I think things have vastly improved over the last two years. The pharmacy is running much more efficiently. The staff a great.

It stings to leave a 1 star on the store I used to work at. But... Out of 5 medications I'm on. I put in 5 refills nearly a week ago. I got a series of hangup calls today from them. Tried calling back, nobody could figure out why. Everything was supposed to be ready yesterday. Showed up today. Not only is nothing ready, but they only have an idea of when ONE medication will be in. They're out of the rest company wide. I'm done. I've been out of two very important meds for two days now, and risking seizures at this point. Just going to transfer everything to Costco. The new app is also terrible, it won't pull up anything that's on file (i.e. an extra sent by the Dr instead of the original being sent with refills). I have to call and hope I get through to someone competent enough to look up an on-file rx. read more

Scheduled my drive back to Houston around being at the pharmacy around 8 because I knew it would be open before noon on thanksgiving. It was closed all day despite the sign on the window. Do better H‑E‑B staff I'm taking my business elsewhere read more

I have been using this pharma since Fall of 2014. And this year is the first year I can honestly say, I will NOT use them any longer. Since Jan 2023, I have had 6 interactions with them for my script refill each month. The Jan was delayed because of "product" distribution delay, which supposedly started in Nov of 2022. Thus Feb, Mar, Apr, and May, I have had to use 4 different pharmas to receive my scripts as they no longer carry the script I need. Apparently, because each store can only order certain types of this medication, and each store only buys a specific amount of this type of medication... I was told this store has not been able to meet the allowable "allocation" amount of distribution orders. Therefore, they cannot fill my scripts. This forces me and my pain management provider to jump through hoops to get a script from neighboring HEB pharma's who can, and do, order enough of this product still. This most recent experience at the end of May, forced my doctors office to send a script to a store which couldn't fill the script completely. They clearly have an online system to know how much is available at neighboring stores, yet they let my doctor send a script to a store that could not fill it and thus I would have to re-script in 23 days, all while paying full co-pay cost for a partial script. This was done on a holiday weekend where I was force to go without doses until I could resend a script to yet a diff store, which has the full amount available. It took five months for a semi-explanation about these "distribution" problems, and the pharmacist (that day) recommended I use another pharmacy from now on. As they would apparently not be able to fill this script any longer. If there is a way to describe completely bad communication from a large chain pharma any better, I don't think I can. read more

Great pharmacy. Never had an issue picking up my medications here. A great place to get flu shot or other vaccines if required. Easy access within the store with option to use the drive-thru pharmacy if you are in a hurry or do not want to park your car and go into the store. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. On multiple occasions, I've called in my prescriptions well over 3-5 days in advance and they're NEVER ready on time. The workers keep saying that they're out of my medications and there isn't anything they can do about it. This is one of the worst managed pharmacies I've EVER been to. Just like other people have said, long lines and rude/horrible customer service and meds aren't ready whenever they're supposed to be. I know without a doubt I'm not the only one who takes medications daily and can't go without meds. I'll definitely be switching whenever I get a new PCP and new prescriptions. I'm so disappointed in H‑E‑B for allowing this to continue. I grocery shop at H‑E‑B all the time, and that part is wonderful, but NOT the pharmacy. Please, please, please DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MEDICATIONS! read more

FIND ANOTHER PHARMACY if you're looking to have an accurate, on-time prescription. I tend to order my prescriptions through the HEB Rx app. That process is ok, but it needs CONSIDERABLE work. The regular excuse I get is that the app isn't very good. Duh! Then don't put it out there! The biggest problem is that it will allow you to select a date by which you can pick up the prescriptions, but that is hardly ever correct. I have learned to request the latest time possible to pick up my prescriptions, but still there will be one missing or "ordered." My last time I was told the prescription was "on order" and would be ready the next day, but if I needed it they could still get it done the day I asked for it. That tells me that they have the drug, but they're making an excuse not to get it done on the day it was promised! Basically I'm being lied to. Something else the app does is automatically enroll you in an auto-refill program if you're not careful. It has done that to me more than once, and I just have to let the prescription sit there because I'm not ready for it. Then I get an email that the medication has put back into their supplies, which is fine with me because I never ordered it! When I am notified about prescriptions being ready, it comes piecemeal. Bad process. If one or two prescriptions are ready, that would imply to most people that ALL are ready -- which is never the case. Again, at least one or two are never ready when they say they will be. I gave my feedback to a general manager at that store, and they said they would have someone contact me. I'm not surprised no one ever did do that. If this wasn't the HEB I shopped at regularly for groceries I would never return here for my prescriptions. Then again I should consider going to a CVS that's right across the street from me. I am not surprised at the low average number of stars this place gets. The staff have always been nice enough. I do need to say that. But it's not enough to save this pharmacy from the mediocrity of its service. read more

I've never been to a worst place. Not even a McDonald's. We've been here three times and never waited less than an hour. The pharmacist told us 20 minutes and then immediately went on lunch. I found this out when I went to check on my prescription 30 minutes later and they told me he was on his lunch break. I'm all for you taking a break, but at least tell me it'll be an hour or an hour and half rather than playing this guessing game. I didn't think a pharmacy could be so bad, but this place is the absolute worst. I'd give it zero stars if I could. One time we waited almost two hours for them to fill a prescription and every time we asked all they'd say is "just a few more minutes". read more

Real bad customer service here and long lines. It's very surprising since H-E-B is usually on point with its customer service. Will not be using this pharmacy again. read more

Worst Drive-thru ever. SUPER SLOW. They treat you like a third rate person when using it. Might as well walk inside. I feel bad for any elderly needing the convenience. They really need to fix this system and make it more efficient. read more

This is by far the slowest and most inefficient pharmacy in town. They simply don't care if you wait an hour.

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst pharmacy ever. When medication is called in they won't have it ready for 2-4 days. When I call to check on the status of my medication they ALWAYS say " we are working on it right now it will be ready shortly." Then when I come in the next day for my medication it hasn't been worked on yet. This has happened every single time I pick up a medication for myself or my husband. I've been told to pull around the drive thru again and let other cars go ahead of me while they work on my prescription causing me to wait an hour or longer. Every person I speak to tells me something different every single time. Don't trust them to contact your doctor for refills. And don't bother signing up for the text notifications. They never send me notice to let me know when my prescriptions are ready when they REALLY need to because you can't trust their word of mouth. They often tell me they will call when it's ready as well. I have never received a call. I have never had such horrible customer service at a pharmacy in my life. Guess I'll go back to Walgreens. read more

Horrible pharmacy, rotten customer service. They have given me the wrong prescription (verified my name and date of birth, but when i got home, someone else's meds in my bag), flat out lied to me (said something was out of stock, would be in the next day - told me this for a couple of weeks, finally the pharmacist told me that they couldn't get the meds at all), and take forever no matter how few people are in line or how many are in the work area. I'd suggest taking your business elsewhere. read more

Prescriptions aren't ready when they're supposed to be. There's always a line. Look for another pharmacy if you can.
