surprisingly quickly, even though the restaurant was busy. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. They do tend to get busy, so I definitely recommend making a reservation if you're planning to dine here.

The lamb curry had a surprisingly generous amount of meat, probably around 15 pieces, so the portion was good for $23. The lamb was tender, but it didn't have much flavor inside and had a slightly powdery texture. The potatoes were also not fully soft. It felt like the lamb, potatoes, and curry sauce were prepared separately instead of being slowly cooked together.
