We feel like a sore thumb that just sticks out of the crowd. We notice a few people curiously looking and maybe wondering why a Chinese family is shopping at this Indian grocery store. I like getting the big pack of Paratha and paneer during every visit. Once in a while, we try some new sauces to make Indian dishes at home. So far, we have not been disappointed. Except for the produce section, which I think needs some minor renovation and a more thorough clean, I like the variety and quality of food that they have to offer. I may not be an expert on Indian groceries, but I sure know my Paratha and Paneer. Service at the checkout counter is fast. They have 3 counters that they keep open on a busy day. The shelves are always well stocked with lots of goodies. I just hope they do some upgrade on the produce section. read more

It's very sad to say that I was here buying sweets to take to a friend's place. I selected Nanaks Kalakand from the fridge (without doubting though these stores you need to check and recheck again to make sure). I took this to a friend's place and when they opened to eat, to our surprise it had fungus in it. It was such an embarrassing situation and a lesson learned not to shop from this store. I will highly recommend to make sure whether you buy sweets, or any other items, recheck to validate its freshness. The cashier don't want to wear a mask. They mentioned they feel suffocated and were happily checking out stuff for people after removing masks. The store gets heavily crowded specially in the vegetable section. No social distancing basically. They should improve those checkout line as the store has very less walking space. read more

Where is the negative button? Disappointing experience. They are very disorganized; they don't know where to keep things and are very rude. Basic manners if you want to run a grocery store: Keep baskets at the entrance. Don't expect customers to run around to find a basket or a cart? Are you giving free stuff here? You don't like working, why are you here? Don't pass comments right on customers back; thinking customers don't understand Telugu or some other native language you speak. What's all the hub bub about bub? I needed to pick up several Indian spices for an upcoming dinner. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with a smile by a very nice young girl. She asked me if she could help me find anything. To which I replied, "I need to get everything on my list". She looked at my list and then walked me down each of the aisles, pulling out each spice, and asked me how much of each I needed as we went. I was in and out in 10 minutes with a bag full of my necessary supplies. . . I can't say that I would want it any other way. read more

I believe Indian grocery stores remain in business inspite of their poor service as customers have no other options. Here are some most painful points : * Unlike other stores we shop at, these Indian grocery stores keep the priviledge of not displaying prices on many items. When we buy a bunch of items, it is impossible to ask the price of each item even at the counter with people waiting in line behind you. There is a huge variation in item prices too. They always have excuse for not displaying prices; but that should not be made a customers problem. * Many items cramped in tiny spaces and hard to find * Many milk based mithai items are placed on unrefrigerated shelves putting our health at risk especially during hot summer months. I have first hand experienced mithai on shelf that had gone bad. Would appreciate input from other shoppers for a better shopping experience. Honestly hope they improve! read more

If I had zero stars I would have given it. Correction: I would give them -ve stars Bought what was marketed as "fresh Indian snacks". Opened the packet at home and the oil in which it was cooked was rotten. The smell was stomach churning. I don't know how these folks are allowed to sell things like this Anyways, run way past is when I took it back to the store, they refused to acknowledge, forget about reimbursing me. I think this might be the most unorganized grocery store I have been to ever. Its - not clean - not organized - the whole grains I purchased here smell weird - The staff is NOT friendly or HELPFUL - The vegetables look everything but fresh The least the store owners can do is tidy up and dust the store once a while. Stocking up on bhindi masala, sambhar and palak paneer. The lady at the cash register is very nice. I hate to stereotype but hindus are the nicest and most gentle people around. This place is for local Indian customers but I love having ready made Indian food around my home when I want to eat healthier. This place has those packages of food that are easy to reheat and eat. Try the okra or bhindi masala with some rice. This is my favorite but my wife thinks it is too spicy for her. The sambhar soup is delicious and I ate that everyday when I traveled in India and just love this soup. Comes in those same ready to eat packages as well. Dublin is becoming more ethnic! Finally a decent Indian market close to home. This place carries Indian staples, frozen foods, snacks, sweets, and a little produce section. Lots of Indian stores around. This one is the least worth shopping at. Doesn't seem to have much order. Prices for most things are not listed. No proper description of limitations in this Covid time. I will never go back to this store. Went there today and bought bunch of groceries. Checked receipt in the car and saw that I was charged $9.99 for 100g cardamom and price listed on the shelf was 6.99. Went back inside and cashier lady calmly said price on shelf is old price. No apologies. Acted as if this is normal and went back to what she was doing. So I decided to check prices for other items I bought by comparing item prices with New India Bazar website and found that Namaste Plaza prices were 20-50% higher on many items. On top of high prices, they had one employee walking around without mask, came right next to me with no regards for social distancing. Save yourself some money and shop somewhere else. read more

Buyers be aware, before you leave the store check your receipts. The cashier charged me for some items twice and charged me for vegetables I never bought. The best part is when you go to talk to them about wrong charges they look at you like yeah right. What a dump! This place has to be the worst food store I have visited in the United States. Their products were literally spilling out of packets on the floor, with customers stepping all over the slices of bread, rice and vegetables. There is literally no room for customers to avoid the food on the floor. There is no room to walk, browse shelves shop like a normal human being. Nearly all the shelves and boxes are blackened with grime and dust where fresh food is kept. You also get stuck between the aisles. This is more than a healh hazard. The cans, jars and packets of food are piled high on top of the top shelves. One knock and they are on your head. This shop is the last place I want to be in an Earthquake. If the big one comes keep your cell phone cameras rolling, this food store will be famous all the over the world, for all the wrong reasons. They obviously want to over stock and sell old and new alike. Countless times customers are lining up betweeen lines to pay and so many times have gotten so mad with the staff and have started yelling because of the conditions. The fact is this is the only Indian grocery store in Dublin and to save on time and commute we have been left with no choice. The owners are captializing on this and so are getting away with a customer base. In reality the store should be closed by the US health and safety bureau. On the rare occassions that we do go, we do not let the kids come in for their own health and safety. Shame on you Namasta Plaza, how do you sleep at night knowing the way you are running such a business and taking everyones hard earned money? read more

The Namaste Plaza at this location is extremely cramped and disorganized. It's really hard using a cart in this store since the isles are pretty small. To the owners, Here's some free advice: Expand your store space and put some new lighting.
