Very nice HEB in the area! I really like the vibe of this store! We stopped here for a quick shopping and this store offered us what we needed! HEB is awesome! Come and enjoy shopping! Cheers

    High priced and ridiculous.

HEB has turned into a monopoly run all they do is add more to your ticket and not only that if you leave a bag there and they put the receipt in the bag you're screwed you have to understand this is theft. I was very disappointed the prices are higher than ever you can't even buy anything simple anymore in the store the people are downright weird and mean sometimes and they even have people that bag your items incorrectly I now will avoid HEB at all cost. They do not have what it takes anymore they used to be one of the best now they're 1 of the worst the eggs are not that cheap here if you look to see if you can get a really good deal on eggs they're still pretty high and it's supposed to be at a lower price. They're absolutely robbing you here I would not come to this Lakeway HEB there are many other stores you can go especially Randall's and Target and mini and even Whole Foods whole foods is now owned by Amazon. So I prefer to go to Whole Foods then go to this very high-priced and chemically induced foods that they poured in you with. So I do not recommend HEB of any kind. The pharmacy is even more ridiculous they usually do not have the correct type of prescription and they refuse to fill your prescriptions if you have one small error on your prescription by the physician.

    Holy alcohol, Batman!

Everything is bigger in Texas! This HEB is no exception. I'm staying with family in the area and we had to pick up a few things like iced coffee, milk, bloody mary mix, limes and frozen yogurt. (Interesting mix, i know). I was immediately overwhelmed by the size of this place. It's huge. We don't have anything quite like this in upstate NY...especially the wine and liquor section! The variety of wine choices was on par with any well stocked NYS liquor store. Basically, whatever you might need/don't need - or just want - you'll find it here. Did a little research and found out the this is a privately owned chain - by the "Butt" family. HEB stands for "Herbert E. Butt" - and they're based out of San Antonio, TX. Not sure if all of the stores are as clean and well stocked as this one....but it's impressive for sure.

:D As with almost all HEBs I've been to, the customer service at the Lakeway store is stellar - even on day 1.

The isles are narrow, and full of all sorts of seasonings, and some other things I have no idea what they are, but I'm intrigued. I was asked if I needed help by a gentleman who clearly knew I had no idea what I was doing. I said thank you, I'm okay. And I explained I've never been here before so I'm just looking to see what this store is all about. I went about my browsing and picture taking. Really enjoyed seeing so much food that I've never seen before. Thank God for pictures, I can research what they are and maybe make something yummy. I could smell something yummy. No idea what it was, but I grabbed 2 from the heated glass display. Went to the register and told him I grabbed 2 of whatever is in the case. Let me tell you, whatever that was, it was dang good. Spicy, and I loved it. It's a triangle shape, fried, the outside is crispy, the inside is soft. I don't know if it's meat, or a plant based faux meat, I don't know. It was just so good. Now I want to know what it was, and how can I make it at home.

I'm grateful to have a store close enough to my house that delivery is available. The one thing I can say (having shopped at this store for over a decade) is the staff provides the most amazing customer service. Stellar! I recently placed an order to get a few specialty food items to enjoy on the holidays solo. [NOTE: When you shop through Amazon Prime any items shopped as "unavailable" are replaced by an Amazon automatic algorithm and you literally only have 90 seconds to accept or deny via text. Not the store's fault, but very annoying.] On this particular order, the algorithm replaced a meat product with a dessert. Hilarious. Knowing the time restrictions, I immediately called the store. I had called late the previous evening to make sure they had plenty of the product in stock and was assured they did. I was told that there was nothing they could do, as the order had already closed. I kindly asked to be escalated to an e-commerce rep. Kai (and other staff) successfully found the item I desperately wanted for the occasion and added it to my order. :) For any other person, and especially during any other time of year, it probably wouldn't have been a big deal at all. To me this year, during this time, it was and is. So thank you so much Kai et al for helping me make the best time of the holiday season that I planned for myself. Joy to the world! Sometimes the smallest things mean the most. Cheers!

OMG, let me just say they turned out insanely delicious. I always buy my beef, chicken, pork, etc., at HEB and I usually get the "Prime 1" category of steaks and burgers. I always thought my steaks and burgers were good but now that I have had real, fresh cut butcher shop steaks I will never go back to grocery store meat again. The difference in quality was very apparent. The steaks I chose were thick filet mignons (tenderloin), about 2 inches thick. Every bite was perfect, not a single bit of fat, chewiness or toughness. It was of the same quality you'd get at a fine dining steakhouse downtown. I also bought a pound of ground beef, a pack of wagyu hot dogs and some beef jerky but have not tried them yet. They had some gigantic cooked meatballs on display that I have my eye on for another night. The various types of marinated chicken breasts looked really good too. In addition to the meats they have a wall of interesting dry goods like sauces, chips, etc., and a cold section of prepared side dishes as well. Pricewise, if you usually buy the HEB basic beef and chicken like their Hill Country Fare line or the tubes of ground beef, then the meat at the butcher shop will be significantly more expensive. On the other hand, if you usually buy the more pricey Prime 1 or Organic Grass Fed lines of beef and the Mary's Free Range Heirloom chicken or Central Market Organic Air-Chilled Chicken, then the prices here are quite comparable, in some cases even less. They run complete meal specials and deals on their website and they offer a loyalty card program you can join for free to get more discounts. Lakeway and Bee Cave people, please give this place a try! They need our support.
