This location destroyed the master cylinder of my car, and refused to take ownership of the $500+ worth of damages to my vehicle. On February 9th I went in for an oil change, then on February 24th the master cylinder of my car went out causing the brakes of the vehicle to be no longer responsive. Putting my life and countless others at risk. Prior to February 9th the brakes on my vehicle were completely fine. This was because the jiffy lube location mixed incorrect fluids in my vehicle. When I brought my car to a different mechanic he showed evidence of a different mix of liquids in the blake fluids. (Which you can clearly see different fluids in the attached photo) I filed a customer complaint and today I spoke with Nick from the catonsville jiffy lube 667-231-9648. who refused to do anything about it. He said lines such as "we would never make a mistake like this." Followed by "I have gotten dozens of complaints like this" then continue to say "I know we don't hire the brightest guys." He kept shutting me down and refusing that his location would ever do anything wrong. They have still done nothing about this. Do not go to this jiffy lube location.

Not sure what they charged me for because this does not look like an "oil change"

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went to this location for an oil change. My car was running fine before arriving. I paid $35 (using a coupon and ignoring the ridiculous additional suggestions they recommended at insane prices). When I left my car was making all sorts of sounds. I came home and checked my oil to discover that my oil was never changed. I should've read their reviews before going to this location to realize that they have a record of taking advantage of women and elderly. I tried calling and spoke with Nick who claimed to be the manager. His explanation is that I probably just don't get my car serviced regularly (which is not true) and it's normal for oil to be this color after an oil change. Nick's unprofessionalism was just pour salt on the wound to describe my overall experience. Absolutely ridiculous.

Further proof of how the underside of the car is bent due to improper lifting equipment/carelessness

The engine air filter didn't fit my vehicle, but was still installed, and the the air intake box wasn't closed properly.

So my Saturn Vue has been annoying the hell out of me. I've been having an issue with the tire…read morepressure indicator and when I put air, the warning would've turn off. I figured that I either have a leak in my tire(s) or the air pressure sensor wasn't working. I relied on good old Yelp to find a shop nearby and came across Caton Auto. I dropped off my car and I always get a little uneasy at auto shops cause you feel like you're vulnerable but my experience was amazing. I checked in and waited in the lobby. They have free water, snacks and coffee. They came up to me shortly after and said that my sensor wasn't working and there was no pressure on getting it replaced. They said it would cost about $200 to fix and it actually was the price I was expecting if that was the issue. I just didn't want to pay that for a sensor. And the mechanic told me that he doesn't blame me. I asked how much it would be and he said nothing. They even adjusted my tire pressure since some were off due to filling it with air at the gas stations and they aren't the most accurate. I really wasn't expecting this kind of service and would come back to this place in the future for services to my vehicle. Awesome place!

Caton Auto Clinic - Excellent Customer Service, but Get an Estimate First To Be Sure…read more Caton Auto Clinic provides excellent customer service and is affiliated with AAA. They offer a convenient after-hours drop-off box, a nice waiting area, and a location right off a major beltway. I was also impressed by how clean and well-maintained the parking lot and repair facility were. With over 35 years in business, they clearly have an established presence in the community. My main concern was the cost of diagnostics and repairs. I was quoted approximately $900 for diagnostics and the recommended work, with individual diagnostic charges ranging from about $160-$200 (see attached estimate). After getting additional estimates, I found a local garage that was able to complete ALL the repairs for about the same price as Caton Auto Clinic's original quote. Since my son's car was older, the repair cost was approaching the overall value of the vehicle, so I had to carefully consider whether the expense made sense. I understand that quality service and experienced technicians come at a cost, but I recommend asking for a detailed estimate and clarifying all diagnostic fees upfront before authorizing any work. I also noticed their billboard advertising a $79.99 oil change, which seems like a great deal in today's market! Overall, Caton Auto Clinic has a lot of positives, including friendly customer service, a clean facility, and a convenient location , coffee area . If I had a newer car, I would absolutely consider using them. For an older vehicle, however, I would recommend comparing estimates first to make sure the cost of repairs is worthwhile.

I stopped in on a Sunday morning after my back tire pressure read 14 psi…read more I pulled in behind a van on one of the bays and I was helped by a young man, I think his name may have been Jeff or Josh. Handsome man And I explained to him what was going on and he told me to pull to the side of the building that has the air pump. I sat there for no less than 5 minutes when he came over and asked me which tire needed air and proceeded to fill it up to the manufacturer's spec. Prompt service, great attitude. I would return for something similar.

Urgent Service Complaint - Request to Speak with District Manager Bill Nelson…read more Hello, I am writing to formally request contact with District Manager Bill Nelson regarding a serious service issue that occurred at the Jiffy Lube located at 6116 Baltimore National Pike, Catonsville, MD 21228. On 8/5/2025, I brought my 2010 Acura TSX to this location for an oil change. Prior to this service, my vehicle was operating without any issues. Within 48 hours of the oil change, I experienced a significant oil or fluid leak that has since caused my serpentine belt to pop and my engine to overheat. This has resulted in both safety concerns and costly repair needs. Given the circumstances and the direct timeline between the service and the damage, I need to discuss this matter with the district manager promptly to determine a resolution. Please forward my message and contact details to Mr. Nelson immediately. I am available by phone or email and can provide photographs, repair estimates, and mechanic statements to support my claim.
