Performance for LNY
David P.

H-Mart is a cornerstone of Asian grocery stores. This one is exceptionally popular, being a prime store for Katy and forming the centerpoint for the booming Katy Asia Town. On a given weekend, it's often very full and I've had to go so far as to park towards the mall nearby and walk over. This was especially true during the recent Lunar New Year weekend, where they had performances going on outside the store with lion dancers. It's awesome how much they engage with the community. They're usually well stocked and lines move fast.

I complain a lot about not having good Asian restaurants and markets around my Texas town. Several friends told me that a trip to H Mart would satisfy my desire for authentic Korean dishes. It was an Asian food Disneyland for me! Every banchan that I've been craving for the last 4 years is ready made (delicious!!) and available at H Mart. I was also able to purchase my favorite Korean soup (Sundubu-jjigae). They have everything you need if you cook from scratch and available to buy already made if you don't. The store was very organized and clean. Next H Mart stop will be the one in Austin!

Donkatsu Sando $8.99 1/5 stars. Taste horrible, had to throw away. Coleslaw was sweet to did mix well with friend pork. Bad combination

I really like H-Mart at the Katy Asian Town location because it bigger and newer. The food court is good and I always like to go the pre-made food towards the back by the food court. I feel the pre-made ready to go food is better at this location for some reason. I pick up the Spicy Pork Bap $7.99 4/5 stars. Soy Garlic Chicken $8.99 4/5 stars (the was juicy not dry). Donkatsu Sando $8.99 0/5 stars. The coleslaw was sweet and the fried pork was rubbery. I only ate 1/2 of the 1/2 and threw it away. If I'm in the area I do grocery shopping here for the convenience.

So many choices!!

Wow! What a selection! There was so much to look at down each isle. The breadth of assortment was truly impressive! The service was great and I had no issue finding someone to ask when I had questions. Also check-out was a total breeze! The vibe here is very positive. I felt like everyone was having a great time picking up groceries, checking out the k-pop shop in the front, and chatting over the fresh produce. Everything felt very clean and organized, just the way I like it. I highly recommend!

What can I say about H Mart that has not already been said? I love this place. I like grocery stores in general, but this is an Asian grocery store that has pretty much anything you'd to want to find. They have a large variety of vegetables and fruits that are usually dont see at other grocery stores, and reasonable prices, which is always a great reason to go to an Asian store. They have lots of halal noodles options, which is most of the reason why I come here. They have a huge variety of noodles in general. They also have lots of different types of teas, kimchi, and canned boba, and even kitchen gadgets. When you enter, on the right side of the store, there are lots of fun trinkets, especially if your family is Sanrio lovers like ours. They also have lots of Korean skin care that is easily accessible right up front. I've always wanted to go to the section of the food court, and try about the cao bao buns, but those places close earlier than the grocery store, and have yet to try it out-- but it just gives me another reason for me to come back!

While shopping here, I felt like I was in Thailand doing grocery shopping, lol. This was a very nice Asian market. One of the customers gave me some great vegetarian ideas. I'm not a vegetarian, but I do like to eat vegan/vegetarian foods. The aisles were nicely arranged, and the staff was helpful. I really liked that there was not a bad smell in this market. I bought some groceries to make some Ramen noodles and when I got home I made it and everything was good. The sausage I brought from here were a bit too sweet to be added in the rain noodles. I do plan to use the rest of them with breakfast since most breakfast foods are sweet. The crab paste is tasteful, and I will be using it when I do a crab boil. My son brought items to make Pad Thai. We both said we will be going there again. The minor issue was there was less space on the aisles due to staff putting items on the shelfs with lots of boxes on the aisles.

Great packaged snacks but selling rotten fruit is not cool. I just got mango's and drove to the Katy HCC and within a few mins it smells gross. It was covered with a sticker so I couldn't see the discoloration on the mangos. When the package was opened it smelled weird. Took a tiny bite on the area that was normal colored and it tasted weird and bubbly. Like it was soaked in seltzer water or something

We were in the Katy area and had to make a stop at H-Mart to try out their premade foods and restock on groceries, such as coconut milk. It's really fun and there's so much variety of food here. However, not everything is delicious, IMO. We tried a bunch of foods, which doesn't even scratch the surface of what you can get here. But, here's a breakdown of what we think were worth trying and those that were not: - gimbap: absolutely worth it. Love all the veggies in this and the touch of sesame oil. - japchae: great texture from the noodles and veggies; nice sesame oil flavor throughout. - tuna mayo onigiri: this was pretty good. We enjoyed the vinegary rice with the tuna and mayo. The seaweed wrapper remained crispy. But, it was just humbug to open the package. - spicy sauce and soy garlic fried chicken: we didn't like this. It was too sweet, and the texture of the chicken was rubbery. - dumplings: too doughy, the filling was good. - veggie egg roll: not crispy, flavor was just ok - premade tteokbokki: flavor was pretty good. It was spicy. - frozen crazy spicy tteokbokki: TBD - premade spam musubi: TBD Overall, Hmart is such a fun grocery store to try out all kinds of Asian foods. If you've never been to an Hmart before, check them out and have fun exploring all kinds of foods and ingredients.

I'm not that S-mart but I know a K-mart when I see them, and this is not one of those. This is an H-mart. Not to be confused with your mother's painting store (Momart). Yes. H Mart. Not to be confused with Ache Mart which is where you buy painkillers. If they welcomed you at the door (they don't) it'd be Hello Mart. If they sold slutty shoes for my porn girl (they don't) they'd be Heel Mart. If they sold devilish kinky accessories for my sinful girl (they don't) then they'd be Hell Mart. This is the H Mart in Katy, and it is one which we go to regularly when we visit Katy Asian Town, because it has one of the best food courts in the whole of the Houston region. It's filled with really delicious options which are a little on the expensive side but very exciting. The grocery store part of H Mart is great, filled with international imports, perhaps a little expensive but one of the best places out there to shop. However, it's the food court that keeps us coming back. Whether you have a Tooth H or a Tummy H, you can find something to make you feel better here at H Mart. Also, did you know, Jesus H. Mart was a guy that founded a bunch of grocery stores which are now loved and followed religiously in NJ and other places.

H Mart is located in Katy Chinatown- Colonial Pkwy and SH 99 next door to many restaurants and the freestanding JCPenney. There is ample parking in the front. The store is clean and well lit with signage throughout. Friendly staff and so many aisles of neatly stocked products that you will surely become engrossed in.

Hi I was wondering if this location had sushi grade fish?

Yes they do!

Do they have a public restroom?

Yes, they have public restrooms located in the back corner of the store by the food court.

With all that's going on right now with the virus, are the restaurants inside the food court area closed?

Will they filet a whole fish for you? Does it cost extra if yes?

Do they take Apple Pay?

Yes

What are their store hours?

8am to 10 pm

I had an extremely poor curbside experience at this location…read more I placed a curbside order scheduled for pickup between 1-2 PM. At 9:00 AM, the app showed my order as "ready" and indicated that my organic whole milk had been substituted, but it did not list what the substitution was. I also realized I needed to add one more item, so I attempted to call the store. I called the store over 10 times throughout the morning and no one answered. Because the order showed as ready, I went to the store to pick it up. Upon arrival, I again called curbside -- no answer. I was forced to go inside, which defeats the entire purpose of curbside pickup. The store was nearly empty of customers. Several employees were standing around; one was eating. I spoke to a person who appeared to be a manager and explained that I had been calling all morning with no response. There was no apology or urgency. I was directed to another employee who appeared confused by the order. When I asked what my milk had been substituted with, I was told 2% milk, which made no sense given that I ordered whole milk. When I asked why it wasn't substituted with another whole milk, there was no explanation. I was then told that whole milk was out of stock. I personally went to the milk section and found the shelf fully stocked with whole milk. I brought it back and showed the employee. He said it "must have just been restocked," yet no one had bothered to check before making the substitution. I was then told that nothing could be changed or added to my order, and that if I wanted additional items I would need to place an entirely new order -- while standing in an almost empty store. At that point, I was told I could place another order and the employee could shop it, which completely defeats the purpose of curbside pickup. I paid over $140 for a small order, received incorrect substitutions, could not reach anyone by phone, had to walk into the store anyway, and still could not get basic service or flexibility. For the prices Sprouts charges, this level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. I will not be shopping at Sprouts again.

Raw meat packaged here seems to last longer than other markets. Sandwiches made on the spot. Good for lunchtime. I remember I used to go for this during lunchtime from my hometown. What I don't see from Spouts anymore, or any Sprouts are the self serve hot soups. When it comes to produce and veggies, these cost a little more or sometimes the same price as HEB. But Sprouts' interior design looks much better than HEB.

Went to the store and was told they can't help and call this number. Over 2 hours on hold back and forth only to be told to back to the store. I had all my receipts, the card and emails from Kroger corporate and the gift card company - black hawk network. At first Derek said they couldn't help. But after reading the emails and making a few phone calls, he made it right. I am so happy because I would have been out of 200.00 as I had replaced the gift card to the recipient. Thank you Derek for helping me. Long story short, lots of scams out there on gift cards but be persistent to get the resolution you deserve. Also check the gift card packaging carefully.

I live in Katy. My go to stores are HEB and Kroger. Kroger is easiest to get to from our house…read more Beware of Kroger meat department. It's not necessarily the local store. Awhile back I bought a package of pork chops. When I opened it up at home the top chop was nice, but underneath the other five pieces were not even chops. Four were 'kind of' pork steaks but mostly bone. The last one was all bone with a fringe of pork around it. Lesson learned; for pork chops I go to HEB. In the meat case my Kroger used to carry Nolan Ryan prime ribeye, they don't now, so now I buy steaks at HEB. Last straw. I bought a Heritage Farm whole chicken at Kroger because my granddaughter wanted beer can chicken for Christmas dinner. I opened the package to brine the chicken tonight, Christmas Eve, and the chicken was sliced stem to stern down one side exposing one side of the breast and the leg quarter flapping loose. If you have ever done beer can chicken you will understand the problem. It's Christmas Eve!! Have to go with it, maybe I'll try to sew the skin back together?? Lesson learned, I don't buy meat at Kroger.
