The Delray spot is larger with an organized process into the familiar mess of ordering at a deli -- each table has a pager placemat which makes order delivery smooth. I went with my longtime regular Western omelette sandwich. Everything here is solid -- iced coffee, lunch (Reuben's, pastrami), salads, breakfast (smoked salmon platters, egg sandwiches). Bagels With is a local legend for the delicatessen aficionado.

Before anyone starts a fight in the comments, yes... they toasted my fresh sesame bagel after I…read morespecifically asked them not to. Honestly? No big deal. The bagels here are fresh enough that they don't need a toaster to begin with, which is exactly why I asked for it untoasted. Even with the unnecessary trip through the toaster, it was still a really good sandwich. The tuna salad is creamy, well seasoned, and they even let me sample it before ordering, which is always appreciated. Confidence in your food says a lot. The pickle on the side had that perfect crisp snap every good deli pickle should have. The only thing that missed the mark was the macaroni salad. The flavor is there, but the pasta was overcooked and a little mushy. If they tighten that up, it's an easy win. The restaurant itself is surprisingly large, clean, and comfortable, and everyone I dealt with was genuinely friendly. Overall, this is the kind of neighborhood bagel shop you hope to find. Good food, good people, and just enough personality to make you want to come back.

The pumpernickel is my favorite, but the flagels are also excellent. On this visit, I picked up some bagels and veggie cream cheese, which was delicious. My only criticism is the way the cream cheese and salads are portioned during busy times, like on weekends. They're pre-scooped out rather than weighed out when you order. I've always felt that they sometimes pack a little more and then take some out before storing them in the deli case. If you look at my photo, and even my photos from previous visits, you will see what I mean, and since these items are sold by weight, I'd prefer to see them measured fairly. I've actually been going more often to their newer Military Trail store in Boca, which seems to be better run in several ways. I still occasionally come to this location because I enjoy the food, the crew is great, and this location is convenient for me. It's even in the same plaza as Dunkin', so I can grab a good decaf iced coffee while I'm there. Even with my one small complaint, the bottom line is that I like the food and will continue coming back.

This is the first location of The Seed that I've been to, so I'm not sure how other locations compare, but this one was pretty small in general with limited seating inside. Luckily my fiancé and I got there while it was empty, so we were able to choose two of the four bar seats along the wall across from the counter. I had a latte with almond milk and house-made lavender syrup, and we each had a classic croissant sandwich. Latte with house-made lavender syrup: I really enjoyed this. My fiancé described this as a "mix of coffee and tea", which I think was fitting. The lavender syrup sweetened the coffee with light floral notes and the latte was a great balance between herbal, floral, and creamy overall. Classic croissant sandwich: The egg patty was pretty thick, I'd say just under a 1/2" thick. It was packed with bacon and cheese, and the sandwich was toasted the way I liked. The croissant was buttery and flakey, and overall I enjoyed the sandwich. There wasn't anything unique about the sandwich though, it was just a solid breakfast croissant sandwich that was made well. No special sauces or other ingredients. I guess that's why it's the classic. The staff was nice and pleasant, and our food and drinks were made in a reasonable amount of time. I do think the food and drink were a bit overpriced for what it was (our bill was ~$40 for two sandwiches and two drinks), but they say the ingredients are all locally sourced so I'm assuming that's why. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd certainly choose this The Seed over a larger chain coffee shop. Just know that the dollars can add up quickly here!

I'll start with the positives; the bagels were fresh and the scallion cream cheese was worth the $1.99 upcharge. My friend enjoyed his coffee, and he liked that they left a carafe on the table so he didn't have to wait for refills. The rest of the meal was a complete letdown, as both of our egg orders were wrong, and neither the eggs nor the home fries had any flavor. And the food was also very greasy and just not very good. It was a disaster. I understand mistakes happen, but this wasn't just one issue, it was both of our breakfasts. When we politely sent our breakfasts back, our server became irritated and argumentative, instead of apologizing or trying to make things right. Then, when we questioned a $4.99 charge for the scallion cream cheese upcharge, she became just mean and arrogant. The actual charge was $1.99, and the manager corrected her error. I always try to be fair in my reviews because everyone can have an off day, but a an arrogant and nasty attitude is completely unacceptable behavior. Definitely not coming back anytime soon, as I will continue to support my favorite bagel spots where I can get both good food and service without any attitude.

The bagels are VERY small, the 2 tomato slices look like they were on somebody else's plate 3 days ago and same for the 1 slice of cucumber, but the worst part is the incredibly SMALL amount of nova, it's a joke. Two VERY thin, VERY small pieces of nova, not even enough for one bagel. So thin you can see the plate through the nova, barely 2-finger wide and about 4-5 inches long. Any other place would call it a "mini nova platter" and would charge you about $7-7.50 for it. I came here a few times a good while back, something has changed and not for the better. I should have suspected something when I only saw 6 people when I walked in! VERY overpriced & under-portioned.
