This is the market I go to when I work from home and need some grocers to cook my meals but am too lazy to go far. This is an Indian Market so of course they focus on many Indian spices, ingredients and food products including snacks. But I've only gotten vegetables from this market. First of all, I'm gonna be real and say that the veggies here are definitely not the freshest you can find. In fact some of them look old, much blistered, and not perfect, but... a big "BUT" actually.... their pricing is very low, especially when you compare it with the price you pay at other big-name grocery store such as Safeway, Lucky, or 99 Ranch. So, you'd just have to know how to pick your fresh produce smartly. Certain veggies are to be avoided in this market, such as broccoli most of which has super soft stalk or garlic bulbs that are sprouting. But other veggies such as onions, cabbage, carrots, chili peppers are more than fine to get from this market. I go to this market because of its location/convenience and low prices :) read more

Passed by on our way to dinner and they were still open after we dined, so we took a peak inside. Finally found some organic mung beans without yellow coloring which we had to get. They have fresh vegetables, frozen Indian food, spices, yummy snacks, a variety of oils even castor oil, every dried bean you'd want without additives, dishes and bowls, rice, and so much more. My husband was looking for some sunflower oil but the smallest size to season his new pans. He asked the cashier who grabbed a sample size from behind the counter and gave it to him. Never get samosas from this store. They sell rotten samosas. Not once , twice this is the 3 rd time it's happening. We used to love the samosas from here in the past and so we get them. But these days they are selling rotten samosas. To the owner - please don't sell if the samosas are bad it's a health hazard for the people. read more

Small but has a nice variety of Indian staples for cooking: spice mixes, pulses, frozen items, teas. Useful when you're in the area and need just a couple of things, like frozen naan (very good) and chai mixes (great assortment!. In the Grafton Square strip mall, where Lowe's and Mayflower dim sum are located. Look for the Indian vegan restaurant Chaat Bhavan and it's across the walkway. Like all small markets, prices are a little higher. You are paying for convenience; if you want to get in your car and drive elsewhere, you are free to do so. read more

It's not about the vegetables it's about the customer service, and with these guys you're for sure going to be building a bond that will last for decades. Never have I ever been to an Indian grocery establishment where customer relations was TOP TIER. The prices might be a bit sketch but hey, what's money when you walk out feeling like you've just extended your family?? Shout out to Sabarigirish for being a fantastic employee. Literally had the worst day of my life walking into the store but because of his compassion and solid employee ethics I'll for sure come back. Good for the prices, the variety, the clean presentation, organized shelves and the smiling and helpful owner. Only advise: pl check your fresh produce daily, most friend's I recommended this place to have told me that they often grabbed a rotten vegetable! It would be great to have fresh produce every time and some more variety :) Everything else is well maintained and improving. read more

The prices are very high of regular products. The yoghurt which you would get for 4.99$ they sell here for 7.49!!! Such a rip off! Okras they sell for 3.49 a lb and regular stores sell for 1.49!! These are just examples of two really basic things. So many other things they charge premium charge for god knows what!!! read more

We happened upon this store after a late-night snack a few doors down. The gentleman working there was very friendly and helpful. For example, even though the vegetables had been put away for the night, he went into the back room and grabbed what I had been looking for (and am perpetually in the market for): fresh okra. We also bought some other groceries, including hot and tasty masala vadas, and he even let us sample them. In addition, he showed us some other items along the same lines that we had not been aware of previously. When I'm back in the area, I will definitely return, mostly due to the refreshingly excellent customer service! read more

We were not sure what it was so we asked the man if this was curry leaves. The man informed us it was curry leaves. The container of curry powder cost $2.29, but we ended up paying $3.28. After we were done paying we found out he charged us for the curry leaves even though we only ask what they were. I don't plan on coming back here. read more

I had known that this new Indian Grocery store opened in our neighborhood for last few months now. But last week someone posted in our neighborhood that their samosas are awesome. As I had pretty bad experience with New India Bazaar samosas for more than couple of times now - their potatoes had gone bad - I decided to give this place a try. I have to say their samosas blew me away! A bit on the spicy side, but crisp, fresh, and I have to say very very tasty. There was a lady who was waiting for 15 samosas. She said for her group gatherings she always takes from this place. I hope they keep up the quality of their samosas. I will keep coming back for them. Overall the store looks nice - well laid out and neatly organized. Not all the items had prices on it - so I hope they can fix that soon. I liked the produce section - the quantities they had put was not huge - but it was looking fresh and green, and looks like they had lot of varieties! The counter guy was very helpful and smiling - I don't know if he was the owner or an employee. I just hope they maintain the quality as time goes on! read more

Every time I go there for a quick trip I regret. These guys will sell certain vegetables for $5.99/lb. which is sold for $2.99/lb. a mile further west in other Indian grocery stores. They have no pricing on certain vegetables and perhpas if you not a regular visitor they will charge you anything. Watch your receipts after you pay. read more

Very clean and organized place. Enough room to move around with my cart. I went there because a friend of mine told me that this is the only place I can get some specialized leaves that we south Indians find it hard to find. The owner was very helpful and explained to me the differences between different varieties of leaves they keep. Usually they don't last long as the word is spreading about their specialized collection of south indian specialities, and more and more people are coming and grabbing it. I found their produce area to be neatly organized and fresh! They said they had some issues with the produce cooler temporarily and that it has all been sorted out now. I got some really good Indian Okra, papaya, and they even had raw fresh jackfruit! I hope they keep up with the cleaniness and continue to keep their prices low! Good luck to them! read more

This is the closest Indian grocery store for us, however we have visited this only occasionally since it opened. For one, the fresh produce does not feel that 'fresh' and the stock/variety is below average. The store is cramped. They do not carry any specialty item which would mandate the visit either. In general, the store is costlier than other stores in the area. Also, they seem to be continuously raising their prices. Their samosas went from 0.80 to 0.99 and size has probably gotten smaller too, may be they want to cash out on the demand. I wish they got it right! read more
