Good bagels for Boca. But if you're used to New York bagels, it's a bit disappointing honestly, especially when they're pushing the legendary H&H name. So yeah the food isn't half bad, but the biggest downside is the ridiculous pricing they've come up with. We got an everything bagel with egg whites and avocado, a plain bagel with salmon and cream cheese, a plain bagel with salmon, avocado and salmon and 2 coffees and the bill came to over $60! Totally insane. And the bagels were OK, but like nothing special whatsoever. As for the coffee it was putrid, just total bitter, burnt tasting swill. I should note that my wife did say that she enjoyed the place and would give it 3.5 to 4 stars. However, I definitely would not return here. This bagel shop located in Boca Raton has New York style bagels and spreads. I ordered an everything bagel with egg& vegetable spread cream cheese. The bagel had a lot of toppings and was flavorful. The cream cheese was creamy with diced up peppers. Loved the lox with scallion cream cheese bagel. I loved the bagels displayed in a window at the front counter. Outside tables are available as well as inside. The service was really nice and helpful. I really wanted to like this place because I've heard so much about them from friends that live in NYC, but it didn't live up to the hype. The service was not very friendly it felt like they're rushing you to get you out the door. The options for bagels and cream cheese are very limited compared to others down the street. They have about eight different breakfast sandwiches on bagels, as well as about twelve lunch sandwiches on bagels. I opted for an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese and an iced coffee. An outlet of this New York institution is now here in Boca. For me, the bagels are good, but expected more. I don't feel they compare to some of the great bagel spots back in NY... and while I haven't found any place that compares to NY bagels, there are better spots in FL. I was craving a classic NYC morning staple on a Monday morning after an 8am doctor's appointment close by. Hello, H&H Bagel. I ordered an iced coffee and the Nova salmon with the works -- cream cheese, tomato, onion, capers on a toasted onion bagel. This is the closest thing to a NYC bagel that I've had outside of ... NYC. Their onion bagel was fresh, soft, and plump on the inside. Nice portion of nova. The competition mostly puts on a thin strand. Everybody in Boca complains about the quality of bagels being messed up by the water. Some treat the water with Brooklynizers but still not quite the same quality. The Broadway H & H Bagel shop is very special for me. I have fond memories of lining up out the door to pick up warm bagels that just came out of the huge hot kettle. The bagels didn't need any spreads, they were delicious plain. Yes, this is the iconic H & H from Seinfeld, Sex & the City, The Office, SNL, You've Got Mail ... This new location is off Glades Road, between I95 and the Boca Town Center. There is plenty of parking in front & there were more than enough employees. There are now 8 H & H locations in the tristate area with a 20,000 sq ft. commercial bakery in Queens producing 9,000 bagels each hour. Here H & H's dough made with NYC filtered tap water are hand rolled & kettle-boiled before being flash-frozen and shipped to Florida. Bagels arrive 2 days later, thawed and baked in ovens. There was a lot of free parking in front with arrows pointing patrons in the correct direction. It is cafeteria style, selecting a bagel from the bin and working my way down the line. Clean new tables were inside and outdoors as well. There were the usual bagels: plain, poppy, sesame, cheddar jalapeño, cinnamon raisin, pumpernickel, everything, whole wheat, onion, blueberry, egg and asiago. A large appetizing case was filled with a variety of schmears, from nova and lox to cream cheeses (plain and flavored) and tuna and chicken salads. I brought one 4 everything bagels with 1/2 lb of whitefish salad. Although the bagels weren't warm they were crispy on the outside, fresh & soft on the inside. Order two bagels to go and they were very good. We got an Asiago bagels which were so cheesy. My bacon, egg and cheese was supposed to have avocado and was supposed to be toasted extra so that was a bit disappointing but overall the breakfast bagel was yummy I defintely enjoyed it and I will order something else next time to try their wide variety of bagels. read more

I will take my time to write a review that makes sense. A lot to unpack here. Read to the end, H&H Deserve it. The good: The pace is clean (as it should be) looks nice, the presentation of the menu items is nice, the food was good, the bagels were as I expected. Got one plain buttered bagel and it really reminded me of the times I stopped on the west side to get bagels on my way out of Manhattan. The Bad: We ordered online, and most every thing we ordered was incorrect. Our "Bakers Dozen" was only a dozen (not a huge deal) but we only got 5 of the 13 items we requested, the rest were a toss up. What bothered me the most was they had all the bagels available. Our egg sandwiches were both done incorrectly, no ketchup on either (again not a big deal, but in a to go order, if we asked for it, put it on there, didn't even give us packets). Another sandwich was made right but the fried egg was undercooked, and needed be remade. Both of the ordered coffees were made wrong as well. I know, new store, but directions need to be followed, thats a show stopper. The ugly: The brownie was an Oreo brownie, not what was anticipated, nor was its size (see photo), it was not good, nor was it fairly priced. The uglier: No place to call, online they give you a 7 digit number, sure wasn't 212 or 561 area code. This was a very frustrating factor. Cleanup time, they quickly replied to my email, they provided a more than fair credit, and the food was good. It's a welcome addition to SoFlo, and we will go back. read more

I'm a big fan of this location. Food is always fast, fresh and delicious. I usually do an online pickup order on my way back from a beach walk and it's always ready on time, the staff is always super friendly and it always tastes great. The breakfast sandwiches are huge IMO and a rare value for this area. I can overlook the awful music, tables (3 total?) and floor scattered with crumbs etc, and the fact the nice woman behind the counter forgot both my black coffee (which was very weak, like tea btw) and my wife's iced coffee, but if you have the H&H name, you must at least TRY to deliver the H&H product, right? I had the nova bagel and wifey had the bacon, egg & cheese bagel. Adequate nova & scallion schmear, but the bagel had C+ texture and C- flavor. Sorry! Traveling back home to Boca often feels like traveling to NY with all the transplants...and now you can even enjoy their H&H Bagels. While I never stepped foot in H&H Bagels during my most recent visit we did enjoy their bagels thanks to doordash. We saved it for our last morning to fill us up before our flight home to Chicago where the bagels aren't nearly as good. I had an everything bagel scooped (loved that this was an option when ordering) with egg whites, avocado and a little cheese. It was very filling and enjoying- especially after my run enjoying the outside before heading home to the cold. My 3 kiddos all got everything bagel sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches and seemed quite pleased. I had high expectations because I've been to H & H in NYC many times! If you stay open till 4 pm, then you should still have a variety of bagels (they did not) and you should also know how the app works for your establishment. It says you can ear rewards with the app, but no one in the place had any clue how to get rewards or enter in your birthday for rewards - it was very strange. I would say the bagel was good but not exceptional. A bit pricey for a bagel ($2.45 for a plain bagel) and egg and cheese ($7.60). We were excited to try this place since the local paper has been hyping this place for weeks. We had a feeling it would be busy the first couple of weeks so we ordered online the night before for takeout the next morning on their website. We signed up for their rewards program and hoped for the best. We were glad we ordered online as on the day we went in the line was out the door and a lot of commotion was happening. The store is a bit small and the stanchions could be better placed. They are still working on the opening jitters as our order was not in their system but we shared our confirmation email and they quickly put it together. The bagels were good but nothing better than some of the already established shops in town. The white fish was very tasty as well as the tuna fish, which was moist with chunks of celery. Their branding is nice and the staff were not flustered yet on a very busy morning. We will try them again in the future to see if they really measure up to some of our other favorites. read more

I've had it a few times and it's just okay but no one is going to confuse these roll like imposters with authentic bagels as the taste is so different. These bagels lack the chewy texture and the combination of airy and dense that makes a bagel - a bagel. I've ordered the lox sandwich a few times and it's okay for commercial quality salmon. What a massive disappointment I ordered an egg bagel with egg, turkey bacon, cheddar cheese and plain cream cheese. Firstly, egg bagel was doughy, flavorless and oddky dry. The eggs were overcooked and there was just a tiny smear of cream cheese. Only good thing was the turkey bacon. I also ordered a small nitro coffee with vanilla and the coffee was bitter and not even a taste of vanilla. I loved these bagels. They are soft inside but with a rather chewy, light crust that makes them stand out. They offer sandwiches, baked goods and some drinks. I went for bagels and thought it lived up to my friend's good reviews. Touted as true NY bagels, there is enough variety to keep you satisfied. I've been to this location countless times, after being from NY. I have never once received the correct order. It's impossible to reach anyone via telephone. Example below, "avocado, tomato, and egg white." We received the bagel not toasted and without the avocado and tomato. I just threw my chicken salad sandwich right in the garbage. Waited outside to get in and once in our order was taken. I found the area where all tbe spreads are and salads to be very dirty and unappetizing. The chicken salad was filled with small pieces of dark meat and swimming with liquid mayonnaise. My wife's egg sandwich was ok. The bagel was ok. They have the iced tea and iced coffee behind the counter so getting refills is an issue. I don't know where to start here. As I entered the establishment, I noticed that everything was super clean, considering it was their second day in business; you would expect that. They have a few chairs where you can sit down and have a bagel and some coffee, but nothing really to meet somebody to have breakfast. I think in the long run that's gonna hurt this place because people want a place to sit down and eat especially breakfast on the weekend. I approached the young lady and asked her for a half a dozen bagels; I had to ask her four times on top of her asking me a couple of times to repeat myself. I understand that the lady was new, she was a foreigner and had trouble understanding the language; I also have no problems with that. The issue I have, if I was an owner, him sticking somebody like that on the first couple of days of opening and not understanding what a customer wants, It's not a good first impression. She was a very nice woman, but she didn't belong in that position at this moment. She needed more training, and that again is understandable. Now let's get to the bagel. I was handed my half a dozen bagels, and I went directly outside to my car to try one. After taking a bite into it, I realized that this definitely tastes like a frozen bagel that's been rebaked. It had the taste that you would have of a stale bagel that was reheated in an oven. The bagel wasn't horrible, but it failed to NY deliver. The bagels themselves were all uniform; that ALSO takes away from the uniqueness of individual bagels, AND the lack of smell of fresh-cooked bagels was not there and again that takes away from the entire bagel shop experience. Next day, I toasted the bagel, and the bagel toasted well; however, there are better places in Boca to have a bagel, and while these are far from the worst bagels I've ever had, there's a lot of room for improvement here. I truly hope these people make it because the owner, seemed like a nice man. I really hope they make it. There was another place that did the same thing as these people did in Pembroke Pines that eventually went out of business because of the quality of the dough and the changing of the temperatures and the seasons made the bagels an epic failure during portions of the year. I hope this place understands that and can correct it before it destroys them. Will i go there again? Yes, I probably will in a couple of months to try it again as they work out the kinks.
