I had requested delivery from H-E-B at lohmans crossing and as usual Ethel forgot to send a couple of my items !! This has happened before and that's why I had stopped using their delivery service for a while. This time around I was hoping I would get better service but yet again the same thing happened. I called the store right away but they told me to call the next morning since they had nobody who could help me at their curbside department. When I called again the next morning, I had the most rude employee, who actually was the manager, speak to me !! She didn't even apologize once!! Instead she had the audacity to tell If I was going to come and pick it up instead of offering to send it to me like it should have been to begin with !! H-E-B you hold high standards about everything but your employees definitely lack customer service and manners. read more

Huge busy HEB. Crowded. Get ready to dodge the personal shoppers, HEB curb side shoppers with their huge rolling shelves which block everything and other paid shoppers, they don't care and are very aggressive due to time constraints, as well as the local shoppers who seem frantic to obtain their goods. They have So many varieties of individual products that they don't stock enough of the product I want. Example sold out of one coffee everyone likes. Plenty of other coffee no one wants. Out of frozen cherries, no pies today, sometimes they have pie but the tiny bakery has an extremely limited selection. Out of HEB 12 packs of soft drinks. People don't want the huge section of 5 dollar a 12 pack name brands. Out of small bags of dog food, but there are hundreds of pounds of large bags of dog food. Two kinds of ketchup etc. This is at 3:30 on Sunday. If you go at night you won't be able to find at least 25% of what you want. Make sure to watch the baggers unless you're doing it yourself. Get home and find items missing. These are just some examples. Cashiers are so busy they don't have time to smile and frequently other impatient shoppers practically push you through the check outs. Normally, I do grocery shopping at HEB at Four Points or Bee Cave. If I do not want to get into traffic in rush hour, I will go one of Randall's in between these 2 HEBs. I am so happy to see HEB opens new store in Lakeway area. Further more, this HEB is not only bigger than other 2 HEBs, but it also has lots of Asian ingredients and snacks. That means I do not have to drive another 40 minutes to cross the town to get the stuffs. :) read more

OK, so this is my local HEB and I think the best part is that they have a bar! YES, A BAR! "Ok honey, I'll go to the store on the way home....." Happy Hour start at 2:30PM, WOW! ends at 6:30 PM and it is $1 off beer that is inexpensive in the first place. The other great thing is that there is NO TIPPING! Signs up all over the place stating that tips are donated to local charities. Oh, BTW. It is a pretty nice grocery store. read more

Love the new HEB ... & the HEB Table 620 cafe & bar ... live music is often played during weekends. Noce indoor eating area and bar area as well as an outdoor patio where there is a "stage" for musicians to perform. The new look of the store is spacious and it's built with green-friendly standards. This place seems to always be bustling with people. The bakery offers beautiful array of sweets and breads. Folks are friendly and helpful. read more

I would give it 5 stars but I happen to get on a young skinny asshole boy's line. He gave me shit for asking for a double bag for three boxes of pizza. I was staying at the hotel across the street and did not want my bag breaking while I crossed the highway. If you need flowers I suggest you try one of their other stores. This store has an advertisement for roses on valentines day. I went to the store at 10:00 am and there was no red roses. I asked the (Blooms Manager) Vanessa she said the truck is late and you can come back. I said I am a customer you have lots of flowers here can you give me some others at a discount. She said we lose money on the advertised roses and I can not do anything for you. I stood there stunned for a minute then I said Wow you have a bad attitude. He not only goes above and beyond for his customers , he is highly Knowledgeable and passionate about wine and he cares. Every time I meet him it shows. Customer service is dead. Sorry. Just dead. Not sure when it died but it was violent and sad. Got a pie for Christmas. Totally raw in the middle. Took it back got a whole lot of don't really care and a credit back on my card... oh well. Packaged salad is usually half rotten and I get the same great customer service. "What's wrong with it?", "it's rotten.", "Do you have your card?... it credited back." Initially I gave them 1 star but over the last 6 months or so they seem to have gotten better so I updated the review. Still not a great place to return things but they are more helpful at times in finding things. Prices are better than their competitors. Produce is generally better than Randall's but not as nice as Whole Foods. read more

I have had continually problems with this location but today tops it all. I went in last Tuesday to pickup all my medications. Not all was there so reordered my medications that didn't get on Tuesday. So yes had to come in twice to pick up medication already said was ready days before. This has happen 3 separate times now. So something isn't right with process here at this location or HEB Pharmacy in general. Went in today to pickup and was told still not have it, then let me know that was in another area to be restocked. Asked how could be restocked when just ordered 2 days ago from when came to pick up 2 days ago. She said was ordered over a week prior. I explained I came in 2 days ago and had to reorder because wasn't there. When the person helping me Gwen let me know its my responsibility to make sure they fully check every where for my medications very rudely. Then I got upset and didn't realize was my responsibility to know where you stock or run your business but how ever done wasn't being done to make my life easier. And I would take my business else where. I paid and she walked off to not come back and had to call button to get a Pharmacist over to hand me the medication. I let know what had been just told to me and that I wanted to put in a complaint on what her assistants where tell customers. I've always have had a good experience with HEB but they need some help with process at Pharmacy and the way staff treat customers. I will move back to walgreens now because of this situation and Gwen at this location. Absolutely have never had a business tell me its my responsibility that they know where my medications are held. Nor cared when I explained 3rd time this has happen with having to come back for the same medications because all wasn't there when picked up. Again all had to say about it was my responsibility to make sure they look in system and everywhere for medications. Worst customer service at night. It took forever to find someone to help me find an item. When I finally saw someone who looked like a manager of some kind, I had to yell go get his attention. He saw me and as I was saying that I needed help, he lifted his finger, indicating to give him a minute. After, he literally ran off. I stood there for ten minutes before I went the way he went trying to find him. In the end, I asked someone else who helped me. I never saw that guy again. read more

This is a Flagship HEB for sure, down the the last detail. They even took the time to get local woodworkers, metal workers and the like to produce the store's finishes. It has a restaurant with local BBQ that some people prefer over the more well know bbq joints in the area. Great variety in produce (although not nearly as good as their sister store, Central Market). Every employee is extremely friendly, and they are more than happy to help out. My only knock is that there are SO MANY FREAKIN' Instacart people in there....i love cooking and getting the food is half the fun....and the barrage of the carts getting in my way is annoying to say the least. But i guess thats what happens as we turn into Wall-E. read more

I work at an HEB so I know how important it is to their company to give excellent customer service. Unfortunately I did not see that given at this HEB. I asked a lady in the aisle where the cake mix was (I am from Beaumont, not Austin) and she rudely and sarcastically said "the cake mix is where the cooking supplies are" and pointed to a random aisle. Keep in mind I am in a hurry to bake this. After I find it I decide it might be a better option to just buy one from the bakery, I go back there and the lady behind the counter is just as rude. Great layout. We did not have trouble finding anything while we were shopping here. The staff was seemingly friendly and the location is great since there is really nothing out in Lakeway. They were well-stocked and had everything we needed. Their produce seemed to be super fresh compared to our neighborhood HEB. Impressive! read more

If you are any semblance of a regular customer, expect to receive dirty looks and terrible customer service. I'm from New York, yet this staff makes New Yorkers look like Mormons. There are policies put in place to specifically target those shopping for companies like instacart or favor, such as making shoppers bag their own groceries while the original bagger can stand behind and watch. These rules only apply to this Lakeway store and literally no other HEB in Austin. When asking about these rules, you will only receive untruthful platitudes about "company policy". Who hurt the management at this store so bad that they must be so petty towards people trying to make a living like them? I would recommend the Randall's, Target, or other nearby HEB all within 10 minutes of this location read more

This grocery store it the bomb S.. I really like how easy it is to make a list, then shop as you go through the store. That is what we love about this location is that is features the HEB GO app and you just scan your groceries as you go. When you're done, you just head to one of the Kiosks at the end, no having to stand in line just boom and you're done! Contactless and even before COVID this was a great feature. Personally, I think more people should be using this (or not) ;-). I can't stop telling people about this feature. I do judge other places that haven't fallen into step with this way of checking out. So efficient and actually makes shopping fun (since I really don't like to shop). Another thing that H-E-B does to help you is that when you put things on your list, through the APP, it tells you were to go in the store and arranges it so you're not hunting around and looking for stuff, so helpful! Loved when there was a bar connected to the store, but those days are gone. If you haven't used the H-E-B GO app, get on it! With that being said.. it's time to go shopping, we have been out of town for two weeks and it's like Old Mother Hubbard with our cupboards bare. read more

Went to get a copy of covid 19 vaccination card. Since CDC guidelines suggest that my condition would benefit from a booster shot I asked for one. Was told need to register online. I asked what happens when appointment is not filled , was told it is disposed of. I was willing to wait for an hour or more why would we want to waste it if I'm willing to wait. I asked the employee if i can wait so if in the next hour or so no schedule appointee shows up I can take the person place. It was hard NO closed door in front of my eyes. Seems such request are not permissible or employee has not been trained for such scenario. Maybe a system in place can be added that if appointment not kept pharmacy can reach out to customers already in the store to see if anyone interested in getting vaccination shot. I have been trying to fill the form o line to share a concern and once I entered.the zip code and selected a store, which is NOT optional, my filled form stuck there and lost ability to send to HEB Lakeway. Strange and frustrating. I feel like they make it intentionally difficult to communicate with them unless by phone or in person. If my complaint is not in writing, it WILL not be considered, perhaps. Worst veal products ever from Strauss. Toughest scallopine I have ever prepared and I know what I am doing. I wish HEB would find a way for me to share this issue. Wow! This is the biggest HEB I've ever seen! Like my (much smaller) HEB in Houston, I find this store to be very well-stocked with friendly and helpful employees. I get through the checkout lines quickly and I always appreciate that. The wine department is exceptional. read more

So not only is this store set up in a very shopper friendly way and easy to find stuff but they also have a bar. On Wednesday they have "Whisky Wednesday's" where Whisky is sold at a discount. This is a place my coworkers and I frequent pretty regularly. They make the BEST old fashions. From what I've seen its: Bulliet, Luxardo cherries, orange zest, bitters. I don't think I could make an old fashion nearly this good. The reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is they have been inconsistent with what they have charged us, where I'll get an old fashion for $7 and my friend $9. read more

I like the store and the staff is great, but the pharmacy leaves a lot to be desired. I won't go into all of the details, but yesterday my doctor called in a prescription that I needed desperately because I was in a lot of pain. That was at 10:30 in the morning. I had to go meet a contractor at my parents' house in New Braunfels, out of town, then came back at around 6:30 PM and sent my husband to go pick it up at 7:00. They told him that since it was a "maintenance drug" that it had to come in from San Antonio, or something stupid like that. The girl even asked my husband if I really needed the medication and if "it could wait until tomorrow." Ummmm...NO. A reasonable person might expect if a doctor called something in that it might be important. Possibly urgent. By that time, H-E-B had already had the prescription for almost 9 hours. Apparently she or someone else made a judgment call and designated my medication a "maintenance medication." Really? Because it was a prescription for 30 pills with no refills. She even had the nerve to tell me that I should've told my doctor that it was urgent so they could tell H-E-B that it was urgent. So it's now my responsibility to follow up when I'm not feeling well and tell them my prescription is urgent? Last I checked, all I needed to do was call my doctor. It's always work that way in the past. I did speak with the store manager, and this afternoon got a call from the pharmacy manager, who was very nice. Maybe they're just shorthanded, and they need to add more staff, but my advice would be if you urgently need your medication or need it delivered, don't send it to this H-E-B. read more

The bagger forgot to place a bag in my cart containing 3 items I had purchased. When I called the store, Leslie said I could come back in whenever I was in the area next. She did not even apologize and was pretty rude. She said the items would have already been put back since they were refrigerated. I then called back a few minutes later to say I was on my way and to ask that the items be ready for me as I did not want to go shopping again. Ariana said she would pull the items. I asked for them to be waiting at the pick up area. She said I would have to call back and talk to curbside. I explained that I didn't feel I should have to make numerous calls as I was already inconvenienced. I even told her I wasn't upset with her, just the situation. When I finished, she said "are you done?" So rude! I said I didn't appreciate the attitude and she said "that goes both ways." This is completely unacceptable to speak to customers this way. Especially when you are the ones at fault and I have been inconvenienced. Apologize, pull the items, have them ready at curbside for the customer. read more

This is literally the best grocery store location in Austin. There is such a variety in their assortment, that it makes it SO EASY to comparison shop and stick to your budget. They also have an incredible produce department, good wine selection, fresh tortillas made daily (you can't get these at every HEB location it turns out) and quite a large bakery. read more

I've never written a review about a grocery store before but feel totally compelled to today because of the exceptional service I received at the meat counter on probably one of the busiest days of the year. I totally made a mistake and ordered the wrong meat and the guys despite being busy all helped me pick the right meat to prepare our family dinner. H-E-B - Drugstores Near Me - Lakeway, Texas

So disappointed - I purchased gas from them on 1/12/2017 and almost immediately thereafter, my car started running badly and was finally unable to be driven. My mechanic says the problems are the result of the gasoline having too much ethanol (30%). HEB has denied that there's a problem, and will not work with me to fix the issue. I'm now stuck with a large repair bill and no help. I won't be back even if it means going out of my way to shop somewhere else. read more
