I picked up an appointment card, and Lady Jin said they could fix something that had come loose if I just dropped off the car for the next day (they were full up on appointments that particular day). They have a small spot to park your car and there is a slot on the left side of the right bay door where you can drop off your key for the next day. Lady Jin even encouraged me to text her with any details, and she and her husband texted back in a timely fashion. Mine was a minor job, so she only charged $20 for the part, insisting she didn't mind doing such a small, quick task for free. I remember one time going to (brother) Jin to have him certify a paper confirming that I had fixed my broken tail light and when I asked how much I owed him, he waved me off like it was a silly notion. Lady Jin said they are proud to serve the local community and want to be an affordable option. I might start making this my go-to place for regular work. She said they do most jobs (oil change, brakes, engine issues, tire rotation), though they don't do wheel alignments. If you want to support a small, family-run business that really takes care of you and your vehicle, consider Jin's!

Reasons you should make Ridgeway your independent auto service garage of choice:…read more 1) They're honest - if they come across anything unexpected or that wasn't on the work estimate, they call you. If there's any question, they'll take you into the shop and show you what needs fixing and why. 2) They're reasonable - Prices aren't out of this world, even for foreign cars. They don't replace parts just because they can, either. I've never had a service with them go over the estimate unless they uncovered a larger, unanticipated problem. 3) They deliver on time - when they say they'll finish servicing your vehicle by a certain time, it's almost always done by that time. If you've got a rush job, they'll try to fit you in when they can, and usually manage to get your repair done by your requested time. 4) They don't treat you like an idiot, even if you wear a skirt - my wife gets the same professional treatment as I do. When she took a previous car in thinking the power steering pump would need replacing, they reassured her that a much less expensive belt and tensioner would be all that was necessary. 5) They're pretty friendly, too - Ridgeway's been in the neighborhood for a long time, and they work to maintain their reputation. Plus they get to work in a cool old gas station as the front part of their garage center. Bonus: Even though they don't advertise as such, they originally specialized in Volkswagen service and repair, and still retain a lot of that business. Good VW shops are hard to find, and they've been doing them @ Ridgeway for decades.

I figured that I either have a leak in my tire(s) or the air pressure sensor wasn't working. I relied on good old Yelp to find a shop nearby and came across Caton Auto. I dropped off my car and I always get a little uneasy at auto shops cause you feel like you're vulnerable but my experience was amazing. I checked in and waited in the lobby. They have free water, snacks and coffee. They came up to me shortly after and said that my sensor wasn't working and there was no pressure on getting it replaced. They said it would cost about $200 to fix and it actually was the price I was expecting if that was the issue. I just didn't want to pay that for a sensor. And the mechanic told me that he doesn't blame me. I asked how much it would be and he said nothing. They even adjusted my tire pressure since some were off due to filling it with air at the gas stations and they aren't the most accurate. I really wasn't expecting this kind of service and would come back to this place in the future for services to my vehicle. Awesome place!

Caton Auto Clinic - Excellent Customer Service, but Get an Estimate First To Be Sure…read more Caton Auto Clinic provides excellent customer service and is affiliated with AAA. They offer a convenient after-hours drop-off box, a nice waiting area, and a location right off a major beltway. I was also impressed by how clean and well-maintained the parking lot and repair facility were. With over 35 years in business, they clearly have an established presence in the community. My main concern was the cost of diagnostics and repairs. I was quoted approximately $900 for diagnostics and the recommended work, with individual diagnostic charges ranging from about $160-$200 (see attached estimate). After getting additional estimates, I found a local garage that was able to complete ALL the repairs for about the same price as Caton Auto Clinic's original quote. Since my son's car was older, the repair cost was approaching the overall value of the vehicle, so I had to carefully consider whether the expense made sense. I understand that quality service and experienced technicians come at a cost, but I recommend asking for a detailed estimate and clarifying all diagnostic fees upfront before authorizing any work. I also noticed their billboard advertising a $79.99 oil change, which seems like a great deal in today's market! Overall, Caton Auto Clinic has a lot of positives, including friendly customer service, a clean facility, and a convenient location , coffee area . If I had a newer car, I would absolutely consider using them. For an older vehicle, however, I would recommend comparing estimates first to make sure the cost of repairs is worthwhile.

Communication was too notch and they showed up right on time as scheduled, they knocked the job out in 90 min to my satisfaction. Summary: Confirmed appointments were missed twice with no communication, and I was unable to reach a real person despite multiple attempts. Prior service also showed inconsistencies. Detailed timeline: * I scheduled an appointment for my 2017 Polaris Slingshot. * I received a text confirmation for an 11:45 AM appointment and confirmed it the night before per instructions. * I arrived before the scheduled time and waited. * No one showed up at 11:45 AM. * I called multiple times but was only able to leave messages through an automated (AI) system. * About 30 minutes later, I received a message that my appointment was rescheduled to 12:45 PM, with instructions to confirm by pressing "1." I accepted and received confirmation. * No one showed up at 12:45 PM either. * I continued calling and leaving messages over the next couple of hours with no response. * I ultimately left around 3:00 PM after waiting several hours. * The first time I was contacted by a real person was moments after posting a review, and the call was argumentative rather than focused on resolving the issue. Additional context (prior service): * The week prior, I had them work on two different vehicles. * One vehicle was repaired correctly. * The second vehicle only worked for a couple of hours before the issue returned. * I planned to have that second vehicle looked at again during this scheduled visit. * During that prior service: * The technician arrived approximately 3 hours late. * Even though they knew in advance they would be replacing an oxygen sensor, they did not bring the proper tools and had to leave to purchase the correct socket before completing the job. * No test drive was performed afterward to verify the repair. Key issue: This is not about job authorization. It is about: * Missed appointments * Lack of communication * No ability to reach a human representative * Inconsistent service execution and preparation Conclusion: If you rely on timely service, proper preparation, and the ability to communicate with a real person, this was not my experience. Based on what happened, the only time I received a response was after posting a negative review, which shouldn't be necessary to get basic communication.

When I arrived, I waited about 15 mins to talk to someone at the counter. I confirmed the type of tires I wanted, and then they asked if I "wanted" a tire alignment when they change my tires. I answered yes, because that is needed when getting tires replaced. They said it would be an extra $130 for that, which brought my less than $500 quote to over $600. After complaining, they said they "found" a discount for $100, so my new total would be around $560. I was irritated, but just accepted my fate and paid. I left, then came back 4 hours late to pick up my car, which they said was still not finished. They offered to have me pick it up the next morning, but I needed my car to get to work, so they said I could bring it back the next day to get the alignment. I brought it back the next day, and was called around 2 hours later to come pick it up. When I arrived, I waited at the front counter for around 15 minutes with no one coming up to help me. I went into the garage and said I just needed to pick up my keys and leave, and finally someone came to help me. When giving me my keys, they told me my car was fine to begin with and practically didn't even need the alignment. That pissed me off because I paid an extra $130 to have the alignment and inconvenienced myself and my sister to drop off and pick up my car again. When I got my car back, I noticed the "new" tires they gave me were extremely dirty and dusty, which they didn't bother to clean off. Overall, the inaccurate quote, waste of time, and waste of money was very frustrating, and I would not recommend this location if you're looking to have speedy service done to your car.

The crew and Siwan work exceptionally hard and there's a constant flow of customer base with a wide variety of brands, makes, and models. There's a ton of pros I can give off but I think the primary one is the fact that Siwan is customer first. Don't want to give all the details but just know he will take care of you because he has a perspective unlike most. There's no perfect experience and the one con I will give is their delegation of workflow. I think if there was an admin assistant to take care of majority of front of house, appointments, paperwork, etc. it would take it to another level than it already is. Siwan seems aware of this and is seeking good help to manage the flow. Nonetheless a great experience again. 5 stars

As a single woman and a…read moremother, it can be really hard to find a mechanic you can trust without feeling like you're being taken advantage of. Unfortunately, that has been my experience more times than I'd like to admit. The first shop I called gave me a bad feeling right away based on their customer service, but I still made an appointment. Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one. Thank you all for your help.
