This review is specifically for the pharmacy at the Kroger/Spring Green store in Katy. Man...what the hell. I have just had my latest pharmacy-related irksome experience, and I am usually one of the most understanding, undemanding customers out there. I had a scrip refill last weekend. It was VERY IMPORTANT, and I truly needed it. Like, desperately. Got to the pharmacy not long after the ER physician prescribed it, only to be told it was unavailable because the pharmacy cut the wrong dose. This was right before they closed for the day, of course. Too bad for me! No meds. The following day: No meds. Day 3. No meds. I gave up. Today--EIGHT days later--I went to the drive-through to get the original scrip. Got told it WASN'T READY, and could I spin around? Ten minutes, she said. I spun around. ‍ Got pharmacy employee #2 on the next try. (We're up to 5 tries, if you're counting.) Gave her my name and DOB. She looked at her screen and flatly said: "We don't have that." My brain imploded. I turned my car off and politely--but dead-seriously--said...Thanks, I'll wait. And I did. I should have done that in the first place, but I was too sick at the time. Suddenly white coats are buzzing around. Pharmacist gets on the horn to ask if I had any questions...oh, honey, I sure did. But I left them unsaid. He was gone before I finished saying, No thanks. Employee #2 came back and I put my cards in the drawer...she slammed it so hard my windows rattled, like I'd put HER out by having the temerity to wait for my stuff. A moment later I finally had my long-lost prescription. I thanked her...got next to no response. I do not ask much from a pharmacy (or anything public, really) these days. I do not expect much. But this? I'm done. Is it just me, or is 8 days to fill an ER-visit prescription insane?

Most Kroger stores are well managed. The store on spring green in Katy Tx. has very poor front of store customer service.

I had an extremely poor curbside experience at this location…read more I placed a curbside order scheduled for pickup between 1-2 PM. At 9:00 AM, the app showed my order as "ready" and indicated that my organic whole milk had been substituted, but it did not list what the substitution was. I also realized I needed to add one more item, so I attempted to call the store. I called the store over 10 times throughout the morning and no one answered. Because the order showed as ready, I went to the store to pick it up. Upon arrival, I again called curbside -- no answer. I was forced to go inside, which defeats the entire purpose of curbside pickup. The store was nearly empty of customers. Several employees were standing around; one was eating. I spoke to a person who appeared to be a manager and explained that I had been calling all morning with no response. There was no apology or urgency. I was directed to another employee who appeared confused by the order. When I asked what my milk had been substituted with, I was told 2% milk, which made no sense given that I ordered whole milk. When I asked why it wasn't substituted with another whole milk, there was no explanation. I was then told that whole milk was out of stock. I personally went to the milk section and found the shelf fully stocked with whole milk. I brought it back and showed the employee. He said it "must have just been restocked," yet no one had bothered to check before making the substitution. I was then told that nothing could be changed or added to my order, and that if I wanted additional items I would need to place an entirely new order -- while standing in an almost empty store. At that point, I was told I could place another order and the employee could shop it, which completely defeats the purpose of curbside pickup. I paid over $140 for a small order, received incorrect substitutions, could not reach anyone by phone, had to walk into the store anyway, and still could not get basic service or flexibility. For the prices Sprouts charges, this level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. I will not be shopping at Sprouts again.

Raw meat packaged here seems to last longer than other markets. Sandwiches made on the spot. Good for lunchtime. I remember I used to go for this during lunchtime from my hometown. What I don't see from Spouts anymore, or any Sprouts are the self serve hot soups. When it comes to produce and veggies, these cost a little more or sometimes the same price as HEB. But Sprouts' interior design looks much better than HEB.

My four star rating is for Derek in the money services. I purchased a gift card last October and…read moregifted it in November. Fast forward to January. My person reached out and could not use it. Went to the store and was told they can't help and call this number. Over 2 hours on hold back and forth only to be told to back to the store. I had all my receipts, the card and emails from Kroger corporate and the gift card company - black hawk network. At first Derek said they couldn't help. But after reading the emails and making a few phone calls, he made it right. I am so happy because I would have been out of 200.00 as I had replaced the gift card to the recipient. Thank you Derek for helping me. Long story short, lots of scams out there on gift cards but be persistent to get the resolution you deserve. Also check the gift card packaging carefully.

I live in Katy. My go to stores are HEB and Kroger. Kroger is easiest to get to from our house…read more Beware of Kroger meat department. It's not necessarily the local store. Awhile back I bought a package of pork chops. When I opened it up at home the top chop was nice, but underneath the other five pieces were not even chops. Four were 'kind of' pork steaks but mostly bone. The last one was all bone with a fringe of pork around it. Lesson learned; for pork chops I go to HEB. In the meat case my Kroger used to carry Nolan Ryan prime ribeye, they don't now, so now I buy steaks at HEB. Last straw. I bought a Heritage Farm whole chicken at Kroger because my granddaughter wanted beer can chicken for Christmas dinner. I opened the package to brine the chicken tonight, Christmas Eve, and the chicken was sliced stem to stern down one side exposing one side of the breast and the leg quarter flapping loose. If you have ever done beer can chicken you will understand the problem. It's Christmas Eve!! Have to go with it, maybe I'll try to sew the skin back together?? Lesson learned, I don't buy meat at Kroger.
