My four star rating is for Derek in the money services. I purchased a gift card last October and gifted it in November. Fast forward to January. My person reached out and could not use it. Went to the store and was told they can't help and call this number. Over 2 hours on hold back and forth only to be told to back to the store. I had all my receipts, the card and emails from Kroger corporate and the gift card company - black hawk network. At first Derek said they couldn't help. But after reading the emails and making a few phone calls, he made it right. I am so happy because I would have been out of 200.00 as I had replaced the gift card to the recipient. Thank you Derek for helping me. Long story short, lots of scams out there on gift cards but be persistent to get the resolution you deserve. Also check the gift card packaging carefully. read more

I live in Katy. My go to stores are HEB and Kroger. Kroger is easiest to get to from our house. Beware of Kroger meat department. It's not necessarily the local store. Awhile back I bought a package of pork chops. When I opened it up at home the top chop was nice, but underneath the other five pieces were not even chops. Four were 'kind of' pork steaks but mostly bone. The last one was all bone with a fringe of pork around it. Lesson learned; for pork chops I go to HEB. In the meat case my Kroger used to carry Nolan Ryan prime ribeye, they don't now, so now I buy steaks at HEB. Last straw. I bought a Heritage Farm whole chicken at Kroger because my granddaughter wanted beer can chicken for Christmas dinner. I opened the package to brine the chicken tonight, Christmas Eve, and the chicken was sliced stem to stern down one side exposing one side of the breast and the leg quarter flapping loose. If you have ever done beer can chicken you will understand the problem. It's Christmas Eve!! Have to go with it, maybe I'll try to sew the skin back together?? Lesson learned, I don't buy meat at Kroger. read more

Usually a 4 but almost have a 2 today. It was not very busy and a nice lady with maybe 8 items was in front of me waiting for the cashier who was over chatting with others and not paying attention. One of the managers was kind enough to direct him back to his cashier position. That written, he did not apolagies and made some absurd comment about his manager. I had a separator between the ladies things and mine but this cashier, pic attached, put the separator away and kept checking in my items as the ladies. He realized I was separate though was slightly rude then we had to go through what we're my items and hers for 5 minutes. He still did not apolagies or take responsibility for anything. He laughed it off. He should not be working here as he does not care and you can clearly see this and feel it. Thursday I placed a pickup order that was $117.00. Friday afternoon I retrieved my order it was less due to unavailable items. Which happens weekly. Do you think Kroger credited the difference????? Of course not. I emailed Kroger customer service. The reply was call Monday. Yesterday a female in the Caribbean with loud music playing in the background said the same. Both were unprofessional. I applied to this location recently and went to another location for the interview. Only for them to tell me,at the end of my interview, that the position I applied for was not available. Couldn't they have told me this before I wasted gas to go all the way there? Not to mention that you can still apply for that job position as it's still up in their career page. When it comes to groceries availability and quality I give this Kroger a 4 out of 5. For quickness in check outs I give them a 3 out of 5. For produce and protein freshness I give them a 4 out of 5 For customer service I give them a 5 out of 5 The have a decent floral department and a Starbucks available to purchase item to eat of drink while your shop or for when you head out. They also have an area where they have ready to eat foods along with a deli and bakery. This location has a large selection on wine and beer including craft beer. From time to time they have vendors providing a tasting which is fun. The meat and seafood selection is average. The produce section is normally very stocked however with supply chain issues that everyone is experiencing there are times items are not in stock. The pharmacy is pretty good, I use them for all my pharmacy needs. Fast and friendly As with most chain stores, they have cosmetics, toys, baby and pet items. They even have sell clothing so it can literally be a one stop shopping trip. read more

Never thought I'd be one to write a Yelp review. Dont believe these people care about your community for a second. I am incredibly poor, 20 in my account poor, but what I have I give to the ones I love. I love my animals and because of this location they will go hungry until i can find someone generous enough to donate a bag to me or God forbid pay day... I paid for my pet food. The money was taken from my account. But it's not my product... money is gone, food is in my hand, but I can't leave the store with it. I was 2 min past pick up time, making their system was inaccessible. Apparently back of the house and front of the house are two separate companies???? What a complete joke of a system. What a complete farce of a community driven company. They were unwilling to just take a note and close it out in the morning so I could feed my animals tonight. I would expect that from some place like Walmart, NOT THE PLACE THAT HANGS A PICTURE OF MY HIGH SCHOOL ON THEIR WALL!!! And to make it all just that much more frustrating they actually make you go through customer service to cancel your order. I sadly have thought of this chain as my family store since I was a child going to the hwy 6 location. Kroger sold me a sense of community, which afforded me security, and it's evident that is a complete load of garbage. I have been incredibly foolish, I will judge by merit from here on out, and know that if you gross anything like what these companies gross you don't look at me as a person. Until today I've found the staff at Kroger on Morton Ranch to be excellent and helpful. But there's an exception to every "rule" I suppose. Kroger had their ribeye roasts on sale and I planned to buy one. I was surprised to see they had only two family-sized roasts in the display case, but three huge ones, 15 lbs and up. It seemed like a good idea to get one of those since it's our favorite and it's only on sale in certain seasons. So I asked the meat cutter to please separate the bone for me, since they have the proper knives and training, and so I wouldn't butcher my own hands. The lady said no. I would have to buy if "as is". Like a used car or something. Now I wonder if the big slabs were a result of customers' interest or if someone just didn't feel like doing their job. Needless to say, I put the $120 roast back without buying any. it's ridiculous for someone to have the ability to help but refuse for the heck if it. And if that's store policy I can shop elsewhere. There are too many GOOD options where customers are still valued. read more

Messed up several of my orders in the pick up. This is the second time in a 2 month span this has happened.

This is a new Kroger and everything still has that new feel. However, the layout is still counter-intuitive. For example, I'm used to finding yogurt near the dairy case, but here it is in a completely separate aisle that is perpendicular to the cold dairy cases. If in doubt, ask a staff member and even then, they may steer you wrong. They do have a vast clothing section and even workout clothes for women! Bring your kids and pennies to ride the electric horse in the front of the cash registers after you checkout! I tried saddling up, but got a weird look from the bag boy. read more

Cool store--creepy workers. I went through self checkout line last night and the staff person who was working in that area was really creepy. She started living through my basket to see what kind of ice cream I bought! I don't like cashiers or baggers talking about my purchases, but this one was positively invasive in my space. I told her to get her paws out of my basket. This morning I called to speak to a manager and he couldn't understand the problem. He thought maybe she was just trying to be friendly! This is a new Super Kroger that has open right in my neighborhood. It is less than 2 miles from my home! I have visited on several occasions now and each visit has been great. The store is huge and not only are there groceries, there is a section for buying and tasting wine. There is also a Deli and a Starbucks inside. If you travel to the far side of the store there is a clothing section with men, women and children clothing. There is a shoe section up front and a drive thru pharmacy as well. Pretty much almost anything you need is in here. You can actually spend a few hours here shopping. The environment is very clean and organized. I really think that I have found a great place to shop! They are opening a new Super Walmart across the street so I am anxious to see if that affects the shopping here. read more

This store should be shut down. I shop here weekly and during every shopping trip, I always bump into or notice about 5-10 customers not wearing masks. Not to mention, the store is always packed and extremely overcrowded. Lines are always long and extend down the aisles. I notice that the red-vest wearing supervisors often stand around and chat with each other instead of helping out and doing their part to keep long lines at bay. I noticed that of the young supervisors, I believe her name was Faith, was standing by the windows and texting on her phone, while the cashiers and very few baggers struggled to get through the rush hour! I also notice that Kroger likes to hire children... I don't know what kind of shady business goes on here but I want no part in supporting this store. Speaking of rush hour, it never seems to end here. Every time I come in to this store, it's always extremely busy which makes social distancing impossible. Following health and safety standards, especially since we're in a pandemic, seems to be the least of the Kroger Company's worries, so long as they make their money. It seems like Kroger's management doesn't care enough to enforce mask-wearing, or maintain health and safety standards, because I'm sure they're afraid of losing business by restricting certain customers. Jacob assistant customer service leader physically reached over and touched buttons in front of me on the terminal to cancel a transaction for a money order. He claimed that I couldn't use a pin based debit card, but I was unable to find such policy on Kroger.com. Meanwhile manger Tom watched the entire experience and stated that Jacob was acting passive aggressive and will be coached. This Kroger grocery store on Morton Ranch Rd was so much more than a grocery store. My sister told me I had to visit this store. I love visiting specialty grocery stores with unique items but this store raised the bar so high!!! When I walked in, the first thing you see is Christmas decor, ornaments. It was so beautifully merchandised. I felt as if I were in a HomeGoods store. There is a Knick knack section with every holiday Knick knack you can dream of. It's an impulse shoppers paradise. They also have a full toy section, two full isles and big bens from Geoffreys Toy Box with Journey Girls dolls and other coveted items reminiscent of the old Toys R Us days. There was a full clothing section with holiday sweaters and shirts and pajamas. Everything you think you might want for the holidays was in this store. Oh yeah and they had grocery too. I felt like I was in in a Buc Cees/HomeGoods, Hobby Lobby and Toys r us all rolled up into one store. read more

I was so happy to find out that they were building a Kroger close to home! When you walk in, it is so grand that you could easily get lost in here. There is almost no cell service in there so you wont be taking too many calls in there. The food is OK. I went to try some of the Asian food and was quite disappointed. The chicken, rice, and spring rolls were mediocre. The sushi was better, but if you're looking for a quick fix and haven't had "real" Asian food...this will do. I also ordered two sandwiches and they were great! Although, this Kroger is HUGE I was quite surprised to realize they were lacking so much and had to go to HEB off of Fry Rd. for some stuff that is on my families reoccurring grocery list. For example, smoked turkey pieces, turkey drumsticks, Hawaiian punch Kool-Aid singles, certain marinades, and seasoning packets. So even though I'm happy this Kroger is near, looks like I'll be going to HEB more often than I wished. read more

Horrible service at the butcher and deli department. I've always gone to Kroger as well as other nice grocery stores, including Albertsons, HyVee, Tom Thumb, Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc. and this is by far the worst service I've ever had. Even Aldi's, Country Mart, and Walmart have been better. I've never had such bad service at a Kroger before and I love shopping there. The lady at the butcher counter was very rude, took forever to take my order (there weren't any other costumers around and she didn't appear to be doing anything at all), and then when she finally came to take my order she said she couldn't fill my order. I ordered (well I tried to) simple chicken breast and requested that it be cut and trimmed. Every place I've ever gone has always been able to do this for me. I even told her she could weight the chicken breast before trimming it if she needed to, but she refused to do her job and fill my order. I also ordered Boar's Head Blackforest ham only to end up with some smokehouse flavor which I didn't order from the deli. If they didn't have what I wanted they should have told me or suggested something instead of giving me something I didn't order. The stock workers who were restocking the shelves as well as the cashier were super friendly and nice like they should be. read more

Just encountered the rudest cashier at This Kroger! Kroger you need to do a better Job at reminding your employees they should be thankful they have a job! And make sure you've got big signs that say only two packages of hamburger! does that mean two small packages two big packages because I was buying the very expensive smaller packages of hamburger and she took two of my packages and threw them to the side and said I couldn't get them. Our go to grocery store. This store is huge and has a sushi counter, deli, pre made meals, clothing, home goods and a pharmacy. Things always ring up correctly, tons of lanes open usually, decent amount of self check outs. The checkers are usually pretty friendly and no issues. When meat is on sale they keep replenishing it unlike other Kroger's were they leave it empty so you are SOL unless you get there early. read more
