I picked up an appointment card, and Lady Jin said they could fix something that had come loose if I just dropped off the car for the next day (they were full up on appointments that particular day). They have a small spot to park your car and there is a slot on the left side of the right bay door where you can drop off your key for the next day. Lady Jin even encouraged me to text her with any details, and she and her husband texted back in a timely fashion. Mine was a minor job, so she only charged $20 for the part, insisting she didn't mind doing such a small, quick task for free. I remember one time going to (brother) Jin to have him certify a paper confirming that I had fixed my broken tail light and when I asked how much I owed him, he waved me off like it was a silly notion. Lady Jin said they are proud to serve the local community and want to be an affordable option. I might start making this my go-to place for regular work. She said they do most jobs (oil change, brakes, engine issues, tire rotation), though they don't do wheel alignments. If you want to support a small, family-run business that really takes care of you and your vehicle, consider Jin's!

I had a previous terrible review posted for Caton Auto. It was a fair, accurate review and I stand…read moreby it (I will post it at the end). However, eventually I complained enough that they "unretired" a general manager who seemed the only one to understand how to address warranty issues and they agreed to repair my vehicle. It took a year to get the warranty honored and to be heard. Let that sink in- a year. And they had to "unretire" a person to get customer service to happen. Crazy. So I scheduled almost a month in advance. It still took them three days with minimal communication and maybe I'm just bitter but I am very surprised the unretired general manager (Mr. Kenny, if you're wondering who it is) never contact me again to see why I was frustrated about the length of time it was taking. Or to see if the problem was finally resolved. Or to see if I'd change my reviews. So, I am happy to report they honored the warranty but I would never recommend these guys unless you're desperate. If you're a woman, I would recommend you drive away as fast as your car can go.

I'm documenting my experience with Devon Mobile Mechanic and attaching screenshots of confirmations…read moreand messages for accuracy. Summary: Confirmed appointments were missed twice with no communication, and I was unable to reach a real person despite multiple attempts. Prior service also showed inconsistencies. Detailed timeline: * I scheduled an appointment for my 2017 Polaris Slingshot. * I received a text confirmation for an 11:45 AM appointment and confirmed it the night before per instructions. * I arrived before the scheduled time and waited. * No one showed up at 11:45 AM. * I called multiple times but was only able to leave messages through an automated (AI) system. * About 30 minutes later, I received a message that my appointment was rescheduled to 12:45 PM, with instructions to confirm by pressing "1." I accepted and received confirmation. * No one showed up at 12:45 PM either. * I continued calling and leaving messages over the next couple of hours with no response. * I ultimately left around 3:00 PM after waiting several hours. * The first time I was contacted by a real person was moments after posting a review, and the call was argumentative rather than focused on resolving the issue. Additional context (prior service): * The week prior, I had them work on two different vehicles. * One vehicle was repaired correctly. * The second vehicle only worked for a couple of hours before the issue returned. * I planned to have that second vehicle looked at again during this scheduled visit. * During that prior service: * The technician arrived approximately 3 hours late. * Even though they knew in advance they would be replacing an oxygen sensor, they did not bring the proper tools and had to leave to purchase the correct socket before completing the job. * No test drive was performed afterward to verify the repair. Key issue: This is not about job authorization. It is about: * Missed appointments * Lack of communication * No ability to reach a human representative * Inconsistent service execution and preparation Conclusion: If you rely on timely service, proper preparation, and the ability to communicate with a real person, this was not my experience. Based on what happened, the only time I received a response was after posting a negative review, which shouldn't be necessary to get basic communication.

Come noon the next day I had not received a phone call from A1-Auto informing me that the tires had arrived. I called the shop several times but no one picked up. I went down to the shop and arrived at 12:30 P.M. Dan stated to me in a very rude fashion: "I told you to be here at 12." I informed him that he did not tell me to be there at 12, but instead that he stated to me that he would call me when the tires arrived and that I should then come to the shop after I received his call. Dan then informed me that the closest appointment for rescheduling was 3 days away which was too long for me to wait. I then asked for a refund which I eventually received but still had to pay a $60 tire restocking fee which I shouldn't have had to pay because it was Dan's fault for not calling me to inform me that the tires had come in, which is what he said he would do when I initially paid for the tires. This place is a ripoff & they steal their customers' money. I instead took my business to Midas of Catonsville and received prompt, courteous & competent service.

The employees at the front desk are phenominal and the mechanics are super fast and talented. I feel like I am part of a family there. Regardless of how long it has been since I have called, they always remember me and welcome my business. It is a smaller location on liberty road and it is a bit if a fast turn into the parking lot but the business itself is not hard to find at all. It is super easy to schedule an appointment online, by phone, or in person. There is a shuttle service if you need to go while your car is being worked on. When I arrived, I waited about 15 mins to talk to someone at the counter. I confirmed the type of tires I wanted, and then they asked if I "wanted" a tire alignment when they change my tires. I answered yes, because that is needed when getting tires replaced. They said it would be an extra $130 for that, which brought my less than $500 quote to over $600. After complaining, they said they "found" a discount for $100, so my new total would be around $560. I was irritated, but just accepted my fate and paid. I left, then came back 4 hours late to pick up my car, which they said was still not finished. They offered to have me pick it up the next morning, but I needed my car to get to work, so they said I could bring it back the next day to get the alignment. I brought it back the next day, and was called around 2 hours later to come pick it up. When I arrived, I waited at the front counter for around 15 minutes with no one coming up to help me. I went into the garage and said I just needed to pick up my keys and leave, and finally someone came to help me. When giving me my keys, they told me my car was fine to begin with and practically didn't even need the alignment. That pissed me off because I paid an extra $130 to have the alignment and inconvenienced myself and my sister to drop off and pick up my car again. When I got my car back, I noticed the "new" tires they gave me were extremely dirty and dusty, which they didn't bother to clean off. Overall, the inaccurate quote, waste of time, and waste of money was very frustrating, and I would not recommend this location if you're looking to have speedy service done to your car.

As a single woman and a…read moremother, it can be really hard to find a mechanic you can trust without feeling like you're being taken advantage of. Unfortunately, that has been my experience more times than I'd like to admit. The first shop I called gave me a bad feeling right away based on their customer service, but I still made an appointment. Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one. Thank you all for your help.
