This has been the most frustrating, time-consuming, and costly service experience I've ever had, and I highly advise anyone considering Firestone for brake work to look elsewhere. It all began when I brought my car in for squealing brakes. After nine visits, countless hours lost, and an astonishing lack of professionalism, the issue was finally resolved, but at a tremendous cost to me, both in time and frustration. *Initial Brake Job Gone Wrong* The initial problem involved a grinding noise coming from my rear brakes. Over the course of the first six visits (yes, six), the staff repeatedly failed to resolve the issue. It wasn't until they completely redid the rear drum brakes that the problem was finally fixed. But by then, I had wasted numerous hours going back and forth, dealing with the same problem over and over again. *Unnecessary Repairs and Poor Communication* What makes this even worse is that it's possible the rear drum brakes weren't even the real issue. The original grinding problem seemed to have been resolved after resurfacing the front rotors during the third visit, raising serious questions about whether the rear brake work was needed at all. This just adds to my frustration and makes me feel like I was charged for work that wasn't necessary. In addition to the poor repair work, the communication throughout this entire process was abysmal. I was initially asked to bring printed copies of my Uber and Lyft receipts (which totaled $120+) to the store manager, Eddie. After wasting my time pulling up, printing, and bringing in those receipts, I was told they actually needed to be emailed instead. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, and it caused me even more unnecessary effort. *Front Brake Issues After Resurfacing* Just when I thought the nightmare was over, another problem cropped up. After Firestone resurfaced my front brakes as part of their attempts to fix the rear, my front brakes began making a low-pitched, pulsing grinding noise when braking from low speeds. I could feel the vibration through the brake pedal, and it's louder than the original issue with the rear brakes. Given that Firestone also replaced these front brakes last year, I can't help but feel this issue is the result of the subpar workmanship that seems to be a recurring theme here. *Unprofessional Staff and Long Waits* The staff at this location exhibited a shocking lack of professionalism. On more than one occasion, when I came to pick up my car, I was left waiting in the lobby because no one was at the counter. During my seventh or eighth visit, I had to interrupt the technicians to ask them to find Eddie, the manager. There was simply no concern for customer service or even basic courtesy. The store manager had the nerve to say that he "didn't want his store to take the hit." With all due respect, I don't care about your store's bottom line-I care about the hit I took in lost time, transportation expenses, and hours of frustration. *A History of Poor Service* Last year, when I brought my car in for front brake repairs, they over-torqued the rotors, causing pulsing when braking. After fighting with me and insisting nothing was wrong, they finally admitted fault after a manager drove the car and noticed the issue. They replaced the rotors for a second time. Despite this, I made the mistake of giving Firestone another chance, thinking this time would be different. I deeply regret that decision. *Final Resolution After 9 Visits* After nine visits and considerable stress, Firestone, through the intervention of an area manager, was able to finally get my car in proper working order. Not only were their repairs faulty, but their customer service was appalling, their staff was rude and dismissive, and their management seemed more concerned with avoiding internal penalties than actually resolving customer issues. I was able to get the brake job refunded and my Uber receipts covered, I do appreciate this. But the lost time, missing work, and frustration cannot be compensated for. read more

Yelp Fam! The weather outside is frightful & that means that flat tires are standard in the winter. Luckily Jeff & the Team at Firestone really helped me out. I was headed to work when I noticed our car had a flat tire, after frustratingly searching for mechanics. My fiancée gave me the number for Firestone, I spoke with Jeff, who was super helpful and knowledgeable. After a brief conversation about my issue we agreed that We should have the car towed to access the repair. In a flash our tow truck arrived, I met up with Jeff at Firestone. He logged my information and assured me he would take care of me. He had a mechanic assess the tire and gave me estimates for the repair. Even in this crazy time jeff was able to help and provided great customer service. The Firestone was clean, everyone had masks, hand sanitizer was available & the bathroom was clean as well. While I waited I chatted with jeff and by the time we finished our vehicle was almost done. Overall what could of been a very stressful situation was sorted out with tact and efficiency. I don't know why I keep going here...actually, I do. Convenience. But I scheduled an appointment online, I showed up for said appointment, and they were closed. There was a written sign on the door that said they wouldn't open until 8am and my appointment was at 7. No one called to tell me this, no one answered my knock, and they didn't answer the phone though I saw someone inside the facility. So have been to a lot of firestones. Gotta say this store is great. Techs are honest and will always tell ya the truth. Had bent rims @ $700 each and they called a guy to see if he could fix it instead of spending a fortune buying a new one. Again top service techs. Then had low tire pressure. They checked all before I left. When leaving an older lady pulled up saying she had low tire pressure. They jumped right in and checked her 4 tires. I live within a mile of this location so it's suuuper convenient to come here... until it's not. I called on Wednesday to see if they had the tire I needed for a one-tire replacement, they said yes and quoted ~$250 for one tire. Super high price considering the tire itself is $150 but, whatever, convenient. I dropped in the next day at 9am to get it replaced and they said it would take all day, that I could pick up at 5pm. I asked if I could make an appointment and avoid the long wait. They said yes, 9am Friday. I dropped it off and they said 1.5-2 hour wait. Seemed silly for having an appointment and needing ONE replacement but okay. I went to a coffee shop (that'll get exceptional reviews! Mugs around the corner!) and got caught up in work so came back at 1:20pm. When I walked up, two women were outside on their phones and didn't look up or move at all. After a few minutes waiting in an empty lobby, a man came by with a plate of lunch to say "someone will be right with you". After another 5 minutes of waiting someone came in and said they were working on it... right now, and it'll be another 15 minutes (it took another 45 minutes). The woman working was at least explanatory that an appointment "helps" and they're busy because "there's a sale right now" so... $15 measly dollars off and 4.5 hours later I'm still waiting. Also: she popped in to say the person working on it said one other tire needs to be replaced bc it's bald. Lmaoooo wish I could say "cool can you do that one, too?" but I'd rather never come here again and not risk another 4.5 hour wait. Also, I don't believe them as I get them checked at every oil change and last time they were more than fine. Helpful suggestion: be like my dealership and give a number to text for updates and questions, and also... hold your actual appointments and give realistic expectations. If I could EXPECT a 4.5 hr wait for ONE tire I would be annoyed but at least prepared for it, or choose to go to Mr. Tire instead. OH WAIT. Was able to pay and looked at my receipt, which has "road hazard protection" which I a) never asked for and b) wasn't told about. At least give me the option when it comes to up selling??? Definitely got a refund for this $26 bogus charge! Again, the woman working the desk was sweet and helpful when I asked, and she took my annoyed tone in stride. If I could review just her itd be higher as I'm sure she's told to add the hazard BS or it auto-adds. They then called and said they couldn't yet tell what was wrong, but suggested new brakes for $800. Then the next day I told them that will not fix the problem, so don't do it. When I went to pick up the car, they still had no Clue what was wrong and thought it might be electrical. But they had come up with over $2500 of work that they recommended. None of which related to my problem. They also billed me $120 including a "computer"'analysis even though the estimate was only $10. There were no codes reported for the computer analysis. I resisted the offer to fix things that would not have solved my problem. Now I must to take it elsewhere to a more capable repair shop. read more

Mmy truck was there all day, no call back and the manager told me I need two new tires only one could be repaired but we fixed one of the two. 2 new tires w mounting and balancing was estimated to cost over $800. I took it to my mechanic and magically he fixed the tire that could not be fixed told me I do not need any new tires for a while and repaired the bad patch that Firestone did. Oldest daughter needed a new set of tires and alignment for her SUV before taking off for our family's vacation to the Hudson Valley area. I was able to get an appointment by phone that worked. I was also able to get an exact cost from the young lady that helped me. My daughter and I showed up on time and was given an estimate time when the job would be done. We left the car and went on a walking tour of the Federal Hill and Inner Harbour neighborhoods. Daughter got a phone call around the estimate time quoted and we walked back. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. The cost of the services and tires were competitive with other shops. My daughter paid exactly what was quoted over the phone, no surprise. When I came back I asked "Did everything go ok?" The mechanic said yes. I paid and went to my car. Tried the windshield wiper and.. it didn't work. Went back in and told them. The mechanic didn't acknowledge the lack of communication. He just said an electrician would need to check it out and that he is taking the day off tomorrow. He recommended I go to the BP down the street since I was in a hurry. I went there, they looked at the wiper and tightened one bolt. The wiper started working. I gave the BP mechanic $10. Because I got an emailed invoice, I didn't even realize that Firestone had done anything to the wiper until I got home. I had to call them to confirm that they did replace it. read more

The gentleman working the counter told me once I arrived that I would have to leave my car because it was 4p and there was 2 cars ahead of me. Odd because they closed at 6. I left the car overnight and arrived at 10:40am the next day and my car was sitting in the same spot and a parking lot full of cars. STOLE my tire and sold me a new one. I had a flat and had my car towed here. They told me the tire sidewall was punctured (lie) and the tire couldn't be salvaged. So they sold me a mismatched tire for my challenger when all I needed was a patch. Then when I go to pick up my car and ask for the old tire they tell me they already got rid of it. What gives them the right to dispose of my old tire? They clearly scammed me into keeping my old, good condition tire and selling me a new one when all I needed was a patch. They replaced the bulb on my passenger side...the next day my driver side was out! I called firestone back and asked them what could have caused this and they ended up checking my car out for (for electrical/socket issues) free of charge! I told them I would change the second bulb myself and they even threw in the bulb itself for free. The employees were all very friendly and helpful and I appreciated their honesty and willingness to check out the car quickly and free of charge! After going to Advance Auto for a free code scan, it came back that I had a thermostat issue. I found a coupon for a free code check at Firestone, but they sold me on a $99 full diagnostic test that would apparently tell them more than a simple code scan would. Nope, it came back that I had a thermostat issue and they couldn't tell me much else. I had dropped my car off the day before letting them know I would need it by 5 pm the next day. Unfortunately my car wasn't look at until very late in the afternoon so there was no time to really fix the issue. I've been a loyal Firestone customer for the last 3 years, and I'm sorry to say every experience was a bad one. Like many of the reviews, I stayed due to the convenient location, but the service is simply terrible. The receptionist are usually friendly, but my biggest issues are that this Firestone has no regard for my time (once I gave them 8 hrs to do an oil change with a prior appointment and they did it in the last ten minutes when I showed up and made me wait for it again) and replace parts with very low quality parts (I had to get replacements 6 months later from the dealership on 2 different occasions). I wanted to give them a chance, but my patience has finally run out. I do not recommend this place because their lack of transparency and ethics are putting customers in danger on the road. I really hope drastic changes are made soon. Regardless, I will not return as a patron, and on good conscience cannot recommend anyone to go there. read more

I called the next and and was given a new installation date of Tuesday the 17th at 4p. I tried to change my tail light bulb myself, but couldn't get the actual tail light to come out of place. Came here to see if they would help. First thing they said: we don't install customer bulbs. Okay. Then let me pay for your bulb? I just need it changed, doesn't matter much if I have to pay an extra $10. Second thing: the man came out to my car and then in proper fashion condescendingly man-splained how to take the tail light out. I told him I know, I tried before coming. And the continue to explain how taking out bolts work. I'm a woman, but I'm also an engineer and can understand a bolt. Third thing: after finally letting me get a word in and explaining I did in fact take the bolts off before trying to get the light out myself, he asked if I brought my tools. I came to a auto shop, so no, I didn't haul my tools here. He then huffed away to get a socket wrench. My bad. Lastly: The guy barely tried before giving up and telling me to go somewhere else. I get it, you don't want to break my light, no problem. But dude was pretty unhelpful and unwilling to listen to a woman when I came in nothing but polite. I called "Joe" this morning and told him my concerns & he said to come in & they would check it out. I called to make an appointment two days ago and asked them if they could have it done quick and they said yes. I chose them over another tire place because they specifically told me they would have it done quickly. I dropped my car off at 9am and they told me it would be done in a hour. It's 2pm and my car is still not done. I paid more for a tire just to have my car done as promised which was an hour. They finally finished my car at 3pm. 6 hours later!! And to top it off I get here to pay for my car.. they make me wait while they go through every single tire in the book with the person in front of me. Worst tire place I've ever been too. Didn't get my tire fixed here, but had a leak in my tire looked at by one of the guys there named Wayne. He was a real stand-up guy; He dropped whatever he was doing and took at least 30 minutes to take look at my car and give me advice without charging me. He gave me a reasonable price to patch up the tire and even gave me other tire repair shops that might do a better job changing out my tire (given that I had a very specific tire/rim). He even got the air pump out to pump air back into my flat. Good customer service and honest people! read more
