This review is specifically for the pharmacy at the Kroger/Spring Green store in Katy. Man...what the hell. I have just had my latest pharmacy-related irksome experience, and I am usually one of the most understanding, undemanding customers out there. I had a scrip refill last weekend. It was VERY IMPORTANT, and I truly needed it. Like, desperately. Got to the pharmacy not long after the ER physician prescribed it, only to be told it was unavailable because the pharmacy cut the wrong dose. This was right before they closed for the day, of course. Too bad for me! No meds. The following day: No meds. Day 3. No meds. I gave up. Today--EIGHT days later--I went to the drive-through to get the original scrip. Got told it WASN'T READY, and could I spin around? Ten minutes, she said. I spun around. ‍ Got pharmacy employee #2 on the next try. (We're up to 5 tries, if you're counting.) Gave her my name and DOB. She looked at her screen and flatly said: "We don't have that." My brain imploded. I turned my car off and politely--but dead-seriously--said...Thanks, I'll wait. And I did. I should have done that in the first place, but I was too sick at the time. Suddenly white coats are buzzing around. Pharmacist gets on the horn to ask if I had any questions...oh, honey, I sure did. But I left them unsaid. He was gone before I finished saying, No thanks. Employee #2 came back and I put my cards in the drawer...she slammed it so hard my windows rattled, like I'd put HER out by having the temerity to wait for my stuff. A moment later I finally had my long-lost prescription. I thanked her...got next to no response. I do not ask much from a pharmacy (or anything public, really) these days. I do not expect much. But this? I'm done. Is it just me, or is 8 days to fill an ER-visit prescription insane? read more

If you ever need a quick grocery stop, this is your place! It's not too crowded so going in and out is a breeze. Also it has all the necessities therefore it's not like you will not get everything you need. I came here Christmas morning with the fear of the crowd but it was perfect. Most Kroger stores are well managed. The store on spring green in Katy Tx. has very poor front of store customer service.

I hope you have some better understanding in catering to customers, if you're prejudice, disgruntled by assisting customers then do not work in a customer facing job. I also stress you establish better understanding of Texas local laws regarding the purchase of alcohol to patrons who are obviously over 21. I will not shop here again, due to poor customer service, it might not make a difference to a hourly wage employee but to Whoever cares at Kroger and as a corp you missed out on thousands that I potentially would've otherwise spent at your store. read more

Doing this as a contrast in service that I received from Kroger vs HEB. I went to Kroger to buy one item and could not decide between this one or that one. I asked the cashier to do a price check on both items so that I could decide between the two. I was taken back when the Cashier Amanda told me to do it myself. She said there is a scanner back there and you can do it. I had to ask again and she refused pointing me back to the scanner. WOW. I either attribute this to extreme laziness, the discrimination against a senior citizen or that the cashiers are union and don't care. I talked to the manager, no help in my opinion. Didn't ask if they could resolve the issue or anything. Extremely poor customer service here. Compared to this at HEB I go to HEB with three visually impaired folks on a monthly basis. They go out of their way to help even going so far as to open a lane just for them. HEB gets 5 stars in my book. Kroger would be a zero if that was possible. I can see from the negative comments that this seems to be a common theme and can not with good conscience recommend them. read more

This is a new store so obviously everything is clean new and tidy. They even have a small bar and Starbucks. I have always been greeted in each area and if I am looking for something they not only tell you what isle it's on but walk you directly to the product so you are not wandering the isle looking for it. So why not 5 stars? Lets just say I have had some of the best checkout people there and some that you wonder how they figured out how to make it through the front door. One of which was so bad I almost dropped my rating to 3 stars but I don't think one person should bring down the hard work of others. Horrible service at this Kroger. Sharon, the store manager, was an absolute nightmare..!! She was yelling loudly at a store employee in the middle of the checkout aisle over something so little..!! She was rude and disgusting..! No professionalism and handled the situation very poorly..! She definitely needs to be replaced because I see the store losing customers and being run poorly. This Kroger used to be nice and friendly, and over the last few years has really gone downhill fast..!! They need to take a look at their upper management - because this is where the problem lies.!! I normally love shopping here. Produce is fresh and usually people are really friendly. The checkout lady today was super cranky Halal or something similar was her name. I realize it's hard to work in front of people right now but a bit of chitchat and friendly demeanor goes a long way. read more

This is the most dirty Kroger I have ever been to, the store sells spoiled items, the store is dusty as heck, the management admits that the store is falling apart, the cashiers have no personality and they never have food on the shelves, their is flies everywhere. I'm going to apply to be a manager because that place is in desperate need of help and I'm going to take my ocd mom along because she almost fainted seeing that place , that' store is filled with bacteria. My husband bought me a very pretty flower arrangement for Mother's Day. Before I even got home to see it, the vase cracked and busted sitting on our counter. Water went all over the card he had beside it and on the floor and carpet. Called the store and the employee even mentioned they worked in the floral department and a vase had busted while filling it with water. She stated to bring in the receipt and pictures for a refund. My husband brought the receipt to the Kroger near our house and the manager stated he had to go to the kroger he purchased the arrangement at. Took the receipt and pictures and the manager on duty gave us $10 for the vase that broke even though the flowers died since wr didnt have another vase to accomodate the flowers. Very disappointed on how we were treated and dont plan on shopping at Kroger in the future. read more

I am not sure why there has been such a large turn over recently, but the pharmacy has lost their competent people. We really miss the two gentleman working here, and if we knew where they left to - we would certainly follow. One day we are told the script did not make it to their office. Now we are told our insurance is not processing, they are closing and cannot call. Then we are told they have the script filled and ready. We arrive, and they have ordered the script for the next day. As we speak to the pharmacist, she's texting someone else on her phone. Now in the market for a new pharmacy. read more

Such a disappointing Kroger's. I've been a preferred customer for 30 yrs. I've recently Moved to Katy and the Kroger on spring green is my store. The rotisserie chicken is always only half browned Every. Single.time!! It's cooked but who wants white skin on a Cooked chicken???That is caused by stacking to close together. Stop it. Yesterday by 12:30 they were sold out and they aren't ready till 11:00? Make more!! Haven't stocked fresh fettuccine in three months. Just linguine, every single week. I have to go to HEB to get my coffee and refried beans. Y'all don't carry the good stuff. At the deli I asked for 1/2 lb of roast beef. She sliced Up a whole pound and it literally took 16 Minutes to do it. I bought it; 12$ worth because I was Pressed for time. but I'm single and who can eat that much roast beef before it goes bad? I Couldn't. Picked up a container of Kroger shaved parmesan and when I got home it was moldy. No expiration date on container anywhere. Two checkers yesterday for the entire store. Why should the lines be so long when you can plainly see employees milling around. No one rounds up the carts all day long. I've gone in at 4:00 and all small carts are in the parking lot. None, not a one is in the store. They won't go round them up until they are "all" in parking lot and then you have to complain. This is systemic and not a one time issue. Everything I mentioned is reoccurring daily. This store is very poorly managed. read more

This brand-new Kroger's is the best one I've ever been in. Large, spacious, less than two months old, it's a pleasure to shop here. The aisles are wide. The Floral Department is great. They have lots of Christmas evergreens out front -- little Norfolk pines, regular pine trees, etc. There are ample LITTLE carts. And helpful. The store is well-staffed, and all the people I encountered were so helpful. I mentioned to one this was my first time in the store, and he went over and got a store "map" so I could find what I was looking for. There is everything here, from cards, gifts, school supplies, seasonal decorations, etc. The deli has a delightful dine-in/seating area that is cozy, pleasant. Now, I have to include the bathroom review: it was clean, well-stocked. This store is a winner! read more

Terrible. Went there tonight. I'm having surgery in 2 weeks and wanted to wipe down the cart. Was told by George no wipes. Went up to the front desk and the girl said they were on the other side. I'm handicapped and had to walk all the way over. When I came back to the front desk and asked for the corporate phone number she couldn't find it and told me she was going to have George get it. When I walked out and looked at his name tag he said can I help you. I said I'm calling corporate. There were 4 people up front just talking and could care less about helping customers. We went here last night around 10pm. The only lanes they had open were self checkout. Had I have known that before filling an entire grocery basket and 2 small kid carts with items I would have left and gone to HEB. It took over 30 minutes to complete the checkout process bc the attendant was more concerned with helping everyone else that walked up rather than finishing up with us. We had to have her override every time we filled a couple of bags so that we could put them in the basket and continue checking out the rest of our items. An older woman by the name of "Pat" was working and was by far the most unfriendly woman I've ever encountered! She made me feel like her being there was an inconvenience to her and she wasn't willing to help let alone smile. Not a smile or friendly comment out of her the entire time we were there. 3 screaming kids and $150 later and I had my last shopping experience at Kroger. Won't go back. Unimpressed. I remain an HEB shopper. read more

This Kroger used to be excellent until they opened up a new one on 1463. I wonder what will happen when they open up another near Tompkins............. Went there yesterday to order a cake for my wife's birthday. Waited at the bakery for about 5 minutes before a Kroger person walked by. He wasn't a bakery worker but he paged for help ............. three times .... after now another 5 minutes, a different employee ... maybe a manger came over to help. He too wasn't knowledgeable but he tried to help. He couldn't find the order forms so he had me write what I wanted on a piece of paper. When I left, it was over 20 minutes at the counter and still no 'real' bakery help. With pick up this afternoon and the trouble yesterday, I called the bakery to confirm the order. Surprise, surprise ........they did not have the order. At this point, I had to re-order .......... hopefully, it is there tonight. At least, the order was taken by someone who works in bakery........... read more
