We came for lunch on a very busy Sunday. I'd been craving bagels and lox and this place came up in Yelp as new to the area. I've never eaten at their other location so had no expectations. Nor did I realize that it is kosher. You wait in line and order from one of two cashiers. You can also order online for pickup. The menu is on the wall behind the cashiers. Although they were busy, the lines moved fairly fast considering. After you order and pay, they call your name at the other counter for pickup. You might want to have someone in your party secure a table while you are ordering and picking up if you'd like to dine in. The place is small and large families seem to fill the venue. I ordered a whole wheat bagel lightly toasted for me (they don't make my favorite rye bagels) with lox cream cheese and added on tomato. For him, I ordered an everything bagel lightly toasted with lox and scallion cream cheese... and also added on tomato ... along with a black coffee. Coffee is self serve btw. Water is from a tap. In not too long a time, they called my name for the order. We each liked our bagels. There was a very generous amount of cream cheese on each. And in each, there was a decent amount of lox mixed in. We felt the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. We both said we'd definitely return to have the same order or maybe to try some other types of bagels and salads. read more

Lunch time and this place is busy! I ordered the Lox cream cheese with scallions on an Everything bagel. Also ordered a self serve coffee. The bagels are fantastic and the cream cheese filling is fresh and generous. Coffee is good and there is a refrigerator with milk for your coffee. Inside, it's bright, modern, and absolutely spotless. The space feels completely new, with no trace of the previous bagel shop. The displays of fresh salads and flavored cream cheeses are stunning--so visually tempting, you'll want to try one of everything. As for the bagels? I came here for the first time as they are close to where I was. There was one person taking orders and even though there was only one person in front of me it took over thirty minutes to get my to go. I ordered six bagels, one flagel and two different cream cheese. They handed my bag and I left to go up to West Palm, I got to my destination and opened the bag... ready not even what I ordered, no flagel, one cream cheese and not the variety of bagels. I could not return as I was an hour away. Very disappointed and definitely not how their locations up north operate. Fortunately bagel places are a dime a dozen in my area, I definitely won't return. First time visiting, ordered takeout when I got home my sesame bagel lightly toasted was an everything bagel well toasted. I very very very much dislike everything bagels, so my lunch was eggs with what I assume is cheese which I could barely find. Plus because it was well toasted all the cream cheese I had added had melted and it looked like very little. The phone number on the receipt takes you to a mailbox that's full. There are multiple phone numbers on the web. The website on the receipt throws an error on my iPhone. And the accidentally misspelled my name on receipt. Not a great first impression. read more

Today I tried the Bagel Boss in Boca. The restaurant is immaculately clean. There is a wide variety of bagel flavors to choose from including French Toast. Additionally, there is a vast array of cream cheese choices including blueberry. They also have delicious flagels (basically big flat bagels) in 3 different varieties. Just note that when you order on a flagel there is a $1.50 upcharge. The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant is also kosher. read more

OK, I know Bagel Boss from Roslyn, NY, and was pleased that they opened a location in Boca. Couldn't be better. A very high population of Orthodox and very supportive of Kosher business's. When they first opened the service was terrible. today it was just bad. Even that I would put up with. A few weeks ago my family was down from New York and, naturally, we went to BB. My son-in-law ordered a salad sandwich, tuna or salmon salad, and then asked for a little butter. We laughed when the bill came and he was charged 50 cents for butter. Today I had lunch, a spicy tuna sandwich and was charged 52 cents for a slice of onion. Notice, it was not 50 cents but a rather distinct 52 cents! It was my fault. I should have asked for the price of the onion, tomato, lettuce, cutting bagel, scooping bagel and toasting bagel, napkin and plate before placing my order.I understand that this is a franchise and it liiks like they can do and charge whatever they want. That's fine with me because I will not be returning. there are too may other Bagel stores that were servicing the community before BB and I'm sure they will be here long after BB. read more

While the place was busy they had a reason to be so. I wanted tofu cream cheese which is limited in Boca and they did not dissappoint with multiple variations. THey had people passing out cookies, super friendly and. talkative staff, it was kosher and best of all the food was wonderful. This location was formerly Einstein Bagels. Appears as if they (Bagel Boss) are shnorrering customers with the weight/price ratio. The containers are smaller in relation to what other bagel shops in Boca provide. A quarter pound of tuna usually lasts me two & half halfs of bagels. I barely had enough for a half with a little left over. There's no price/weight listed on the container as well. 3 stars for taste, 2 stars for getting less food. read more

The first problem was fixed. They want you to go to place your order and pickup somewhere else, but they didn't have any signage When we were there. The service, new at that time, was bad. There was a line of about 10 customers, they have two registers but only one cashier. Naturally when my turn finally came they opened the other register. I placed my orders and when we opened them both sandwiches were wrong. My wife ordered a bagel and lox with scallion cream cheese. She got a bagel with lox spread. I ordered a bagel with baked salmon and I got a Wish Sandwich. I wished I could see the Baked Salmon. It looked like a shmesr! Paying top dollar for these sandwiches is not right. I have to say that the Manager did "fix" my wife's sandwich but a slice of lox did not a $17 sandwich make. It's a far cry from Roslyn. read more

Breakfast sandwiches start at $15, while a three egg burrito is also $15 (for counter service)! Decent service although it's clear they are still trying to find their way to efficient business operation. Worth the wait for this place to finally open? Not sure... but you be the judge! It is with great disappointment I write this review. Having been raised on Bagel Boss Hicksville I was ecstatic to learn they were coming to south SoFl more specifically Boca. The bagels are not chewy nor crispy on the outside and the inside is not soft. And the everything flagel is identical to the everything bagel - the only difference is the up charge.
