Alex made us the best cappuccino and iced vanilla latte! This location is very cute with ample seating indoors and outdoors.

We decided to try out this coffee shop today when it opened at 7. Plenty of seating and great lighting inside, as well as patio seating outside. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed reading at the corner window side table, savoring a butter croissant, a chocolate chip scone, and 12 oz pressed coffee and a 12 oz vanilla latte. The scone was a little burnt tasting and kind of dry, not like other scones we've had. The coffees were delicious and the butter croissant was perfectly flaky and satisfying.

My morning Lavender Matcha

I had a quick overnight stay in Paso Robles and was searching for my morning matcha. I found this quaint and cute coffee shop and headed over. Location is in the heart of downtown Paso Robles near the city park. I was greeted by a friendly face and Christy was her name. They serve some tasty drinks and my iced Matcha with lavender was so exceptional on this warm summer day. Christy took her time and made my drink with lots of love and care. I really appreciated her service. The shop has an equestrian vibe with beautiful photography featuring horses on the walls. Gorgeous leather chairs and wooden surfaces inviting you to sit down. They also have a comfortable and inviting patio for outside seating where you can enjoy a relaxing and tranquil fountain. Make this a stop on your next trip to Paso Robles to get your wine touring day off to a smart start.

Nice little coffee shop in downtown Paso Robles. Good place to grab a coffee and pastry while waiting for the shops to open. We got a few lattes, brewed coffee, hot chocolate, and some breakfast pastries. The drinks were all good. The pastries were also good. Good service. Nice, huge patio with tons of seating. Only sucky part is that... there were tons of flies in the patio. We constantly have to cover our food and drinks or swat the flies away. As much as we wanted to stay longer and hang, the patio also reeked sewage / trash. Hope they address this since the patio is such a nice spot to hang out.

We were in Paso for the night and were in search of a cozy coffee shop; H. Cheval was absolutely what we were looking for. Baristas were super friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in. For 11:30am, they were pretty busy, yet managed to make their well crafted drinks fairly quickly. Although a smaller menu, they had a wonderful variety of coffee styles as well as matcha & chai lattes. I also LOVED the brilliancy of having a stainless steel countertop where they wrote each order with a dry erase marker to save paper! Honestly so smart and I'd love to see this in more coffee shops around the Country. My husband ordered the Undertow which is their layered espresso; since it's such a small beverage, we sat inside so my husband could enjoy his Undertow - which he very much liked. I opted for an iced matcha latte with oat milk & honey vanilla syrup in a to-go cup. As a matcha connoisseur, I was happy they used such a high quality matcha. The combination honey/vanilla syrup was also nice - it cut down the bitterness of the matcha while adding a subtle sweetness. I loved the cozy ambiance inside with comfortable seating as well as the big beautiful patio shaded by many trees. This will hands down be our go-to coffee shop the few times a year we travel to Paso.

Delicious matcha latte. I added vanilla and got it over ice. Tasted great! Service was fast & friendly. Ambiance was good vibes.

Delicious coffee and awesome service. This place has a special upscale cozy vibe that is both welcoming and efficient. I especially dug the little outside red bricked seating area. I can imagine reading a book and enjoying a cup of coffee. Bliss. Such a great hip vibe.

A perfect Paso morning at H Cheval Coffee I was in Paso for just 24 hours to pick up a wine shipment and squeeze in time with friends, and stumbled into H Cheval on a morning stroll before visiting my favorite General Store. What an unexpected gem. I ordered a café miel with oat milk, and it was perfect -- warm, balanced, subtly sweet, and easily one of the best I've had anywhere. We sat outside by the fountain, and I was immediately transported to another place. Peaceful, calm, and exactly the kind of moment you hope for when you're traveling. H Cheval has that rare combination of great coffee, thoughtful preparation, and a setting that invites you to slow down. Can't wait to return on my next Paso trip.

I love this cute little coffee shop in downtown Paso. It's tiny inside and has about 4 tables, but has a huge outdoor area. The outdoor area is roomie and the perfect spot to people watch. I got a vanilla latte and it was perfect!

Really friendly energy and good lattes. There is seating inside and outside available.

First time here. I happened to drop by since I was in Paso on business. The coffee is well crafted and tasty just what I needed for a tired morning. The service is great, the girls do a wonderful job and are trained well as baristas. I did not try a scone or muffin as those are my go to's. Paso Robles is a great place as an up and coming destination for the past few years, especially. The people, the wineries, and restaurants are great as well. Although, for the area, the cost of living is increasing because of these factors. There are plenty of seats outdoors and a few indoor, but some are occupied by the office less ones. Anyway, enjoy!

I'm not a huge coffee snob, so it doesn't take much to impress me with coffee. That being said, their coffee here was delicious! I got a cappuccino that was great on a cold Sunday morning, my fiancé got a latte that was too sweet for me but she loved it. Very quaint, chill, and well decorated coffee shop that makes you feel right at home. Pretty quick and well priced for coffee these days. I would recommend coming here to give it a try!

The service is way too slow. 20 mins for being the third in line is pretty bad. The previous two guests only have 2 drinks each.

Coffee was really good. Quite busy in the morning so I'm not the only one who thinks so but they got us all our coffee in record time.

Even though it was a 15 minute drive up the freeway from where I was, it was worth every minute. The downtown area this shop is in was really cool, plenty of parking, and the moment you walked into this coffee shop you could tell it was going to be good. Lots of space, people sitting and having conversations, and a greeting from the Barista the second I walked through the door. I went with my standard iced oat milk latte with honey and a triple shot and it was perfect. I wish I could have drank it there because the inside of the shop seemed like a place you could hang out for a while. Unfortunately, I had to take it on the road, but that is a shop (if I lived in that area) I would drive out of my way to get to. Well done guys!

To be fair, we did order a latte, so that is partly expected. The breakfast sandwich was good but a little underseasoned and could have used a bit more flavor overall. The chicken pesto sandwich was the standout. The pesto was well balanced and did not overpower the rest of the ingredients, which made the sandwich really pleasant to eat. Overall, everything was solid, though slightly pricey for the portion sizes. The food was good, but nothing especially memorable. Still, it is a nice stop if you are in the area.

I also appreciated it how he broke down about the unique style of cups and why they use the straws that they use. It's a pretty cool little cup but also I like that it's plastic free leak resistant and forest friendly. I am down with being sustainable and making sustainable choices for our world. I got a lavender bourbon caramel iced latte and it was delicious. I honestly finished drinking it before I got to the car and I couldn't stop. I had a long drive and needed a quick pick me up. I will save this and definitely return and get a larger drink last time. I appreciate it the barista taking the time to explain the design and why they use the style of cup and straw, etc.. I'm one of those people that do care about the environment. I also appreciate that they're open until seven. Sometimes people are still working and need caffeine and a quick little pick me up like me for my 3 hour drive home. Thanks for a delicious drink!

I had the vanilla latte made with oat milk and it was perfect! Not overly sweet. They do have a few tables inside, but most of the seating is located outside, which we enjoyed because it was a beautiful cool morning. They have a golden latte which not too many coffee shops offer. I will try that one next time.
