This place has everything and is a legit Texas-sized grocery store. It's on par with Whole Foods, except it seems twice as big and isn't as pricy. I love the natural products selection where you can find an array of holistic medicines, natural shampoos, etc.. for the more conscious shopper. The selection of meats is amazing and the homemade tortillas are awesome. One of the best stores I've seen around the country. read more

This is one of the larger HEB's. It has a good variety of foods, and has home items as well. Not as big as some of the other HEB's., but how big does one need anyways. Close to my home and clean. read more

It's an HEB. Not sure what else there is to say. It has all the features of some of the nicer HEB's - carwash, gas station, deli, etc. I'll say it's nicer than most (especially nicer than the one by Katy Mills). Plenty of personal space when shopping and plenty of parking. read more

Have you tried their freshly baked bread??? Or Butter tortillas? Or freshly squeezed OJ?? If not, do it now!! love love love! Much more variety in this store over the regular HEB. read more

I love this HEB. Lately it's been getting crowded, but the customer service is always great and I love the selection. I eat 90% organic and HEB has a great selection of items for the health conscious and those with allergies. I also love the proximity to the Whole foods for the few specialty items I can't find at HEB. read more

We like this HEB but it is NUTS!! The added lane to enter the parking lot is pretty much useless, as almost nobody uses it. As for the actual store, it's good. It gets a little hectic on the weekend though, partly because this is the only HEB for miles. We live in Grand Mission and our only option is to drive to this HEB or Sugar Land and, just no. All in all, this is one of the better HEBs and I don't mind driving here to shop but if you're reading this HEB, please open a store in the Grand Mission area!! We need you!! read more

While the store in general is great, this review is on the pharmacy. I've been getting prescriptions refilled here for a year now. In general they're OK, BUT, after hearing all the crazy reasons why they just never have nexium in house is beyond comprehension. They only carry a 30 day supply. Incredible. I'm beyond words. I've depended on them for timely refilling and they fall short, every time without exception. I receive 90 day refills due to my work schedule which keeps me away and when they cut it back it creates issues with the doc and the insurance company not to mention my having to figure out how to refill in places where pharmacies aren't plentiful. It is incomprehensible why they would carry such a small amount of such a common drug. At least they're consistent. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

Don't get me wrong. HEB is great. The prices are very competitive and the deli offerings at this location are excellent. My only problem is that HEB always puts displays and crap in the way creating massive bottlenecks getting around the store. I just simply don't understand why they always have to block the entrance with some giant display of whatever. Such a pain to move around for such a massive store. Wake up. read more

This HEB has everything your heart desires. I would also like to inform y'all that HEB Pharmacy has some of the most affordable RXs around and are $4 generic even without insurance. This is amazing. They have a couple than are $6 & $8 but heck I'll definitely take that. At Walgreen's they were charging me $27.99/month for an RX and HEB only $8. Needless to say, I transferred all of my RXs over to HEB and have been saving a lot of money as I patiently wait for my health insurance to kick in. While I wait, I know HEB Pharmacy has my back. read more

Well it's been about 2 years don't bother nothing has changed I went in to buy some Fresh Sandwiches that have been in the case over 8 hours. When I ask for sandwiches to be made fresh they told me they couldn't so we did not have something to eat here I did tell the manager who said he would have a meeting with them which did nothing for me having dinner there I do not want anything for free I just don't want to get sick or spend money on stale old food I called the corporate office a day later they seem like they could care less as well that's fine I do not need to return here read more

My wife and I will not shop (for groceries) at any other store. The staff is friendly, the store is always clean, and they always have everything fully stocked. HEB's meal deals and prices are hard to beat. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!! I'm a Colorado resident visiting family in Katy for Christmas and I stopped in here with my cousin to buy more beer for the festivities. I tried to pick up a 12 pack from this store and they refused to sell to me because I had an out of state ID!!? I'm a legal 22 year old resident of Colorado with a perfectly valid, legal, and scannable ID and they refused to take it because they claimed it violates store policy to sell to people with out of state ID's. This is such a ridiculous policy, in all of the traveling I've done I've never encountered anything like this anywhere else. My cousin is 23 with a Texas ID and they wouldn't even sell to him since I was with him! If I wasn't 21 why would I have tried to buy it in the first place when I had him with a valid id right next to me? We ended up buying some from the liquor store next door (who gave me absolutely zero trouble about my id) and this HEB lost 2 customers for life. It's a shame too because I used to like going here when I was in town, but never again. 1/5. read more

This is one of few the HEB Plus! stores in the greater Houston area, which are based on taking a premium HEB store (Cafe on the run, sushi bar, expanded organic sections) and adding in a nicer version of a Target atmosphere. I particularly like the expanded outdoor furniture, entertainment, gaming, and electronics sections, which are aggressively priced and make getting weekend light errands done even less of a chore. read more

Really nice HEB...typical for the Plus! locations. Parking lot is CRAZY busy on the weekends!

It has everything! Clean. Big. Lots of food samples more often than other HEB. The people who prep the food samples throughout the store are friendly, helpful, sweet, nice, and very knowledgeable. The other HEB workers are very helpful and patient. When it rains very badly, there is teenage male workers near the door with umbrella offering to walk you out to your car. The sushi they make at this HEB taste better than others. read more

I am a disabled veteran that has a licenced emotional support animal. My aunt from out of town and I entered the store with my emotional support animal and was harassed and followed around the store until we left without making a purchase. It's very disappointing to have served my country honorably but not permitted to shop in my neighborhood without prejudice! read more

Great store, their #1 store. Glad to see them drop their produce prices after Whole Fools and that other scatterbrained, no parking grocery chain moved in. Here's a clue, if you think you have to go to those other stores for organics and/or antibiotic free / no preservatives food, look no more. HEB has everything you "need". This has to be the most crowded and customer unfriendly store I have ever been in. Other than the cashier that checked out our small amount of groceries, the other workers were rude and unhelpful. The aisles were crowded with some of the rudest customer I have ever seen. What a shame it is the closet to my home now that I have moved into the area, and I never want to go back. read more

I keep trying the others but this is far away the best Store in Katy. Lots of variety of foods and in stock, one of the largest sources of Organic foods I've seen. Very clean & well stocked with friendly employees hats off to this store. read more

I shop here regularly, and the staff are friendly enough. The manager is always super nice and helpful. My car did get dinged here though :0 (. Some times there aren't enough chicken wings even around 6pm at night. Also they stopped offering free cookies to my kids. It was always a nice gesture, plus we were more likely to buy some thing from the bakery. read more

This young lady was both professional and very knowledgeable and was able to address my concerns. Your Pharmacist, Dipak Bhatt, at the 6711 S. Fry Store in Katy TX was present during the transaction and was within hearing range while this young lady handled my issues expediciously. read more

I totally agree with majority of the other people here. THIS IS MY STORE! You will get everything here that you need and want and more from a grocery store. I shop here ever since they opened. None of the new stores opened were good enough to drag me out of HEB. My friends even joke that this HEB is the only reason why I don't move out of Katy! The employees here are AWESOME! I have to mention this, one day when it rain sporadically, the employees walked me and others to the car with an umbrella carrying my grocery and helped me with loading them in my car. If they haven't done that I would have been late to pick up my kids from daycare or had to run in rain or buy an umbrella from the store. I felt being very fortunate and happy to have such a good store! Even the migratory birds love HEB compared to any of the nearby grocery stores!! I guess that explains! read more

Think this is one of the great grocery chains in the US and we are lucky to have them in our community, but have one issue that seems to occur way to often. I shop here 3-4 times a week... usually in a rush.. and most often have to hunt down a small shopping cart. Carts at the end of the line r never pushed forward. Cart guys just hang out talking to each other, never moving them forward so they are convenient to find. Fix that and my review will definitely improve. read more

I can't believe that HEB just remodeled this store - I went there the other day and it looked like the same dark and drab store, other than they took out the very popular big food bar and replaced it with the ho-hum Florist.........just as awful as it was before. Marsha and the HEB Flower department (at the HEB Blooms in Katy on S. Fry Rd) were so easy to work with! They created such stunning and gorgeous flower arrangements for our wedding. They absolutely delivered exactly what we wanted. The style, color, type - everything about the arrangements - was even better than we imagined. Also, it was affordable! Who doesn't love that! This is a very interesting store. We are new to Texas so we had never been to or seem a H.E.B before. After going a few times, I really like it. It seems like each store has a little bit of a different layout, so you really need to get to know a store, to find what your looking for. This store weaves you through the produce section then lets you out to the rest of the store. The only problem is when its really busy, like a sunday afternoon. Then it like cattle. So I would recommend going during the week or better yet in the mornings. Super friendly staff, the gentlemen working at the dressing/ soups station was wonderful! We were looking for a similar Asian dressing/ sauce we'd bought while living back east, he recommended a few and even open them to let us taste! They had tones of dressings, sauces and soups. As we walked around a verity of brands had samples to taste, it lead us to buy stuff we normally wouldn't have. Which was nice. My hubby didn't enjoy the lay out, he felt like "it didn't flow". I think you get used to a layout you flow how it does. I really like this store. Tons of verity and bigger then the Krogers that is closer to us, and good prices. Oh, I also LOVED the kid carts! Taking a toddler to a grocery is a necessary evil sometimes. Kid carts that face forward that look like a race car! My toddler was in heaven, the free samples helped too! read more

A HUGE thank you to the HEB pharmacy on grand parkway in Katy Tx. Not only are they always super sweet but most recently took the time (few places do) to save me HUGE $ on my prescriptions. The total price on two meds was over $1,900. And they were able to bring it down to a little more then $288 !!!! Do I hear a collective WOW!!! . I shop at HEB's all the time, if not one of, its my favorite favorite grocery store to shop, but not so much this location. I went into this store recently with a legitimate coupon from the company Oil of Olay/P&G, and the store refused to take it, shaming me in the store, as if I had made/or produced the coupon myself. The manger took it in the office, while I stood there like I had stolen something from them, waiting to be arrested or something, saying he had to check to see if it was legit. He took a long time, so I asked for the coupon back, and left the store. But I came back the next day, with the letter that came along with the coupon from P&G, to prove it was legit, but it's a shame I had to do that, It's a shame that some of us (minorities) are still being treated as a criminal, all the way down to a coupon. I wrote the corporate office, as well as the store the incident happened in, and received No apologies, not a word from them at all, and that too is a shame. It's like when companies do things like this to others, treat people as criminals, it suppose to be OK, you shouldn't feel bad about it. The thing is, this whole incident could have gone really bad, from all the examples I've seen lately, where the police have been called on so many black individuals for innocent things just like this. I could have had my life put in danger, if I had truly gotten angry, because they refused a legitimate coupon, but of course, they feel that they did nothing wrong. read more

I like this HEB except it's way too crowded most of the day unless you go before 10am or late at night. Same with the parking situation there. However, it's 100X better and the staff much more polite then the Whole Foods across the road which charges so much higher and has rude check employees. In fact, I stopped going the Whole Foods completely now thanks to HEB. read more
