Menu features bagels, spreads, omelets, sandwiches
Kim P.

The quiet location nestled off of busy Atlantic Ave lured us in for lunch. The restaurant features bagels, spreads, omelets and sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch for take-out or alfresco dining. The food was generally good, but not quite great. We had 2 eggs omelet stye with home fries and a bagel. The home fries were tasty albeit a bit bland. We were disappointed to hear that most flavors of the bagels were already sold out. Lesson: arrive early to get the best bagel selection. Our friend had an egg sandwich with home fries. He requested it without cheese, but it came with cheese anyway. This was disappointing but not surprising because the waiter did seem a bit distracted. He was pleasant an accommodating to our requests. Another friend had the tuna sandwich, which came with a side of onion straws and home fries. She said the tuna salad was okay. She's had tastier tuna salads elsewhere. Overall, we had a nice meal and would consider stopping by again if we were by the beach, but we likely wouldn't go out of our way to dine here.

A cute spot to hang out with friends! The service was excellent, and the coffe and bagels were amazing. I'll definitely be back soon!

Everything Bagel with Lox cream cheese, onion and tomato.

Had the Everything Bagel with Lox cream cheese, tomato and onion and it was absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic. Great atmosphere too.

Bacon egg and 2 Eggs with Cheese Sandwich

The food was great but this is absurd to give 8 individual home fries with a $17 sandwich after about a 25 minute wait. They were nice but I won't be back and can't justify. We ordered 6 of these at 9am Sunday morning and spent a total of $116 - which yes, makes me the dummy.

Amazing coffee, great staff and it felt like a ma and pa shop. I went there with my church group of 11 and they had no issue servicing us.

The service was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was bright and clean. The wife settled for a simple raisin bagel with butter and I ordered the turkey club sandwich, which was AMAZING! (the wifey did share 1/4 of it!) All in all, it was a great experience as they have a huge menu and most of the stuff is made in house! Fellow YELPERS do give this place a try and yes, we will definitely be back when in the area!

PSA- BREAKFAST ALL DAY UNTIL CLOSE!…read more This is hands down my favorite quick spot to grab breakfast in Delray. Let me just say this- it's very New York. So if you're a northerner, this is for you. The bagels are great, the coffee is good & the proportions are very generous for the pricing. The 2 eggs meal seems more like 4 eggs. Lots of lunch options as well. Plenty of seating inside with a few tables outside. The service is super quick, this place is always fully staffed so even if it's packed when you walk in, which is usually is, don't get discouraged. There is a parking lot & bonus- it's close to tjmaxx & lots of shopping nearby so great place to grab food & run errands. Love this place. Repeat customer. Highly recommend for anyone who loves NYC delis.

This is the first location of The Seed that I've been to, so I'm not sure how other locations compare, but this one was pretty small in general with limited seating inside. Luckily my fiancé and I got there while it was empty, so we were able to choose two of the four bar seats along the wall across from the counter. I had a latte with almond milk and house-made lavender syrup, and we each had a classic croissant sandwich. Latte with house-made lavender syrup: I really enjoyed this. My fiancé described this as a "mix of coffee and tea", which I think was fitting. The lavender syrup sweetened the coffee with light floral notes and the latte was a great balance between herbal, floral, and creamy overall. Classic croissant sandwich: The egg patty was pretty thick, I'd say just under a 1/2" thick. It was packed with bacon and cheese, and the sandwich was toasted the way I liked. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and overall I enjoyed the sandwich. There wasn't anything unique about the sandwich though, it was just a solid breakfast croissant sandwich that was made well. No special sauces or other ingredients. I guess that's why it's the classic. The staff was nice and pleasant, and our food and drinks were made in a reasonable amount of time. I do think the food and drink were a bit overpriced for what it was (our bill was ~$40 for two sandwiches and two drinks), but they say the ingredients are all locally sourced so I'm assuming that's why. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd certainly choose this The Seed over a larger chain coffee shop. Just know that the dollars can add up quickly here!

The bagels are VERY small, the 2 tomato slices look like they were on somebody else's plate 3 days ago and same for the 1 slice of cucumber, but the worst part is the incredibly SMALL amount of nova, it's a joke. Two VERY thin, VERY small pieces of nova, not even enough for one bagel. So thin you can see the plate through the nova, barely 2-finger wide and about 4-5 inches long. Any other place would call it a "mini nova platter" and would charge you about $7-7.50 for it. I came here a few times a good while back, something has changed and not for the better. I should have suspected something when I only saw 6 people when I walked in! VERY overpriced & under-portioned.

Today I decided to walk to bagel twins while they took her for a procedure... I paid $11 for a bagel with cream cheese and a muffin and they tried to charge me $3.50 for a regular size can of Diet Coke. Honestly, it feels like they're taking advantage of the area and being local to a lot of doctors offices/the hospital. $6 for the smallest bagel I've ever purchased is truly ridiculous. Tomorrow I'll stop at Brooklyn water bagel or something before heading to the hospital. Ambiance? They have signs all over the place demanding you wear a mask, can't sit here or there, and other things. I'm shocked people choose to patronize this place.

Coming in May meant drastically less of a wait than in the Winter months which was nice. We were seated in a booth and immediately brought out complimentary marble cake for the table. I got a bowl of oatmeal (brought out as more of an appetizer) as well as the brown sugar, raisin, and cinnamon fixings. Just as I finished that, my two eggs over medium with wheat toast as well as my husband's scrambled eggs and home fries with rye toast arrived. I highly suggest signing up for their rewards program. Megan was our server extraordinaire and brought me a large cup of delicious brewed coffee. We both got the breakfast special which included a drink. I had three scrambled eggs, grits and a toasted sesame bagel. Dave had the same with pancakes instead of the bagel. The grits were brought out in a shissel along with brown sugar and raisins. Dave loves that-I prefer savory butter lol! Then the eggs were a very large portion and done just right. I swear I had a bagel that was on steroids lol! It was the biggest bagel that I have ever seen. David got two large pancakes along with warmed syrup! Who could ask for anything more. Megan said the bagels were baked right there! The price was a modest $9.99! A bargain considering we usually pay over $3.00 a cup of coffee here. It makes me sad that I left my home there 12 years ago! It was dry as expected, but had no flavor. She orders the brisket at all the other Jewish deli's in the area and all have flavor, although very dry when ordered extra lean. The others all ordered cold sandwiches and were fine with their meals. The only comments were the rye bread looked packaged from a market, not your typical Jewish Rye, but they still enjoyed their sandwich. The remodel is really first class, definitely the nicest Jewish deli in the area.
