I remember a time when techs would drive cars once brought in to determine an issue. Well, I came in a while back to address a rattling sound in my car. I was charged over $400 or $500 to correct the issue just for me to leave and immediately continue hearing the rattling before I left the lot. I was so mad that I didn't even turn back around nor called about it. I just decided I wasn't returning and took the loss, and that's on me. I don't know what the resolution would have been if I took action. However, what I do know is that I went elsewhere to have the issue fixed. It took the tech under a minute to detect the issue by riding with me around the corner of their building. The service cost under $300. Baltimore National Pike location: First & foremost, As law enforcement & as someone who deals with the public on a regular basis, the behavior, rudeness & unprofessional behavior from the staff there was unacceptable & unprofessional! Dorian Rowe, the greeter, the person who schedule my appointment & the most rudest of the staff. I called & scheduled my appointment for 12pm 6/8/26. I arrived 15 mins early. I inquired about an "estimated" timeframe. He responded with well, there's those 2 vehicles there on the lift that are in front of you so I'd say roughly 2 1/2 hours for your alignment & oil change. I say okay.@ 2:30 I called & asked for an update. He said we're almost done, give us 45 mins. I gave more than that. I returned at 5pm. My car had NOTHING DONE! I immediately asked why? His response was if you don't want to wait, you can take your car... I became upset & responded you got to be kidding me. Only to find out from a sitting customer that her appt was at 1pm for the same and they completed her car B4 mine. My car was driven out of the shop and parked. I had to go back in to ask why.. Dorian Rowe then said i thought you said no. I advised him that i NEVER told you that, please take my car back in & finish what i scheduled and asked for. 20 mins later after driving my truck back in, he says your done. So if it only took 20 mins to do a 4 wheel alignment & an oil change, why did i have to wait from 11:45 am to 6pm to have the services completed on my truck. Why was i 3rd in line and another customer informing me that her appt. was at 1pm and finished when i walked in at 5pm?? She was waiting for her keys and advised me that they were taking walk-ins while my truck was parked outside. I called and made a complaint via their corporate office and i will file a complaint with the BBB. I have not received such terrible, unapologetic, with non-accountability & unprofessional behavior in a long time. I work hard and definitely did not want to spend 280.00 for that kind of service. I live in Catonsville and pass several shops ( Mr. Tire, NTB, Sams) and other places i could have stopped at. Lesson learned. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Took car in for noise from Right rear wheel area. Firestone said thorough inspection was done and I needed brake calipers and new brake pads and charged above $1000.00. Reported no change in the noise next morning and was asked to drive for a week to observe any change. No change in noise. Then vehicle was re-inspected, now suddenly it was the wheel bearing that was loose and needed fixing for over $500.00. If thorough inspection was done and loose bearing missed, at initial wheel take down, loose bearing ought to have been seen and I should have been advised there and then. Advisor initial said technician on duty does not repair bearing only to catch herself and tried hopelessly to explain the miss. HORIBLE WORK AT MY SECOND FIRESTONE SITE. Wheel and tire experts cannot even diagnose loose wheel bearing. DISGRACEFUL. read more

For my visit on Saturday, September 7, 2024 I had a 9am appointment scheduled to get my rear valve cover replaced. It's currently 12:32 and my car is still parked in the spot I parked it at 8:50am when I got here. Went to the desk to check on the wait, I was told my car is next in line... again it's 12:32pm and my appointment was at 9am. I don't plan to come back to this location if I don't have to. first off the staff here are lovely, very kind, and informative about the required care for my car. However, I made an appointment for 2pm, for a simple oil change and tire rotation, my care is a 2025, so didn't need much. I arrived at 2pm, and waited for my car, and I did not leave until 5 pm. They did not have my car done until 5 pm. I was very frustrated, and asked what the point of an appointment was, they informed me that they never know what the car before mine could need. However, I saw several people come and go with their cars serviced, between those 3 hours. Was very frustrating, I didn't expect this, and had to cancel some of my patients for the afternoon. Arrived 30 minutes early just to be told that they did not have a technician at that location who could do the service. It would have been nice to have received a phone call before arriving instead of wasting time going to the location. Then today, the 22nd I received a phone call stating that they did not have a tech to service my vehicle. My appointment was scheduled for yesterday. This call came a day late. I have had nothing but bad luck with Firestone second time using them they broke my driver side mirror and did say a word they did reimburse me for the mirror but nobody really ever apologized this time I made an appointment for 9am on 8/12 drop my vehicle off at 8am for brake job and washer blades I figured they would call me by 11am no call at 1:45 pm called said my truck was next at 4:00 pm called ask about my truck they didn't even start they said they tried calling but they didn't went to pick up my truck was told the brake guy didn't get there until 3 not my problem but they made sure my blades got changed @ 64.00 dollars rest assured I will pay them off and cancel my credit with them and never use again or recommend them to anyone and I have a typo when comes to the mirror they didn't say a word. My check tire pressure light came on just before I got on 695, on a day I could NOT have a tire fail (designated parent to get teen to AP exam) They were able to get my car in (ok, it was 8a but still)-and it's issues addressed, and me on my way. I bought 4 new tires got the warranty on all tires and acouple months later the tire is having a slow leak so I go there for them to look at the tires waited 2 hours and they tell me it's no leak and that because of the shocks being worn out air is going out...which doesn't add up I never heard that in my life...so I take my car to a friends mechanic shop and he takes out the tire and shows me a big nail in the back tire and sprays it which shows the leak....I paid over 800$ for the warranty and tires because I thought they were professionals and knew what they were doing ....who on earth would say the tire air keeps going out because of the shocks and then they give me a paper that says it will be over 1100$ to fix all the problems....brakes are new snd shocks are in good condition it's a 2016 Corolla....I had to pay 20$ somewhere else to plug my tire in addition read more

I got there per there request at 8 when they opened and was told it would be 2 hour job. 45 mins past before they even looked at my car took over a hour to tell me issue and when authorized work, they never said they did not have parts in stock so another hour past and now 4 hours in, they are still not done! 3/7/23 @ 11am... So I scheduled an appointment to get an alignment because I thought I knocked my tires out of alignment when I hit a pothole. The store manager Chris told me it may be something else that was causing the bumpy drive so he encouraged me to get a complete check to see if I actually needed an alignment or something else, which I agreed to. 12pm rolls around and I haven't heard any prognosis so I figured they were busy so I approached Chris to let him know I wanted to wait at home and they can call me when they figure out what was wrong with my car. He told me that they were just finishing up with the diagnostic and he was going to go over what they discovered. So I waited another 30 minutes. I decided to call my husband to come and get me. He arrived around 1pm and I wanted to let the employees know that I was leaving and to call me when they figured out what I needed to get done. Before I left a young lady told me that they had a suggestion list of add on services such as an oil change, so on and so forth... She said they were still looking into the main issue that I brought my car in for and either she or Chris will call me with the results of the inspection. She seemed like she had an attitude for some reason but I paid it no mind and left with my husband. So its 3:30pm and I still haven't received a call to let me know what I should get done. I called and a young man answered and put me on hold for 10 mins to find out what was going on. He came back on the line and said I needed a caliper. I told him I was close by and would discuss it further in the store. I walk in and this nice lady started to help me but was interrupted by the disgruntled female employee from earlier. She told her that she had my paperwork and was finalizing it. She handed the paperwork over to the other employee rudely almost dropping the papers on the floor. Not one time did she look my way and talked as if I wasn't right there telling the other employee just to ring it up because she already went over the add-ons (I don't know why she was so rude because I was polite during the whole process). I was confused because I was waiting for them to call me to discuss what needed to be done to fix my car. But it seems they did work without my consult. So to conclude, they went ahead and did an alignment without calling me to let me know if that's what I needed. I paid for the service and was ready to get my car and go before I got out of character. On my way home my car still has the bumping vibration coming from one of the front wheels. (The only reason why I took it in) So now I'm out like $115 and my car still needs work. Never again will I give them my money. Find other options for your vehicle maintenance because the lack of communication and customer service at this place is ridiculous. read more

The manager here is an amazing guy. I brought my car in on a busy day once and there was a lot of stuff that needed to get done. Mind you, I had a lot of work that I needed to get done on the car. On a Sunday that the store is usually not even open, the manager, Ryan, stayed until 8 pm to make sure my car gets taken care of. He kept calling and kept me in the loop and he worked to get me a great deal. I used to go to the Other Firestone in Catonsville on Rolling Road but I have officially changed. This store is usually not as busy, so it's a lot easier for me to just drop in. Keep in mind, this is a firestone. If you're coming to get the cheapest product, you won't find that. Misleading with their prices and waited for 4 hours to have a simple tire change. I would strongly advise people to avoid!

Went here on April 24 to get new tires. They broke off one of the tire pressure gauges and charged me $90 for it because they said it was corroded. Then, they couldn't get it to work with my car and told me that I had to take it to the dealer to get it fixed. I was told that they would reimburse me the price to get the tire gauge to talk to the car's computer since they couldn't figure out how to do it. 2 dealers and 3 appointments later (3 days of work missed), the dealer 45 miles away from where I live determined that they used the wrong part. Once the correct part was put on the car, things worked perfectly. Both dealerships told me that there's no way the original part could have been corroded. I went back to Firestone to get reimbursed for the time at the dealer. The guy at Firestone told me that since so many of the car manufacturers use metal caps, the gauges can become corroded. I've been the original owner of my car, and they've only ever had plastic caps on them. You would think they'd at least comp me the $90 for them being completely incompetent by putting the wrong part on the car and driving from Baltimore to Annapolis twice and missing 3 days work, but no. The only thing the guy did was complain about how much the dealer charged for fixing their mistake. Today is June 27 and this nightmare wasn't over until yesterday. Want to waste time, money, gas, and get screwed and stressed for 2 months, then go here. read more

I had a slow leak on one of my tires. I stopped by and I was told it would take about 4hrs, so I dropped of the tire which I had taken off my car myself. I got a call after a couple of hours by Jaki and she informed me that there was no leak and I was not being charged. Unbeknownst to me that they had thorn off my TPMS and replaced it with a regular stem without telling me. I went home and placed the tire on my car and by that evening my daughter took the car out not knowing that it was flat. This resulted in the destruction of that tire. I had to buy a new tire. Terrible attitude! I bought my tires here and had my rotations done always at firestone. However, today, when we found my tires have design defect from the factory and need replacement, they told me they could not find the record showing I bought them from firestone. So many times of rotation for free and never asked me for the proof of purchase but asked this time when a major warranty is supposed to be honored! They gave me the feeling they are not willing to help about the warranty but just eager to sell me another set of tires. Don't buy tire there!!!! read more

Brought Car in Sept 15,2017 first worked with Kyle Brooks which wasnt the most pleasant experience was told needed a catalytic converter for my 2006 Audi plus 500 in wiring that needed to be replaced on the car. Rude,stink attitude non shalant as if me wanting to get the best pricing was not my choice and they could not just fix the catalytic converter that I needed to fix everything so I did. Got the car same day returned it because check engine light came right back on car was not riding correctly. Returned spoke with Mike whom said he was management had someone look at the vehicle and took care of the problem. Was told if my check engine light was to come back on that I could bring in the car to be checked free of charge. I spent over $1800 dollars. I returned April 2018 because my light returned on and was experiencing the same problem was told by Kyle Brooks that Mike is no longer there and I will be charged I explained I was not told this yesterday when I spoke to the receptionist and asked would I be charged and was told no because it was a recheck. When I returned to 5610 Baltimore National Pike 4/11/18 I was told I was trying to get over and get my car looked at for free and I explained how when the car was brought here 6 months ago and I was told by manager Mike to bring it back if the Check engine light returned and I got multiple things fixed on the car .I also work and did not have the time to run back and forth because the check engine light came on prior before this just never got the chance to come in for the issue. I do not like the way I was talked to nor treated when I put out almost $2000 dollars and was told previously that my car would be diagnosed free of charge by Mike and now non customer service Kyle Brooks is saying differently. I walked into this Firestone without an appointment, straight from my dealers service center after being told my tires were literally falling apart and were dangerous to drive on. The dealer wanted a ridiculous amount to replace my tires, so I went down the street to find a better deal. Wade at Firestone was so helpful when I walked in, and gave me a fair price for some great tires. I also ended up having a few other services done while I was there, all at very reasonable prices as well. I am very happy with my new tires and will definitely be recommending this place. read more

I will never take another vehicle to this so called automotive shop and I will tell everyone I know not to take there cars there either. I took my car to firestone because the temperature gauge was on hot. They called me and told me that my car didn't have a thermostat in it and to fix it and some other work it would cost over 500$ so they said they fixed my car. Not soon after I get my car I called and told them my temperature gauge was moving up and they told me it was because it's hot outside. I said ok. So l was driving home last week and and my RPM like jumped twice and I happened to look at my temperature gauge and it was on the H. I got home called firestone and they told me to drop it off the next day n they will try and get to it. I told them yall just supposedly fixed it I have to go to work I can drop it off tonight and of you have a drop box I can put the keys in there. I dropped my car off. The next day they told me it was fixed the thermostat wasn't pulled out all the way and it was fixed. I started to drive the car to the gas station about 10 minutes away and the temperature gauge went up again and this time the car started smoking. My husband of course not happy called firestone had some words with the manager and he had a tow truck come get the car and we met at firestone and the manager was there and he said they would take care of the problem. My husband called them later the next day and was told they hadn't had a chance to get to my car yet after its been sitting there. So I called and was told this time the technician had a chance to look at it and checked some things it might be the water pump but he's not sure until he checks it tomorrow. The next day comes and they say it's not the water pump something had to be cleaned or flushed and they ran the car for 2 hours and it didn't over heat. So my son and his friend pick up my car while I was at work. I haven't drove my car. Until today. My husband went to the store 15minutes away and came back and said your car is smoking again. I'm so pissed because this place charged me over 500$ and didn't fix the problem. I'm going to call consumer affairs Monday and im going good to file a claim at smalls claim court. And whoever else I need to call. You should know what is wrong with people's car that's what you get paid for. I'm going to take it to them one last time if it's not fixed. Then I will go forward with my court filing and my phone calls. I bet if I take it to another shop they could fix it but I have a warranty and I'm not paying anyone else to fix there mistake.
